Knowing when to stop is not actually about your losing side but could also be on our winning side. It is important on both sides for me. It limits your loss and it maximize your winnings. If you apply it on one side things will become unbalanced and might drive negative results.

Yes you are right mate, the ability of the gambler to have a stoppage time is his only exit from loses on the long run, this is because he will have more loses than winning and at that will end in either debts or other financial crisis, Many times it has been proven, that those that have a well defined gambling timing always end up making the best gambling decision and their have been able to manage themselves to a point that the walk away in which ever direction they may fine themselves.

So knowing when to stop is Very important for a gambler and many times it has become a known facts to have limits to everything if you want to go far in that thing.
And if they experience more losses because they have spent more time, they should reduce their gambling time or activities because they could experience more losses. Using more time to gamble does not guarantee that they will win, but they can lose more than before. For this reason, they must be aware that the decision to increase their gambling time does not need to be taken to prevent more losses.

We must reduce or limit our gambling activities to prevent large losses. And we can still enjoy gambling games with enough time, especially if we only gamble for fun. Those who want to gamble longer should be able to think about the risk of losing more, which could cost them all their money.

If your aim is to win big before stopping then you are still doing it wrong, either small or big win you need to stop and secure the gains first, postpone your gambling till another time, it's very hard to get lucky in gambling but when you finally get lucky do not let greed take over your mind, you can easily start over by losing all again, take your win and enjoy your gains, come back to gamble another time.

In many country, the reason why many gamblers find it hard to quit is because of the pressure on them, the situation of the country have big effect on almost everyone, this is why it's even deadly to have no job and start gambling, you will end up with depression or anger, do not let the economy of your country make you a gambler, thus is wrong, you must have something that can give you money first, even if it's few amount of money.

I don't have to win, even when I lose my money I stop gambling, that's the amount I can sacrifice per my days in gambling, I know I won't get lucky all the time, it's a matter of understanding, and I don't want to lose a lot either before I win, all I can do is to comfortable keep losing that tiny amount of money until my luck find me again.

One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.
* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.

and yes the point is if you feel enough stop is needed set tight budget for the next time or just drop it all

* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.

I always tell everyone to channel the money after winning, if you made a jackpot lets say 200K and you live in a country like Indonesia you can make a passive income without doing anything by investing in some stock or country obligation you can get decent 4-30% APY on so this is the best bet in my opinion.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.
* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .

I quite agree with this especially when it comes to the gambling area, tho in other areas such a passion in a good way when you lose please don't stop until you find this is enough.

Since the rush of adrenaline is connected with pleasure and reward, gambling may be quite stimulating and cause the release of dopamine in the brain. The thrill and suspense of gambling, in my opinion, can lead to a psychological reliance that makes it harder for us to see the bad effects of our actions. Even when there is evidence to the contrary, we can occasionally be so delusional and self-deceived that we think we can stop our gambling habits or that we will eventually recover our losses.

There are moments when we turn to gambling as an escape from stress or real-life issues. However, the temporary comfort and diversion that gambling offers may obscure the detrimental consequences it has on our general health.
Furthermore, from what I've seen in my country, some gamblers may find it more difficult to identify the warning signs of addiction due to peer pressure and the normalization of gambling in our community. I believe this is one of the reasons why they are unable to quit gambling.

This is right and I think the compensation function of gambling for other issues people have in life is a first and significant sign that this can go into a bad and wrong direction for the gambler. Because one gambling is seen as an effective escape from stress from everyday life, that is when the danger comes into play. The only escape from real life issues is the solution to real life issues, but gambling is never a solution unless it is financial problems and someone hits the jackpot, but who does?

I don't think peer to peer pressure is that big of a problem although I can't speak for all cultures in the world. It's not as it is with alcohol when people think you are weird if you don't drink. If someone doesn't gamble there isn't usually a peer pressuring that person into gambling.

Every gambler gets their chance, but don't overlook the cloud. Gambling should be seen as enjoyment, not a way to make money. The issue is when the pleasure of a win blinds one to odds, which always favour the house. Here, we leave the gloomy route. Gambling can be healthy if done properly. Setting limitations, never betting more than you can afford to lose, and occasionally reinvesting earnings can be rewarding. Gamble moderately and remember that gambling is a game of chance
Know when to stop gambling is important, perhapes not everyone have the mindset to stop gambling because there's always a brighter side and new hope that follows when we gamble. We should be able to put other important priorities before finally settling for gambling, there's a whole lot to learn from the system, we just have to stick to doing what's best for us and we should never think of resting because there's no rest in this world. We gamble every day especially when our favorite clubs have fixtures, we don't hesitate to place wager on these matches.

         -  Actually, that thing should become a habit for gamblers as much as possible, so in reality, that won't happen because there are others who are addicted to gambling and can't stop themselves from really stopping. In short, there is no room for self-control and self-discipline in themselves as well.

But if they already know how to apply self-control from the beginning, they will surely be able to know when they should stop gambling for sure.

I think what you said here is correct. There is a tautological error that people who get addicted should then know when to stop in order to just stop. If they were able to just stop in the first place, it makes more sense that they are the type of people who don't get addicted anyway. I am not a psychiatrist or anything like that, but I assume that people who have sufficient self-control won't run into addictions all that often. The only scenario where I see very self-controlled people run into addictions is when their ability to assess a situation is undermined and they don't realize themselves that their activity is deemed addictive.

Not really, because the impact that a gambler who doesn't know when to stop gambling can have can cause him to lose more and more money. There is another more serious impact of losing money where they can also experience gambling addiction, which will get worse. All gamblers must know what the impact is, and maybe the impact will be different for each gambler, so they need to prevent the impact from happening to them.

If a gambler blames the gambling company, it is his own fault for not being able to control himself. He should have known that gambling carries the risk of losing money, which could even take all his money. And to avoid the risk of losing that money, he really needs to have self-control so he can know when to stop gambling before all his money is gone. The casino will win the case because the casino does not force the gambler to continue gambling until the money runs out. Even casinos always emphasize being able to gamble responsibly.

You need to learn from all those mistakes and use it as good reference while still playing or still betting,  without you realizing your greed will continue to push you for more deposit money eventhough you already suffering from a losing streak,  you need to have that set target  to stop either you are winning or you are losing  there should be a set limitation that you need to follow.

With that kind of set up,  chances that you will not going to overspend your money and more or less you will enjoy as you are not pressures to recover whatever you already lose when you first position your bets.
The most important solution to deal with greed must have a money limit for betting and a game limit, so as you explained that we need to regulate both in every gambling to avoid the initial symptoms of gambling addiction, these rules must be carried out consistently in every bet and never let greed take over your emotions.

We must know that gambling is only for entertainment and not for passive income purposes, so there is no reason to be greedy in gambling to chase wins until you reach a certain profit target, the important thing about gambling is only luck and not analysis, so never use more money than the rules just to find luck that is not guaranteed to be obtained.
Moderation would really be always the key on which this is something that you would really be needing to have as a gambler. It is really just that common sense that you would really be that seeing about those negative effects about that too much gambling and spending towards it. It is really that impossible that there wouldnt really be a time that you would really be able to notice up something about its negative effects.
It is really just that there are people who arent mindful about those negative effects and really just that focusing too much on the current entertainment that they are really that able to experience.
You wont really be that able to experience negative things if you are really just that realistic on what  you are really that making those decisions for.

You should really know on when to stop and you should really know when to play basing up into the leisure needs that you are really that seeking off for a particular time.
You wont really be that making yourself be messed up with gambling if you are really just that responsible towards your actions.

I don't think that anyone can have that sense of satisfaction as you call it when they lose, they will be pained and this is more reason why some people would want to revenge to gain their money back.

Well, revenge gambling creates more problems than it solves if at all it solves any problem except you win, that cannot be guaranteed. Even though this response is geared towards recouping from the loss immediately, it is irrational and minacious because it will add to the loss instead of helping the gambler recover. I think this is triggered by anger and greed so self-control is very important if we must know when to stop.

At some point, I am beginning to think that, we are over reaching for this topic of gambling and what it impacts could be on individual who doesn't have control over they gambling activities, what we need to know is that, casino's are out for business so no one should blame them when an individual becomes and addict which result into debt or other kinds of bad outcomes.

I read somewhere and individual was blaming a gambling company for his last loses, this is because, he failed to manage himself to a point that he can gamble safely, but when he lost his entire life holding, he started to play the blame game on the casino, but I am sure the casino will win the case, because he took the company to court.

The more we put such thoughts in our mind that's the more one draw him self to gamble and when the closeness is too much it because addicted and when it has gotten to such a stage then there is nothing one can do anymore.
However gamblers should not take gambling so serious because the ending results might not be good as some people don't that the idea that some day they might because addicted and there's nothing one can do anymore.
However, IMO, people who gamble frequently  end up becoming addicted, so if a gambler domt want to be in such state he should them reduce the time hes gambling.

I believe that it’s left for an individual to decide what he/she wants  for themselves,  one can decide what he want for his life, it’s not new that gambling platforms strictly warn against  under age gambling, for one to mere register to any gambling site  that shows that he/she has agree to whatever the outcome gambling might bring and should bear the consequences of their actions. Also we have the freedom to choose which path we will like to follow, either the path of self-destruction or the other way around.  People with gambling problems, can choose  to do better for themselves self-awareness like you said is very paramount, know when to stop and withdraw. Better still learn when to go for breaks, stay away from gambling for a while no matter how well it’s going for you with that one can do without gambling.
It is very much important for one to cultivate these qualities; discipline and self awareness or better still stay away from gambling if he can’t keep up after all gambling is not the only thing that can save you. Gambling is mainly for the fun with a little bit of expectation. Basically emotions are bound to rise because you are actually staking you hard earn money and hoping to win so it naturally normal to feel some emotions while gambling, but it how we control our emotions that makes us discipline and responsible.
It is up to the individual to choose whether to gamble or stay away from gambling. Casinos also always warn all their users to be able to gamble responsibly. But the problem is that not everyone can do it because of the temptation of gambling, so those who cannot control themselves will fall deeper into gambling, and that is not the casino's fault. Those who use gambling excessively should have known from the start of their gambling that gambling can make them forget to stop gambling and can cause even more losses. And when they know the risks of gambling, they should be able to prevent anything that could have a bad impact on their lives, especially preventing losing a lot of money because when someone gambles too often, there is a tendency for them to always return to gambling even without self control. That is why a person must know when he should stop gambling so that he does not gamble excessively so that he can prevent the bad effects that could occur. And to be able to say that he has had enough gambling requires continuous practice so that he can get used to always stopping gambling on time. When he gets used to knowing when he has to stop gambling, he will only see gambling as a place to have fun in his free time and will not gamble for too long or excessively because it could have a bad impact on him.

Actually, this is just a matter of self-control for each individual and sometimes everyone's thoughts are different. Of course, what is good is knowing when to stop gambling and not continue losing when they have clearly experienced before. It is very difficult to control yourself when you are emotional because of defeat, but that cannot be blamed considering that human nature is mostly dominated by greed. The importance of having positive things that can be used as a reference for priorities is very important, for example enjoying relaxing time with family or doing holiday activities with friends are also things that can forget about gambling.
Almost every gambler have a good idea about this whole thing and the problem isn't with Knowing what to do or possible solution to their problems buy the issues has always been with taking actions with that which you know already is the problem and thst which you see as possible solution to fix such thing as once.

Self control is something most persons may be aware of and how much it could be of great help to their gambling habit buy because the sense of greed in them which wouldn't let them not to  be able to effectively take action on their habbits to effectively fixt it.  If only people can help themselves enough to have self control, it will be really difficult for them to turn addicted and they will be able to know when you stop since they have good control over their selves to a good extent.

Yes that's right. All control and thinking depends on each gambler when to stop because everyone has a different control system. If I myself quit when experiencing a losing streak, I would stop and rethink another strategy.

However, what every gambler needs to understand is that playing gambling can stimulate systems in the brain like drugs or alcohol which causes addiction. So people who are addicted can continue to gamble which can lead to bigger losses, often also using up their savings and worst of all, they are in a lot of debt. So this advice from the OP is good for reminding us when we should know when to stop so we don't become addicted.
