Perhaps they will only gamble when alone, where they will feel more comfortable gambling so that no one bothers them. Perhaps people who hide their gambling activities can still be responsible gamblers without people knowing, so they don't experience any problems while gambling secretly.
And each person's mindset is indeed different, and there will be those who disagree if they know someone is gambling, let alone gambling secretly. However, it is each person's choice, and they can only give suggestions.
Doing gambling secretly or alone is very risky if we cannot control ourselves well, no one will remind us when we have gone too far in playing.
Indeed, every gambler has different thoughts, some are responsible and some are irresponsible (they can't control themselves and get emotional easily when they lose).
gambling at alone can also cause addiction and the worst thing is that we can't stop it easily, we need other people. If you hide it in a public place, I don't think it will be a problem, but if you hide it among close friends or family, I don't agree with that because at least the family must know about our gambling activities, so that if we go beyond the limits the family will be able to prevent it.
So for me, if i have pals or friends who gamble, it is normal to let them know about your involvement in gambling since you guys can sometimes go out to gamble together maybe on weekends and so on, or you have a brother or sister who is also into gambling, then nothing is wrong in letting them know about your gambling activities, but letting your entire family, or even friend who are not gamblers, know that you engage in gambling is something i do not support, with all honesty.
