I hate desktop notifications.  But do you know what I think would be cool?  Desktop notifications when we get a block!

Don't ask me why.  I know it's illogical for me to want something I hate.  But it's like this... I hate onions and I hate sour cream.  But I LOVE sour cream and onion dip!  Insanity, I know. Roll Eyes
The iPhone app does that - the Android one probably does also (though I'm not sure)

(Edit: though ... I get ... 6 notifications ... iPad, 3 different devices with pushover, a desktop popup, desktop music and a minecraft notification Smiley
well ... I also have all the server monitoring that shows it in about 12 windows but I don't count that)

Love it when I wake up to two blocks! Great start to October! And we finished September with 99.80 PPPS% even with those killer red block toward the end - that's darn good in my book - gotta love this pool!

But how did you pay Kano if it's still has only like 76 confirmations?  Huh
The previous one wasn't confirmed yet.

Sorry but I'm confused, this last payout for which block was it??  And how many payouts we have coming in the future now, 3 or 2?  Thanks! Smiley

Never mind Kano!  I understand why I got confused, it's just that i couldn't see the rewards for the last found block in the rewards page yet.    Thanks! Smiley

Should we be setting the Minimum Diff for each worker or should we let the pool pick?
Leave it unless there's a problem with your miner/mining source that can't handle the default.
No recent miners have this problem.

Curious... How long before all of my hashing is counted?  I am hashing at roughly 32 TH/s.  The first block counted my average as about 1 TH/s.  Understandable, because I had only been on the pool for a couple hours.  The second block, after 12 hours, counted my average as 5TH/s.  It seems like it will take 3 days to have my hashing counted in full.  Just wondering how this works.  Thanks
If you look at the help/payouts on the site it will explain the 5nd payout and the current length of the 5nd is 2days 23hours
https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout

Thanks.  I had to take some Excedrin after reading that. hehe  Ok, so my guess of about 3 days was right in any case.  That seems very odd.  I hope when the payout levels even out, they make up for the losses I am taking during these first 3 days.

if you leave you still earn for 72 hours

if you have a black out you earn for 72 hours

think

on the kano page my account  graph  I am not mining  but for the next  50 hours if we hit  a block I will earn some coin

I got 3 S9's hacking away but can't seem to log in to check stats on the pool...
Is it just a busy night?
? The web server is ok.
Do you mean you can't see it, or you fail to login?

Ah!  Ok, I get it now!  Thanks!  Let me just say that math is not my strong point.  The way Darkstar_ and Kano just explained it though, was a eureka moment. Grin

How it actually works, as opposed to how you see a 'ramp', is that your payouts are simply spread out over 5ND which is currently about 3 days.
You get paid for each share you submit, over the 3 days after you submit the share.
What this does is reduce the variance in your payouts.
Something like this if you think of it as submitting a share (s) each block:
Code:
                        s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
                  s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
            s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
      s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
If you consider the + to be the reward points when we find a block, the 5ND is simply the time it takes for the overlap of all '5' shares
Of course you keep submitting shares, so the gap appearing at the bottom doesn't begin until you stop mining e.g.:
Code:
                        s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
                  s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
            s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
      s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
