And the most important thing, come from a starting point that you assume that all ICOs are scams and will probably will not finish the project that they are presenting.
You need to think whether the ICO will end up trading at more then the starting point( or offering price), or it will be trading lower, that's the question you should be asking yourself as most of the people won't wait for the project to come out unless they are really connected to the project's idea, I assume it's not the case.

The price fall of the token is happening only because of the investors who will sell their holdings when it is listed on exchanges but it doesn't mean that is scam, the supply of that coin or token increased so the price has fallen bit if it is really a good project in future it will regain its lost value by having its own investors.

Perfect, if hold the coins after the coin launches then we find the marketplace supply has been reduced and we can see the token price up for sure. This has been done by the investors and project holders only. If they did not sell the tokens to make the money out it.
Those coins will show the marketplace value for sure in some months.
May be you guys can find the value as more than 5 USD for the concern tokens.

Very nice advise, I also want to add, since you are into the crypto world, always make sure that the security of devce is up to date, never share your device with anyone and use only a trusted internet provider, never use a public internet, they might hack your system and once they do, they might use is it against you and try to breach in to your system and take your coins, the same also goes if you have a cold storage, never give out your password to anyone, they might hack you and take care of your devices, since we are using 2fa, it will take time for us to retrieve our accounts once 1 is missing, also do not save any information in your device, make sure to save it on a different device or simply write it down, though it may take time, it is better to be secured than sorry.

That was a very nice education and alert you have given. We all have a lot to still learn here on crypto. People are scammed on countless occasions so we all have to be vigilant

Exactly he give us good hints and educated us in crypto world, it is necessary because now mostly new generation are very conscious in crypto currencies by earning. Then other people who are scammer they are ready to hacking our coins, that's why we must be careful about it.
It is very important to be careful about your bitcoin, we should use our bitcoin to save for long time, the other thing that you will have to do is  buy at low price and sell at high price, it is time to save your bitcoin in your bitcoin wallet and let it grow don’t sell your bitcoin at panic price, most important thing is patience so have patience and don’t sell at panic rating, hold as much as you can hold, you will not ;lose anything, so keep this that mind price will rise and fall but you will have to face the situation.

With the surge of Initial Coin Offerings in 2017 and the current price of the coins this year, some people are discouraged to invest in ICOs because they would have obtained more coins if they buy now compared to ICO as the price is half or even 1/10th of the ICO price. Many investors are discouraged but still there are some who are successful with their investments and still choose to invest in ICOs because they know what to find in an ICO just what you suggested OP. As for me, I prefer to invest in a coin when it is already listed in exchanges because there is a higher tendency it would be lower than ICO price.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom
This is why many are also taking advantage of the telegram groups by displaying themselves and disguising as the admin's, there's no way to stop this but to give public awareness.

There are also scammers on twitter.

Just like by visiting those announcements from the developers, there are these like giveaways that are being held through that.

When there is some instructions that dictates to send you xx amount of eth or bitcoin to an address, that's an obvious scam.
There are many scammers like that and they are everywhere so the only thing we can do to protect ourselves is to not be so dumb, scammers are very smart somehow they are able to get the list of everyone that invested in an ico and then they send them malicious emails trying to get their private keys and unfortunately many people fall for it, so people need to familiarize themselves with the current scams so they can avoid it.
Out of their laziness their natural intelligence is coming out in everything that becomes popular, they are creating a way to scam people.

And about those malicious emails, it's been in old days that there are so many email scams that are coming out.\

Now they have upgraded into cryptocurrency so as a protection, don't expose any information relevant to your identity because it can be used against you by these scammers.
It is true that the scammers are becoming more advanced but I think that they're still making use of the old formulas and if people are not able to protect themselves from those attacks then how are they going to protect themselves for the new attacks of the scammers and the hackers, also it is a good idea to try to not open any links that are sent to you through social media because most of the time that includes some kind of virus that can compromise your information.
There is a lot of risk involved when you deal with any of the thing which involves an internet and that the probability of the risk increases even higher at times when money is involved. There are so many things which you need to take care of when you are there in the world of the crypto currencies which includes having a good background knowledge, keeping yourself up-to-date, staying aware of the scammers and above all, keeping yourself cool and calm.
The risks have always been there the biggest problem with cryptocurrencies is that once you send your coins to another address you cannot get them back this is a great feature of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and it's one that I like but it's also a feature that scammers are using, so once they get your coins you'll never get them back.

Yes following some instructions or some regulations will helpful you to get some profits so you can make it simple and do it simple and make it simple money is not our life but life needs some money that’s all.

It may all sound so easy as it is being listed. But the bitter truth is that almost all ICOs are full of shit.  And it seems so hard to decode the good from the bad ones because fraudster developers are now working their ass off and setting up ICOs that has the features of the good ones. So even if you check and read their white papers,  check out the LinkedIn profiles of the developers,  it's so hard to tell.

Bitcoin is GOD
Very informative. Those things will surely help our fellow newbie members because that's what I execute in this market that are full of compromise and scams. I know that those will work because I have never experienced hacks.
It will! It is just quite unfortunate though that as much as you keep saying all of these, some people will still not listen or read, and would still keep falling for it over and over again, which is what had led to the idea of regulation which we obviously have to admit is going to be a lot of help.

Most people are just too lazy to do research and I feel that is where a lot of investors, especially newbies always end up missing it. They just feel anything goes and end up investing.
This is the main problem, many people are not ready to become investors they think that the only thing they need is money to invest, and that is simply not the case they need a lot more they need to be willing to spend time investigating each coin and the developers because if they don't it is almost a guarantee that they are going to lose some money and are not going to get any profits.

This is probably why the social media platforms have now chosen to ban ICO ads. Since there are many which are scams, their users may get victimized of these scams and their reputations will be at risk. These advertisements may help facilitate the scammers reach a bigger audience through social media. Awareness on how to avoid these scams should be spread so that the users may know what to look out for. There are red flags which help us tell whether an ICO is likely to be a scam.
In the world of the crypto currency, scammers are one of the biggest threat to all those who have invested their money into it because scammers keep on trying different techniques to target people and then snatch their money and the crypto coins from them. You need to be very aware of all such kind of people and that you need to be sure that you are dealing at the right place and you have not fall victim of any such thing.

Those are really good tips especially for the newbie like me. I don't have much experience in ICO project. But I can easily understand the good and bad one. Recently I invested some money on SciDex. Though this ICO project is new but there has a great chance of earning some good cash. Behind the SciDex there a professional team who is working behind. Always supportive and give your instant feedback.

I think that the most important thing when entering an ICO is to know its developers and how many and in which projects they have been involved.

This is why im completely agree with that banning situation happening on social media platforms since it would really able to minimize the risk on getting scammed due to those projects who do make active advertisement to those platforms and if you are newbie investor then most likely you would really end up on losing money and for sure you will rage at on the site that do advertise it and this is what they think on, it might cost them reduced revenue but in the end they will really mind their own reputation.

We don't know when we are going to face the hacks but we should be very careful when dealing with crypto currency because there are many people wants free coin but they need to be sure check it twice before clicking any link send to you from the unknown users.
At time when you are into the crypto world and that you have invested some good amount of money into it, then you need to handle the situation very much carefully and you need to take the things in a serious manner. If you will just keep relaxing without giving enough of the time in knowing what all is going on in the market, you might end up losing of your money and that you will be left with regret only.

You should change thread title to Keep these things in mind when you are into ICO world. I was expecting general statements and advices in connection to the crypto world, but once opened your thread realized it is only in relation to ICOs. However, there are surely many unaware investors looking for a quick money and that is why they are falling into traps of shady ICOs. It is finally their greed, but as an investor you should definitely spend some time to do your research first.

Yes to live in standard stage we need to follow many regulation if we don't follow that we need to facr some more problems in making good income so my opinion is more than experience the stability is very important in this field.
