Hello there,

... Neoscrypt down ?
-- SHA256 Down ?

http://www.zpool.ca/?address=1Ev698UrUTL52wyrdRfRK25BfjXaA7YDWd

My D3 antminer (x11) just died here, as you can see.... i am now trying to revive it.....

The other miners (5 x S9) are online, but DID not hash for some hours ?? I can see that on the graph. Same for my GpuRig, which was mining Neoscrypt...
It went down...but it did not go to the backup pools.

The scrypt miners kept working.....

Those antminers are running in a DataCenter, and there was no error. (no hardware fault, no networking fault, etc).
(seperate cabling, redundant, network/power, seperate racks, etc, etc.)

Can someone look into this?

Thanks,

DS-M

P.s. i am a former HP Hardware Engineer. If you need special hardware, to handle the load for example, just sent me a message private. Who knows...

[update] : Seems SHA256 graph fixed itself......but payments for those 6 hours included or not? Neoscrypt is still not showing up, except for the miner information.

[Update II] : Things changed... Now everyhashrate is there....but balance is way off. Time to seperate DB, and put some NVME ssd's in it? Intels newest 3DXpoint SSD has good perf !!

I have a huge number of workers at one location

Stratum Proxy, my friend.

I don't know much about this -- is there a popular link to learn more about setting one up / pointing it at ZPOOL with a front-end switcher (I am using Nemosminer) or just Google is my friend ?

Thanks =)

Sundownz>  Stratum proxies are used for your miners.  They all connect to the proxy, and the proxy connects to the pool.

Malthrax> This will not HELP with API requests. Don't make stupid suggestions that send someone down a rabbit hole unnecessarily.

He doesn't need to have every single one of his miners polling the API constantly.  Do it from one place and re-direct the miners appropriately, either via a command & control program, or a smart proxy.

The correct solution is for the pool to cache the information with a reverse proxy, and deal with the load.  It's on the service provider to provide service (especially one that is not free), not up to consumer to the work around archaic technical challenges.

He doesn't need to have every single one of his miners polling the API constantly.
If you have separate 6 miner/mangers running that poll it once a minute, you're going to get errors.  Once a minute is not "constantly."
I stand by my statement: That's bad practice on the pool side.

payouts were only delayed wed/thur. It's back to regular schedule now.

Up to now, still not get paid out more than 48 hours.
Do you really have schedule to pay out again?

Hi.

I have been trying this pool for about 3 days and everything was working fine (perhaps some glitches on the frontend but not a major issue).
But in the last hour I have seen my total balance has been reduced . My main coin is Verge (XVG) .At the first sight I thought maybe it would be exchange for coins, but after I realized it just nulled all SHIELD coins mBTC values as you can see in the picture below:

https://imgur.com/4SwUguV

Is there any way to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance.

From Twitter:  We’ve disabled @StocksExchangeR because they’re not sending BTC. Coins found just on that exchange will show as 0 BTC value until the exchange sends the BTC and is reenabled.

its already been resolved.

I would really like to mine for some LINDA coin so I added the currency in the c= option. But zpool is showing me that there is a shortage with this coin. This has been the case for about 2 weeks now. Will there be some LINDA coins to mine in the future?

I'll try it one more time but the wallet constantly reject blocks with some error about the time is too far in the past or something. It was a huge drain on profitability and will probably be dropped.

Did you take Linda offline again?

Everything was running fine until this morning and now its all wonky.

yup, LINDA is done. way too many rejects.

Bummer.  I guess I'm mining for you this weekend on that card.

I'm away travelling BTC payouts will resume Friday night. They require manual approval which I can't access at the moment do to my own misconfiguration.
In case you hadn’t noticed already BTC payouts have already been sent.
Cheers

Payouts seemed to have stopped again (nothing for over 24 hours).   Are you still having to do them manually?  Do you have an ETA on when the configuration issue you mentioned would be fixed?

payouts were only delayed wed/thur. It's back to regular schedule now.

Then FYI something new may be going on, I have no payments for 24 hours and was well over the threshold (a few multiples of it).  Wallet 1BsUAfX7dLinbyiipSRUgbgyfp8GzJMHtb  Any chance you can post the BTC payment time in addition to the rolling 4 hour payout time for other currencies?  That would help to know when expect BTC payments, as (honestly) I originally didn't catch the 'next payout' referee to the 4 hour payouts for other coins.  As always, thank you for everything!

zpool's API has some kind of limitation on it. If you poll it too quickly it returns nothing.  Thus, appearing down.

If my miner has just polled the API, and then I restart it, 9 times out of 10 the API return is blank.  Yes, it's very annoying.

1 query every 10s is the limit.

I assume this is done by IP address?

I have a huge number of workers at one location so I end up having machines get stuck on the same algo for many hours as they cannot get an API update.

Any ideas on a possible solution ? Is there a way to have the API check by IP & also the Worker ID -- I do assign each worker a unique ID.

The API has no idea about your worker ID.  It's just an HTTP call.

I see. ZPOOL is my favorite but with so many workers on one IP algorithm switching simply doesn't work correctly.

I've been on Ahashpool for a week or so now and I simply don't like it as much for various reasons (slow stats, less info on the stats page, fewer coins, etc)... but the API doesn't time out and things swap as they are supposed to.

Yeah, the API limitation is archaic.  Any decent service should be able to handle calls to its API without a problem.
