I exactly am like this, but I've also seen people who don't really want to stop regardless of the series of losses he had. I can't also tell whether or not he understand gambling, because he has been gambling since forever. He made big wins and big losses, even so he didn't get broke, well I guess his business is in good shape after many years until now I still see him when I go to my hometown, but I'm not sure if he's still gambling as he is on his early 70's most probably. So, judging on my experience and other people's experience, it looks like it will all depend on the person's emotional or financial capacity. I feel like there are people who don't get bored gambling, they are just getting tired rather and that just another thing out of 2 that lets them stop gambling other than running out of money.
because once you are too deep with your gambling activities, you will notice that you feel you need to continue your games no matter what. this is why when you are still clear with what you are doing, better take that opportunity to pause and think of your next actions. this will probably save you from future troubles that you may encounter if you push thru your limits in gambling.
the problem is, they are not having fun if they are on the losing side, and they want to recover those losses they incurred. hence, not stopping for the hope of getting back such losses. actually, deciding to stop is hard. you should have your determination to quit as soon as you feel you are losing yourself with your games already.
