Kano, any issues with setting our payout address to a SegWit address?
If you mean the buggy P2SH addresses that start with '3'?
They've been around for a long time and I paid one from the very first pool block Smiley
Yes the P2SH Addresses, I feel like it would be better when consolidating mining rewards. Could you elaborate more on your opinion of the P2SH address?

I know that you are fast Kano Smiley
That's why I wanted to secure the post haha
I have now completed my message.
Heh, I actually usually post info in IRC and often text people before I get to posting here ... since yeah, if I'm in front of my computer I know about the block as soon as it happens.

And I'm gonna take the newbie's word who just registered to post this and tell me how great that SCAM is. Um yeah.
Of course a web site listing our blocks as their blocks can't be a scam could it ...

But not only do they they list our blocks, they even show our hash rate.

They also claim to be kano.is on their web site:
"KanoCKPool was founded in 2014 as an Bitcoin mining startup. We’ve developed the world’s top Bitcoin mining pool with the most advanced deployment technology. We’ve also released cloud mining products."

It's all bullshit - it's an obvious scam.

Moving my miners from F2. Whats the main difference from the way they payout to the way kano.is pays out?

I just know that Kano includes the block fees in the payment and that each block has to get 101 confirmations before it matures and then is paid when the next block is found. So it takes a little while for payments to arrive but they are more than others.

Would be awesome if we got like a 5 block Friday or Saturday so that our statistics even out before the end of the month and get us little closer to 100% luck!  Tongue.  Let's cross our fingers fellas!   Grin

That's the plan!  Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

I ask this question trying to understand and adapt to the new payout method..I have not received payment for blocks 481667 and 481716 which have both matured.  I thought under the new method they were paid out once matured rather than once matured and next block found.  I am not complaining, just trying to understand.  Thanks.
The transaction is always sent once matured (well almost always)
You just may not see it until it confirms the first time, which will be when it gets in a block, any block, like just happened.
Though recently blocks were pretty empty so I added a fee and they got confirmed by other pools and you would have often seen them unconfirmed also.
I'm not adding the fee at the moment coz it's pointless - see the size of the block we just got, and that was only a 12 minute network block.

Ahhhh, so there was never a change to the payout method, you were just adding a transaction fee which is why we were seeing payouts faster.  Got it.  Thanks Kano.

Wow!  What happened to like 20PH...? Huh
Hi, there was a DNS problem for a while. Resolved now.

Although I have 4 DNS servers with 4 different providers, they all slave off a "hidden" master Amazon AWS server.
Unfortunately something has gone wrong with the AWS server - it reports on amazon as 100% ok but I can't connect to it (even after rebooting) and thus of course the DNS slaves can't talk to it either.

I've rerouted the DNS for now and all should be OK again.
Now to work out what's up with the AWS server ...

I've been having DNS issues on off yesterday all day.  I use L3 as my primary and OpenDNS as secondary.

M
I run all my own DNS servers (including the master that isn't accessible by anyone, but me and the other 4 DNS servers)

The point of the 4 slaves is that they are on 4 different providers (also different from the master) so if a provider craps out or has network problems, the others should still be OK ... and 4, well ... 2 is better than 1 ... so 3 is better 2  ... so 4 is better again Smiley

The 4th one is actually in China also - it's been running DNS for ages but not as a listed DNS server, I only added it to the list for kano.is yesterday, but long before the problem occurred, it's unrelated (and I've actually not done the last step yet of registering it on the registry yet) that was gonna be today ... but things went awry for a while there ... but it's all OK again and back with the AWS as the master of the other 4.
