KYC for airdrops may be seen as necessary by the company, but for the potential recipient it should really be a red flag. Airdrops are usually very small amounts, and it is simply not worth the risk to share such valuable information in exchange for what is probably just a couple of dollars.

I cannot get these people that are sending their docs for a small airdrop. You are risking the safety of your personal documents for pennies guys. Please try to avoid such things and do KYC only if it is really needed.

I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.
The KYC requirement for airdrop is most times used to get the real participants and to avoid double entries.

I don't think Airdrop should require KYC, it's just free tokens so unreasonable if it requires KYC
I will not sell personal data for a number of few tokens or shitcoins that are not clear and do not necessarily have a price
security is still in doubt and who knows what our data is used for

i agree about it but maybe their think everybody who is holder their tokens its same like investor, so their create a rule even in the bounty must to complete KYC to get tokens, and we can rejected because its a rule from ico project when you not allowed you never get it but i think better KYC is only for investor is this rule will be deleted soon
The fact is that cryptography gradually enters into all spheres of human activity and, moreover, is being introduced into the state financial system of many states. Thus, it can be assumed that even ico companies will have a regulator that may require to provide personal data too.

I think some bounty campaigns are confused of using KYC. KYC was created by banks to know their investors. Airdrop participants, on the other hand, are marketers of the project and the distributions they received are rewards for tasks they do to market the coin. I agree that this should be stopped as most airdrop participants join just to receive rewards.

In addition to anonymous reasons, the existence of airdrop with KYC is only troublesome, while what is bounty hunter is not commensurate with what the bounty hunter does. so KYC for Airdrop isn't good.
if Airdrop promises profit then it might be feasible, but for now even the Airdrop is not trusted so applying KYC to Airdrop is very unreasonable and it will only make Airdrop less attractive to people.

Now anonymity becomes a simple promise, because almost everywhere where there are cryptocurrencies KYC always appears!

I do not support the kyc process on airdrop i mean its such a waste of time energy and privacy its should not be considered at all if there  could be other forms of one making verification that would be ok airdrops are free coins why the put so much pressure on it

This is ridiculous and I don’t understand why I should go through KYC in order to receive airdrops it’s terrible, because today it’s really a big threat that can come as a whole from the fact that today people distribute their documents.

Its more reasonable if KYC applied on bounty campaign rather than airdrop. Token reward from airdrop very small and sometimes not worthed. I am prefer not join in airdrop campaign with KYC because i am prefer secure my document from unresponsible people

I also agree with you mate because I also thinking of what if they something like this one, something like that one happened to our personal informations are getting used for a bad idea we can't really depend ourselves. But still we can't deny that in the end of the day after we argue to them about our opinion we still give our documents in order to register to them and get our investments that we buy.

Well kyc for airdrop is not accepted because you can't send your documents for some token that will worth little or nothing.  Reasons why some projects initiate this process is best known to them but I will call it ignorance and unacceptable

It's really disheartening when I see KYC required for just a meagre of tokens for airdrop. What is it actually for? I totally agree with you that something should be done about it because it's already becoming the norm.

I completely agree. It doesn't make any sense asking for KYC fulfillment from airdrop participants. The aim of airdrops is to build a crypto project community by offering tokens to cover a larger reach. When you introduce kyc, participants tend to shy away as very few of them will want to part away with sensitive information over a project token that may well turn out to be worthless. KYC fulfillment should only be reserved for Investors.

Honestly, I have not yet come across this, and I do not think that KYC is needed for Airdrop!

The problem is that some people think that KYC process is the choice of professional  skilled project, but i really think that it seems like someone want use your documents to his needs.
