Fork.lol is another source for the difficulty prediction: https://fork.lol/pow/retarget

Thanks for the link. Looks like a good source for info that I did not have.

It would be nice to get another block before the diff change.

Mine on!

Got an estimated on the next change?

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Bitcoinwisdom has been a bit shaky on their math over the past 6 months.  I've lost a lot of faith in them.  I would love to see the -16.49% like they are showing but I'm not going to hold my breath.  A lot can happen in 11 days.

Agreed. That is why I asked.

That estimate is incorrect we are already at 2.23 T difficulty and looks like we are probably going to add another 15%. Looks like it should change in 17 hours or so. I used to trust the numbers at btc.com but not sure I do at this point, they have been having some issues lately.

I agree, but the timing is probably in the ball park. -16% would be the dream! Smiley

911 IT Admin. I keep 911 up so you get help ASAP!
Does anyone have a list of hosting companies that have good rates and take new customers with small miner counts? I'd like to expand, but can't put more in here, plus I can't put more in and keep them cooled (in the summer when it gets HOT here).

Just checked the fans in my two S9´s and both exhaust fans are connected to the FAN5 connector. No problems at the moment with the fans ramping up and down.

Thanks man, gotta check a couple of S9's that coincidentally I was cleaning yesterday and didn't check how the fans were connected.

By the way, one of these fans is reporting >30.000RPM  Huh   http://tinypic.com/r/4g6f5e/9

That is one HARD WORKING fan!

Just moved my machines over to Kano. I was looking through the pool stats, why did the PH rate nosedive in November? Many people must have left the pool or one really big user.
2 really big users.
You can see why at the end of October
875.193% block followed not too much later by a 928.788% block.

I checked mine, the one that runs higher temps and the one that ramps up and down are connected with Exhaust fan to FAN 5 ( Second connector from edge )

OK Lets vote on the fan wire locations - Because I have 3 set up one way, and 2 the other way.
Indicate where your exhaust fan connects to on the board.  Is it closest to the outside edge, FAN 6 Connector? Or is it Connected to the FAN 5 connector that is second connector from the outside edge.

Power down, doesn't take 5 mins, takes out the risk, and with 5nd it won't matter much. I feel you though, I hate to shut them off as I'm still ramping up. My geek friend said the fans could control more than we think. Just safer.

Guys, I have a 13.5 Th/s S9. But since I changed settings to sg.kano and shut the window of the balcony a little bit it's now always over 14 Th/s. Temps are 67, 60, 60 and GH/s avg is 14,008.

Is my miner doing too much and killing its longevity or it's completely normal..? I used to keep the balcony window wide open and temps were like 60, 50, 50 or something like that and it always hashed around 13.5 Th/s. Kano.is website is registering my miner's hash rate at around 14 to 15k.

Thanks guys.

Nothing to worry about.. you're fine.

Sounds like a good problem to me. I have one S9 that always runs hotter than the others. It never gets below 70C but seems plenty happy. It has a Nidec fan, the rest have Y.L. fans. I think I may change out the fans before summer and see if it helps.

Mine on!

I am looking to keep a couple spare fans on hand - just in case.  But Bitmain wants 15 USD per fan, and 20 USD to ship 1, or 30 USD to ship 2.  Yet I asked them if they could put in the two fans if i ordered them into my order of the A3 that I just bought...  and no response.  Then they shipped out the A3 without a PSU.. at least I have my spare PSU so I can at least use the thing.

I just noticed tonight that on all of my other unit the fan where the air comes out runs faster than the one where the air goes in. The one that runs warmer is just the opposite, the exit fan is running slower. I do believe that is the issue.

Typical Chinese Quality checking.  I checked on the two that I have in my office ( YES LOUD) and the fans are connected different too.  I will have to check on the other ones later.  But this one that looks to be the wrong one, is the one running hotter and is a 14.0 TH unit.  The others are 13.5 Th

Thanks for pointing that out.  I would never thought to of looked at that. I TOTALY trust made in china stickers! Wink
No Offence to the Chinese community....  just sometimes shortcuts that are taken cause a lot of problems.

Is a power off required? or can I switch them real quick without power down?

EDIT:  Nevermind.. They are hot and get hot faster without a fan..   WHY did I even think I could do it while it was on  hahah
