Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

It depends on the particular project. In most cases you a no need pass KYC for bounty.
But there are exceptions

it certainly forces you to spend some time on registration, but I think this is okay, since our data is for those people who need them already)

This is unnecessary, and I think there's no valid reason that accompanied with this demand for the bounty hunters.

The participants of this forum who join the signature campaign to promote a certain ICO project do not invest their money and this project, and therefore they can not be suspected of money laundering or other similar illegal actions. Therefore, it makes no sense to require from them data identifying their identity and especially copies of the relevant documents. Especially it looks strange in the sense that people are on this forum only under pseudonyms and have the right to confidentiality.
I see that members of the ICO team are using this opportunity with purely fraudulent goals. The requirement to provide additional data appears for some reason, not before joining the campaign, when each member of the forum can refuse such accession, and after the completion of the ICO, when the agreed work is already completed and the signatory campaign participants expect to pay the earned tokens. In this case, there is no choice for a signatory campaign participant who does not want to publish his data and provide copies of identity documents. They will in case of disagreement have to just abandon the earned tokens and this is what some companies are counting on. In this case, tokens are already counted and if someone does not claim them, they are simply assigned.

Crytpomarket need to be more controlled and the first step to prevent scams is to get rid of anonymity.
I don't like it, but probably it will happen more and more: so, better to accept the idea.

For bounty programs usually do not require kyc because kyc is only for ico participants or buyers coin but if there are rules that require kyc means we must follow it.

Agree, I never want to give away such details as passport images etc, that can misused if it falls into the wrong hands, simply for participating in an airdrop of something that will most likely be worth nothing when it hits the exchanges.

Most of the time we will have no idea how the company is processing our very private information. It is stored securely etc. which is very important to avoid identity theft, which is a growing problem.

As active bounty hunter I dont like it of course, but there has been projects, where significant amounts of tokens with substantial value were dropped. Many times the bounties are like 5% of the total token supply so well makes things more complicated but I can see some reason.

Like it or not, we'll have more and more control and regulations in the cryptomarket.
And the first thing is to identify the owners.
If we want to stop scams, this is the first indispensable step.

I really don't understand that there are people who think that ask for the KYC is guarantee that the project is honest and confiable, or that will avoid multiple accounts. Is it that a scam project can not ask the KYC to investors? Is it that a bounty hunter can not use the ID of family members, friends or another methods?

it sounds weird if the KYC development applied to some ICO which the tokens/coins have theme of privacy in their blockchain. it will be no anonymity anymore.

I am also not sure what is the reason of KYC being asked for bounty participants. We are not investors, and KYC is required in case of being an investor. I try to avoid all bounties that are asking for KYC.

kYC is one way that this is the right thing and the project looks very good when he uses kyc to bounty hunter because KYC itself is very relevant to our privacy so that we avoid a multi account and no account abuse. this is very useful to bounty hunter but maybe the thing that is very bored is waiting for KYC in accept

Just don't participate and they will end up begging people to join them again because of the lack of promotion.

i see no reason why they should bordering bounty hunter with kyc, kyc is suppose to be meant for investor not bounty hunters, because for bounty hunters they have already summit most of there identity why trying to get involve in the project. so i don't think there is need for kyc for bounty hunter.

I agree, KYC is for those investors and we are not investors to send our KYC for the bounty. We already send our wallet address to them so I think the address is enough  to give our token after bounty success.

The query of the KYC indicates the reliability and responsible approach of the project developers to their work so I think that this is a good indicator.

There are pros and cons about KYC. I really don't know is it for good of not. The pros is that this method will eliminate most of the scams. The con is that they can use your ID for something bad and you cant prevent it from happening. Undecided

Avoid, new precedent trying to be set, the more people the give in, then you'll have to give you info out for every single airdropped/bounty out there.
It's very dangerous for you to trust these non-reputable individuals with your information and for the future of cryptos as a whole, yet no one is discussing this.

You can blame Polymath for this, they don't want to work harder filter to filter puppets, so instead they want your ID.

Edit: There is probably nothing we can do to stop this, because the vast majority of people trying to do airdrops are very likely to hand over their info without a second thought. This has major repercussions, some of the worst repercussions we will see ever in crypto.

The best thing you can do if you're reading this, is to not give in to these new information whores, who are more than likely to flip your IDs on the darkweb for a profit.
You are correct. You should avoid projects that requires KYC because they can use your identification in bad way. If you want your identification not be use by other people, it is better if you will not join in airdrops our different campaign that needs your I.D.

Honestly, KYC for bounty hunters is a great thing, especially with all those referral programs, and fake referrals that are going on. There will always be some people that would try to cheat the system, and with KYC we can in one hand prevent that from happening. Also let's not say that with cheaters only honest people at are loss at the end.
