If you try to use the API and get that wrong repeatedly that will also block you.

If you then have an app, always trying to get the API with incorrect details, it will forever keep you locked out.

PM me your IP address or account name and I'll work out how you blocked yourself

OK - ban cleared.

Looks like the problem is an old bug that I've never fixed where it can ban you incorrectly.
It's pretty rare, and on the todo list ... but I didn't find the cause the one time I looked into it.
I'll push it up the priority list and sort it out after the accounting is done

If you try to (unsuccessfully) login more than a certain number of times in a given period, you'll be locked out for a timed reset period. That would explain why you could login from a neighbor's place.

I have heard/seen that message before. I think it means too many attempts to log in unsuccessfully. It would appear to the pool /Kano, that someone was trying to brute force their way in by trying different passwords. I think either the pool or Kano locks those IP's if that is detected.
Kano will probably have to "unlock" your account for you.

Just my guess. Good luck.

I installed the Android app for Kano Pool. It demands that I fill in a couple of things first, such as user name and API/BTC address. I have put my bitcoin wallet address in for API/BTC address, but it won't accept it. What should I be putting there? If I hit SAVE, it says "Checking BTC Address," then says "Invalid BTC Address." I can guarantee it is my wallet address.

In the User Settings in Kano Pool, I found a thing to generate an API key. I clicked it. It gave me a long alpha numerical string. I tried that in the Android App for the API/BTC address and it didn't work either.

Follow up on why 5n is good. I moved off the pool for the next week or so while moving and setting up a new spot.
So far I have not mined for 20 hours we hit 3 blocks. I have been paid for all three slowing dropping the share as I wind down to a zero average.

That is 0.004 plus over 17 usd while not mining.
