Personally, I am expecting that for some good weeks after the merge there can be a good inflow of momentum for Ethereum so there is a big possibility of its value to go up. However, it would not be able to sustain it for a long time especially if people will realize that there remains many big problems with this "heir-to-the-throne" crypto network. So we can all benefit with its coming gains but as always we should not close our eyes to the fact that expectations can be so high and some can be disappointed.

For now the predictions were not in the favour of ethereum to go steep rise once after the merge. For different reasons the merge is predicted to bring some down market and further make positive move. So, rather than thinking of selling it is good to hold the ethereum for long term. Even if the merge is effective, we can't experience the best growth instantly. It follows the market trend, so when bitcoin turns bullish we ethereum too will grow.

I think after the merge of Ethereum it will go up and will make a new ATH. So before taking any decision you should research by own and decide what you want to do or you can sell a small amount before the merge. It's all about depends on you.
I.dont know why many of you guys believe the the ethereum merge is going to change thing in the network, you are not the only one who believes the ethereum market price will go up after the merge, but I put it to you the ethereum merge is not going to pump the price and is not going to reduce the transaction fees either too. The merge is all about the connectivity of the network to another layer 2 chains that will enable the movement of the ethereum network on the POS network of computing.

Keep or sell ethereum before the merge?

I've made some researches and found plenty of rumors saying that ethereum will dump after the merge and why's that? (short term)

I’m still holding my ETH since I bought it at a higher price and have no choice but to hold it, I can say that it’s better not to panic and just see what will happen after this merge. Just keep on Holding because this update is for the good of ETH platform and they wont push through this update if they didn’t believe that it will work. The founder of ETH and the team behind this is doing their best to upgrade their platform, I believe this update will be good.

Never care about these rumors, they are just untrue expectations, this merge will be one of the largest updates to Ethereum, so it is likely that Ethereum price will help make a new ATH because it will attract a lot of investors, the purchase rate will increase, do not worry about the short term, everything is possible In the crypto market, but in the long term, it is expected that Ethereum will exceed 4 thousand dollars, so rest assured, and even if there is any price dump, you just have to hold your coins for the long term and never sell before the merge.

i am also on the side that the price of eth will rise instead of decreasing its price. it may dump a lil but it can easily go back and increase again. the assurance with eth is that you are not investing in a crappy platform but you are holding one of the top projects. with this, in my opinion, it is better to hodl your eth. you will regret if you are seeing the price is rising up and you already sold yours.

Keep or sell ethereum before the merge?

Perhaps, the dumps can be possible this time even with the merging happens. It was just the FUDs circulating the market making people get worried that the ETH price will lose more of its value but we don't have any proof with the scenario, not a single thing. Besides, even to say it drops more but if we never touch it nor sell them, we have nothing to lose either.

Now, if you are a long-term holder, selling is not really on your mind cause you know it will recover after the dip (if there is any). Just like what I gonna do.
This is where risk taking would take place on each person or individual who do tend to make out decisions specially into their ETH's ..Whether they would be holding
or would be accumulating even more or would tend to sell out before the merge happens. There are only two instances that might possibly happen whether
it would pump afterwards or would eventually dump.No one really knows because it would neither be depending on the community majority decision
and other big investors or in short with those lots of factors which could affect overall price movement.

Anybody can say anything and Ethereum as we know it has grown beyond a mere inventory that a mere bad talk can just drop the value in the market. As for me, I would love to keep and even bag more before the merge.
Eth already has power, so any negative rumors about this project will not be easily dispelled, especially with the merger of Eth, their network will be better and of course more projects will enter the Eth network again because with the merger of Eth the high cost can be minimized again so that to make transactions using the Eth network you are no longer afraid of high fees so it never hurts to hold a coin that has great potential in the future, namely Ethereum.

the eth merger will not help this network reduce gas fees, this update is only intended to help eth reduce energy consumption and be more environmentally friendly
we won't see any significant changes in gas fee reductions or eth processing speed improvements until the next update
eth is a long-term investment, so don't worry too much about short-term dumping, just like bitcoin tries to hold eth for as long as possible

it is better to sell, because indeed it will keep you away from price volatility,
indeed we cannot see the future for sure, but from its history in crypto currency "buy when the rumors, sell when news arrives",
this is what make why I recommend selling it, this has often happened in the world of cryptocurrencies, so don't be too greedy

If you follow such a strategy as selling on the news, then it should have been done when the price of ETH was at $2000. Now the price is not so attractive for sale, and even more so, if you sell ETH, you will deprive yourself of the opportunity to get free ETHW.

The price of bitcoin will go up and down and this is normal, it becomes a good opportunity if we make bitcoin for daily trading, many people can profit up to thousands of dollars in a week or even less because of trading in binance or other exchanges. But if we focus long -term then buying and hold is also a good choice.

There has been a stir in the entire crypto industry regarding the merge of Ethereum. When the news of the merge of Ethereum came, the price of Ethereum had crossed two thousand dollars. Ethereum is a very strong coin. The stakeholders of Ethereum also know and  Believes that when Ethereum merge, a lot of pumps can be seen on that day.And when Ethereum gets a pump, it will push the rest of the market up as well, because those who bought into Ethereum have a good chance that the price of Ethereum will go up.So selling Ethereum before this time merge will not be a good decision.  should wait for September 15th and not sell Ethereum before the merge.Because there is a chance of high volatility in the market that day۔
I do agree that 2k+ is given after the merge, maybe we have gone down a bit recently because of the mt.gox news but that’s how crypto is when something bad is heard in the news.

But, if something bad on the news caused it to go down then it means that something good in the news (like eth merge) will make sure that it goes up as well. That is what I am trusting with right now and it will surely happen, what I do not get however is the fact that we can't make it work in anyway or capacity currently, it would need to be done first and then spent a bit of time later. I always gathered as much ETH as I can, of course I do not have the 32 ETH goal that I have, but I am hoping to get there eventually.

Keep or sell ethereum before the merge?

I've made some researches and found plenty of rumors saying that ethereum will dump after the merge and why's that? (short term)

Not a perfect time to sell, not I'm also in a panic that is why no matter what will happen during this proposed merge, I'm still holding. If the drops come, I don't waste my time but I have to buy more and fill my bag ready for the upcoming bull season. We're not be going to afraid if the results of this merge will drop the price of ETH because in the next few days, it rolling back high again. That is why we should stay firm and focus on our plan. Don't let these distractions ruin our plan.

Since the beginning of my investment in Ethereum I did plan for a long-term investment, so I like you to keep holding Ethereum no matter what.
I will only sell Ethereum if my target is reached, as long as it is not achieved I will continue to hold Ethereum no matter the price of Ethereum goes up
or down. Even if I have extra money I will buy Ethereum again, I will try to collect as much Ethereum as I can afford. I did all that because I believe
the future of Ethereum will be bright and Ethereum will be very profitable for long term investment. I totally agree with what you said that we should try
to focus on our original plan, don't let us be influenced and change our plans just because there will be an update on Ethereum. Because I believe
whatever happens to Ethereum will have a good impact on the future of Ethereum, so I think it will be very profitable if we invest long term in Ethereum.

I think it is better to hold your ethereum rather than to sell it, my reasoning is quite simple, I think it's a bad idea to sell your coins because there is not a lot of room for ethereum to go down that much further, on the other hand there is a potential and room for ethereum to grow during the next weeks, it may not happen but I think the possibilities of that happening are higher than of the price crashing, there is another possibility and that is that the merge doesn't move price that much and in that case you do not really lose anything by holding your coins.

It is hard to say that ethereum will dump after the merge, in another aspect, I see many people taking advantage of this event to buy ethereum for short-term profit because they believe that merge will help ethereum increase in price quickly.

Sell or hold it is up to you, your ethereum buying goal is long term or short term. If it is short-term, it is best to take partial profits, but in the long-term, I think there is no need to do anything more. If you think ethereum is dumped then you should prepare extra money to buy ethereum with high discount.

The Ethereum merger is an upgrade made to their network by converting PoW to PoS and is a continuation of the Eth 2.0 upgrade to reduce the hefty rate of gas fees and stack transactions on the network so it has no effect on Eth holders in their wallets so there are several possibilities when this update occurs is there is an increase in the price of Ethereum because many investors are also aware of the upcoming Ethereum update, ETH owners can bet their assets for profit so it's better for you to hold your ETH assets while waiting for updates that occur later.
