One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.

* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.

* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.

* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .
Easy to say but on the time that you are on such condition or  situation then it wont really be that something simple, this is why it would be better that you should really be that mindful on when to stop.
Following those actions above is really that something that would really be basing up into someones control and discipline into their mind on the time that they would really be tending to stop.
There's no such thing about easy stopping midway specially at the moment that you are really that making money or having those winning moments on which it would be normal that
we would really be having those gambling urges on which it might really be that resulting into further engagement on which we dont stop until we do bust up.

* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.
Based on my experience, gambling (just as entertainment) I would stop when I hit the first jackpot and take a break first.
Withdraw some profits and then play back with the initial capital and a little profit gained.

It will probably be effective so as not to lose the initial capital or the money used on the initial bet.
This includes good management as long as you are still in sanity or still have common sense.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.
But about this statement, it will never stop when it does not get victory at all.
This is tantamount to advancing adrenaline to continue playing and playing and unknowingly all the money runs out with no left

Those can't control their feelings when it comes to gambling are the irresponsible gamblers but the responsibility  gamblers always know what they doing. They set budget for their gambling and stop whenever they losing more. Addicted gamblers would even borrow when there is no money to gamble. And the worst thing that would happen to a gambler is to be addicted because the person will lost many things plus properties to gamble. And they would not even remember to stop when they are losing.

The truth is that a significant number of gamblers end up losing more money when they fail to exercise restraint. This pattern often leads individuals down a perilous path, resulting in financial ruin or even addiction. The inability to control the impulse to continue playing becomes a major factor in the bankruptcy and addiction experienced by many gamblers.

These manuals work when the person is still aware of the risks of gambling, the problem is when they are already addicted to gambling, they still find themselves in that phase of "denial", believing that everything is fine when in fact they are already addicted to gambling. unlucky.

Some factors that indicate that you have already reached this stage are:
  • When you need to bet increasingly higher amounts to feel emotions;
  • when you bet increasingly larger amounts and are not prepared to lose;
  • When you feel frustrated or angry when you try to reduce your playing time or when you try to stop playing.
  • When you are constantly thinking about sports betting, regardless of the time of day or the activity you are doing, and this includes work and leisure time with friends and family.
  • Finally, I think the main factor is when you realize that you are even lying to your parents or partner about your gambling activity and the amount of your bets/losses.

Any of these factors is a sign that you are already addicted, but that there is still time to reverse the situation.

Knowing when to quit is key in gambling. Stop when losses bother you, when you feel hooked, or even when you've hit a big win like redirect that money elsewhere. If it's not your day or stress is building, take a break and rethink your strategy.

True, limiting is always the best decision if you are involved in gambling, firstly because in gambling there are a lot of temptations that can make a person fall further unconsciously because the main focus is usually on winning, you must understand that in gambling there is absolutely no certainty whatsoever for the final result between winning and losing, therefore as you said that being a responsible gambler by always being able to manage and control your involvement in gambling is really recommended and must be owned by every gambler.

There are only two outcomes to gambling as I said above between winning and losing, every gambler will definitely experience both as long as they are involved, the point is that if you get a win then there is absolutely no other decision but to cash in and enjoy it, on the other hand when you do lose in one of the sessions then obviously it's time for you to take time to rest, calm your mind and maintain awareness. I think we should really understand and acknowledge the fact that in gambling the risks are much greater than the chances of winning and that is the reason why losing is more common, so precautions such as limiting in all situations need to be taken.

Unfortunately, when addiction starts, it’s hard for a gambler anymore to stop from gambling. And even when he stops, you can’t guarantee that he won’t be gambling again when he got sufficient amount of money. So most probably, when you are gambling, knowing when to stop might be the hardest thing to do as you won’t stop actually if you don’t end up making a big win, or even just recovering your previous losses.

And for those who sees gambling as a good source of income, you can’t expect from them that they will eventually stop from gambling, not unless when they end up losing and become homeless in the long run.

one of the most difficult things for gamblers to do is that they find it difficult to stop when they win or lose. most gamblers prefer to play continuously to cover their losses or to get more money from their gambling. but the reality is that most gamblers lose more of their money when they don't stop when they should and this is what makes many gamblers go bankrupt or addicted to gambling because they can't control themselves from playing.

its important to not gamble more than you can afford to lose

Many will have this wrong motive that the more they keep gambling the more likely their winning chances increases which is completely wrong mentality, we shouldn't have taken such action in the first place, if we do then we should conclude our minds on wether it works out as planned or not, so when we gamble and loose the bet, we shouldn't feels bad about that, it has always been the same thing we know to have happened repeatedly.
No one really wants to lose. Most of the gamblers here are after winnings and there's nothing wrong with it as long as you know your limits as a gambler. The idea of using an amount we can afford losing isn't clear to many; you'll always feel sad everytime you are losing. However, being able to afford means you are not dependent with that amount, that you can still function or buy the things you need on a daily basis.

* Stop when you have a big winning,

Or it will be better saying you don't have to have a big winning before you stop. If you make a disparity between big and small win then gamblers will think they need to keep playing to have big win before they can decide to stop but we know it is a wrong concept for gambling to think that way because in gambling you stand a chance for more negative decision that will lead you into loses if you play for a long time especially if you are already losing as your emotions are taking hold of you. Therefore, you can stop anytime you have the feeling to stop and not to pursue big win. Big win will come on your analysis not because you kept playing.
Indeed, many are confused of the perfect time to stop; it will all boil down to player's satisfaction. If you are aiming to hit the jackpot or pushing your luck too much then that is where problem could arise. While chasing you won't be aware of how huge loss already is. Therefore, it will be better to practice being satisfied if you are in profit already. On my end, I do always secure 50% of my profit sin wach day I would be winning and avoiding the idea of betting til I hit that one big win. This helped me recover with my loss when I was still a daily and heavy bettor. In the long run it is more efficient.

Can we agree in some part that those successful gamblers are those semi-addicted types of gamblers? Do you think they are the one that may have the urge to fully understand what you have stated regarding this "when to stop" stuff or even revise what's even more best? Just an opinion.

I have found this in a local bet shop in Italy (translated) some "general" rules for gamblers:

stop to bet if...
Quote
-you lies to friends and family regarding your habit
-negative moods (angry sad etc)
-investing more and more resources (money time etc )
-continue to play could help your financial situation
-you can't pay your gambling debts properly and these are growing
-you have lost your job due gambling
-you feel gambling has going to own you
personally I would add also, stop when it's not fun! stop if you're wasting money! stop if you are not able to "schedule" your gameplays or when your estimate is not linked to economic achievement.

Quite a good tip and maybe it will be useful for us, me, even you. honestly, for me what you said is the right idea that gamblers should apply. unfortunately, this idea is not as easy as what we talk about and applies to actual reality. the problem is, there are many factors that cause the ideas you express to be quite difficult for us to carry out consistently. in fact, almost most gamblers who have long experience really know the essence of what you say in this thread. we know very well that we already understand concepts like what you said. It's just that, sometimes we never let go of being carried away by the fun of the game, whether we've strayed past what we should or are in the phase of having fun.nI mean pleasure here, getting a win. but believe me, conditions will vary and it all depends on the conditions and situation.

Well, actually to know and apply the idea of when we should stop is not just in words. this idea must definitely be put into practice, especially to get used to it and achieve discipline. one more thing might be a useful tip, we have to know when it's time to gamble. apart from that, always make sure that when you gamble, you are in a healthy condition. I mean, not in an emotional state, annoyed, looking for an outlet and so on. Although this could actually be a medicine for us to get rid of our problems for a moment, if the situation were reversed, the impact could be fatal for us when gambling.

One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;

If you don't have this trait, you should not gamble, gambler is not for the reckless it is for people who know how to value money and how to think clearly and part of thinking is the ability to stop when you need to stop.
I always make it a point, to stop whenever I feel the pressure, and every 30 minutes I take a one-minute pause it calm the senses and regain clarity of my thinking process, we have to practice doing this it will greatly help us overcome stress and pressure.

The problem will always be when a person cannot stop, that is where the problem is. Always when we are in a casino the things we should do are very radical, for example if we do not have control of our money, the money will go away. , and that is what addiction produces, that you cannot control this, when you cannot control your emotions, or your impulses, things usually happen like this, now if we make a good plan before entering the casino things can happen. change and be for the better, that is, if we plan how much budget we are willing to lose when things change radically, many things have to be done, for example:

If we have 100usd and then we have to spend 20usd, we only have to put those 20usd to spend, we cannot have more in case those 20 usd are wasted by playing, because it would be going against our own rules and the most likely thing is When we commit money, it can be lost very easily, so it is better not to do it, and the other thing is that if it happens that we with those 20usd can take it to 150usd or a nice profit, then there is no need to doubt it, there is to withdraw, because those who leave their money there and don't enjoy it, they only lose, after a while that money belongs to the casino and we are left with no enjoyment, so I learned these things not only in the casinos, doing trading, Trading opened doors for me to learn, despite how we can take the reins in a casino, casinos are always looking for a way to win, because it is logical, they are businesses, and we are people who are willing to accept certain things. things about the casino and that when we lose, well we must accept it, we will never seek to recover those losses, because it is likely that we will lose even more, and at the same time have maturity in that sense and not start inventing.

One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.

The reason on why this is very difficult for gamblers to do is because of the initial reaction that they feel whenever they encounter a loss. The most natural thing to do is to take "revenge" by betting again in hopes of recovering such losses. In an ideal world, sure, the gambler indeed recovers their losses; but imagine the amount of people who get stuck on this cycle as they try to break their losses by betting again.

Quote
* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.

I agree with this statement. People who revolve their whole life around gambling should realize that there are other forms of entertainment (and even income) that are possible outside the world of gambling which are less risky in nature.

Quote
* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.

This is what we call being greedy. Gamblers typically do not realize and appreciate what they currently have until everything or half of it is gone. This is applicable in this situation where a gambler tries to gamble and gamble in hopes of increasing that winning streak, only to just lose it all in a matter of minutes.

Quote
* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .

I hope everything that has mentioned here should be taken into heart by these fellow gamblers.

Again, it is not the end of the world if you lost your money in this venture. There are other ways to recover such losses which can be utilized outside the gambling world. Re-evaluate and inspire- think on why you lost and make it as an inspiration to prevent it from happening again.

You have conveyed 5 points which are quite important for gambler to have the right time so they can stop as soon as possible and of course everything can be reminder for them to implement them.
But of these five points, there is one that in my opinion is not easy to do and even seems impossible to determine.

Quote
* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.
Conditions like this are like someone who is addicted and of course people who are addicted will consider gambling as top priority that cannot be abandoned, conditions like this are also the most severe conditions for every gambler.
Those who are in state of addiction and think they cannot live without gambling will experience difficulties that can even affect their mood and thoughts, making them feel restless.
We of course know that every gambling addict will never be able to stop easily and that is why this point is the point with the smallest percentage for success.

We can say stop in any position for a gambler but it is actually much harder on behalf of a gambler to stop at that point. Because a gambler can be at a loss during that time. At that point it is difficult to keep him away from gambling as he will try to recover his losses quickly.

If the gamblers can stop their gambling at the mentioned position then it will definitely be profitable for them. A gambler should stop when he gets a win otherwise he is likely to lose on the next bet. Also, a gambler should stop before he tries to win big because greed can make him lose. If the gamblers can take a break from the above situations then surely they will enjoy gambling.

All of your above tips apply only to professional gamblers but for non-professional gamblers it is impossible to follow all of the above tips and they will never be able to follow the tips.

Most gamblers, after repeated losses in gambling, think that the past losses can be recovered in the next bet, so they continue to bet again and again even after losing the gambling bet. These gamblers never stop gambling after losing.

I can stop myself from gambling when I realize that I can't live without gambling but what about those who have become so addicted to gambling that they can never get out of gambling?

When I get a big profit in gambling, I try to control myself, but those who can't control themselves, lose all the profits of previous bets and become bankrupt. However, if I lose repeatedly in gambling, I try to control myself with great difficulty.
