I joined many campaigns. But so far I didn't face this KYC at the end of the bounty campaign. But as I read the replies on this thread, I found that some of the hunters really experience this kind of a thing. So do you really advise that I will submit KYC at my future campaigns when it hasn't told by the bounty manager at the first place?  Huh Huh

I'm quite happy when there is KYC because some multiaccounts and bot will be discovered (not everyone but at least a part of them)....

I think it is fair enough. is it not in the transactions alone at least need to know about identity. This will greatly help reduce cheating that exists in the bounty. Sometimes the system own KYC was not imprinted early bounty but participants should also actively ask about this problem.

What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?

agree with you this new system of asking for the KYC at the end of the campaign is ridiculous. after putting all the efforts we come to see that the reward is not satisfying by most of the campaigns but we resist ourself to that situation but the main pain comes with this KYC compliance. which brings a lot of confusion whether to share our personal details for mere 20-30$ rewards.

I wouldnt participate in a bounty when theres a KYC needed. But when they announce the kyc on the end of the bounty, i would do it. Because you investet time in the bounty project and there money you will lose!

I don't see anything wrong in KYC, I understand that the owners of multiaccounts and the adolescent are not happy about this procedure at all, but nobody promised that everything would be comfortable and anonymous all the time.

Using KYC is not wrong, it is for security that no one will cheat of having multiple accounts but as a student, we have problems with the use of it because some requirements for the verification, we actually do not have, which make us no pay at the end of the campaign. We are struggle where to find valid ID, billing, business permits etc., because we are dependent with our parents. KYC will be big problem to us if every campaign required that.

This is always the problem recently, but if we will read th rules, there's some rules that said that they can amend anything about the rules and this always happen and bounty participants are caught in the middle and can't do anything but to follow so they can get their rewards that they deserve. Hope every bounty will highlight this so bounty hunter will have the choice and I don't want my identity will soon be sold and use in the black market.

You do not spend any money - so I do not understand why they need anti-money laundering and know your customer verification, maybe they want to get free IDs?
I think this is not for the anti-money laundering why they ask for KYC of bounty hunters. My understanding is that they require KYC to prevent bounty hunters from applying multi-account in a single bounty campaign. I am ok with that as long they stated in the rules even before the bounty starts not at the end.

it seems that all projects will have KYC after the project ends and this for me is good news and prevent participation for many accounts ,, and on the other hand this is very bad for me, because i have followed the project and must register KYC and up to now i do not understand it .

yeah , same feeling from me , it suc*s , after long hard work journey , everything just vanished in the fornt of us because of that dam* KYC , so i suggest to any dev in the ICO world , please respect our hard work , no us as the bounty hunter , means no marketing tools for you too.

We must take into account that in many of the bounties that have made this decision, when they started their campaign several months ago (many of them even from November or December of 2017) the regulatory framework by which the ICOs were conducted was much more lax , and in fact there were still no clear rules regarding these business models because the boom in ICOs was just in process and governments had not yet paid attention to them.

But given the large amounts of money that began to move through the ICOs, new regulations have been imposed recently, and that is why many bounties have been driven to implement the KYC requirement at the end of the campaign.

I believe that the KYC for bounty is appropriate only in proven and popular projects, which will allow to fight with multiple accounts and raise the earnings of honest people.

What you're saying is very true. It is not good of many projects to be doing that to bounty hunters. Bounty hunters spend a lot time tweeting, sharing, retweeting, posting, writing blogs and reviews about projects and if at the end of the day they're not paid it'll be very bad. They should be given the total rules pertaining to the bounty just from the beginning so as to prevent those inconveniences.
KYC after a bounty is not bad though! because recently due to the uncertainty about the rules and regulations on cryptocurrency activities no one would want to be held responsible for any legal actions and hence they do that. But as you said, most of them do not tell bounty hunters early, and at the end of the day some people will work in vain. Anyways i do not blame the bounty managers much even though they're supposed to find out early so as to make the appropriate announcement as early as possible. The project developers should tell them point blank so that they inform us early, just from the beginning.
I have joined a few bounties where they stated right from the beginning that they'll need KYC verification.

It's totally unfair. You must set rules in the first day so anyone can accept them or find another bounty

I don't see anything wrong in KYC, I understand that the owners of multiaccounts and the adolescent are not happy about this procedure at all, but nobody promised that everything would be comfortable and anonymous all the time.

The point is that most of the managers try to fool the bounty hunters who want to stay anonymous and never would join KYC bounties. These mangers should be banned from bct forum as they have bad intentions in not stating out clearly the KYC at the beginning of their campaigns.

The point is that many hunters have many accounts! KYC will not stop them,
but it can slow them down. In bounty I am currently in, KYC is arbitrarily and it
is for the people who wish to buy or earn more.
I respect KYC, and companies needs some way to sort out so many people.
Making new mail account, with new accounts on social networks and here on
forum is easy, KYC is sort of control over all that.
For me it is not a problem to do KYC, it is bothering but if I believe in project
I do it without thinking much.

The initial topic was (and the name of the thread is) KYC at end of bounty campaign !
I think that such bounty managers should be banned!
1. KYC is not a problem for many people but I'm strongly convinced that KYC shouldn't be required in airdrops and bounties. Those campaigns are run at the beginning of any project. So:
  • Who can give users any insurance that the project will not turn out to be a scam or shit-project?
  • Why should people send their personal data to an unknown project?
2. A project requiring KYC at the end of bounty campaign looks very suspicious to me. It looks like managers want to save funds planned for bounty campaign.

I have nothing against the KYC at the end of the bounty! But I believe that a bounty manager should warn all participants about this at the beginning of the bounty. Most of all I hate companies that change the conditions of the bounty at the end ...
I was disappointed by the Velix, after 9 weeks of bounty, they moved to Bountyhive, reduced the payments in the bounty to the ridiculous ! and the percent on the signature bounty was changed (5%  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy) /

This is really unfair. The BM or the devs just cheated on bounty hunters because at the first place they never state that the bounty is having KYC. That's your own privacy and the developers could use that information to track you or use it on other things like selling it into the blackmarket or do KYC on other campaign using your name for them sake. That's crazy, bounty hunters don't have the rights to stop the developers to use their identification, so as ICO investors. This is not fair, actually this is cruel.

I think the KYC rule should be mentioned from the first day of bounty begins that KYC needed for bounty hunter or not, and if needed so which county not allowed for KYC and cant join bounty. If this all things cleared at the first of bounty, there should not change till end of bounty. Other side some project believes that because of KYC rule they can remove scam people from bounty. And some project just ask KYC after end of bounty because they can spend some time by this KYC way to prevent dumping their token from bounty hunters that listed on exchange.
