Hello World 👽
Yes, exactly KYC should be stopped for the bounty hunters because they do not want to reveal their identity. And because of this thing, many projects have stopped asking for KYC to the bounty hunters.

Kyc must be dismissed for bounty hunters, because it's not comparable to what they get. Kyc is more suitable for investors who have larger coin assets

What is KYC? It means knowing your customer. In KYC some requirements are required such as: Full Name, Residence address, Citizenship, Birth date, Photo of government issued ID (Driver’s License, Passport, ID card),
Social Security number or Tax Identification, Bank Statement, Utility Bill, Photo of bank card .

I honestly think kyc should be stopped for bounty hunters, reason being that we are not buying the token of the project ,rather we are rendering services  to create awareness for the project. Which ought to be paid for.

In another view, if a bounty hunter has to go through KYC ,then it should be at the start of the bounty, during registration, if accepted or passed, then you go on with the bounty.

I did a bounty which i passed, and earned some amount of the token, but i failed kyc and my effort was gone just like that, after rendering my services to them by promoting the project. I got really pained.

This is just an example of what is happening.

What do you all really think about kyc for bounty hunters?
KYC for bounty hunters is manipulative measure used by project team to reduce the amount of reward that suppose to be given to people who promoted their project, though this is not always right in case of security token but if otherwise, i don't see any reason why bounty hunter should do kyc for utility token.

If you only use 1 account to join the bounty, then surely you will never complain about KYC. But there are a lot of people using multiple accounts and so they hate KYC

KYC is not bad but if its been asked in the starting of the bounty then its good because later sometime they rejects the KYC for xyz reason that is not actually fair with the bounty hunters. Asking KYC all of sudden in the end of the bounty is not fair even I agree bounty hunters are promoting the project not buying the coins so they should not be asked KYC. I agree some people say KYC helps to eliminate the scammers from the project but it should be asked in the starting of the project if someone is not ready to provide its kyc its their wish whether to join the bounty or not so that bounty hunters efforts will not goes in vain.

Kyc aims to prevent multiple account cheating when following a bounty campaign. but on the other hand, sometimes the reward is only a little and is not compatible with the mandatory Kyc. quite difficult situation.

Yes, I agree with you.  I recently participated in Quarkchain bounty and after 2 months of work, the reward that I got is only 280 QKC which is equivalent to $6 but we need to complete KYC to receive the reward.  To me, it is not worthwhile to give away my personal details for just $6.  Wasted, I can say.
It was the most horrible bounty I ever knew. There are too many people involved and their budget is extremely low. About 20k usd for the entire campaign and now they have continued to open round 2

such a crap! sorry to say that but sending your info in exchange of $6 is really annoying. hope you didnt send your docs.
if that case will happen to me, i wanna say this to them - go f*** yourself!
but of course, in reality i will only say that to myself.  lol

i understand for those bounty programs that really have value in it. kyc is one way of getting rid of those cheaters.
but what we dont know is, where will our info end up to one day??? how are they going to secure that our data is protected?

Yes,i agree with you.I never join this campaign which is required kyc to received token because i heard that hacker buy/sell kyc in dark web and now kyc is also your asset like as money. You can back to your money but never back to info. Now days fraud and cheater bounty hunter join this forum so i think ad sign in message instead of key and its best for everyone.

I also support your idea KYC should stop specially in the bounty,
I know it is done to stop the bounty abuser but , as a bounty hunter we don't really know what would happen if we send our personal information to the company or the team,
What if we are supposed to do the KYC but in the end of it the project was just a scam then for sure our personal info would just be used to scam other people.

I think many don't understand the kyc thing and still think or believe it's for customers who bought tokens only but that is very  wrong. Kyc is for anyone who holds or will hold the companies token, whether through purchasing the token or bounty hunting. As far you are holding the company's equity share you are a customer
In my opinion it is very different, if the bounty hunter is required to make KYC, that is very unreasonable, because the Bounty participant will only receive a small amount of coins in return from the ICO project, unlike Investors who buy with large amounts of them. money, so KYC is needed for identification.

I think this system is more appropriate for investors or idea developers ico and is not suitable for bounty hunters, but in general this system can help reduce multi accounts but it is very unfortunate when I want to get prizes and have done procedures but I am not paid. I have felt that.

There are still some bounties which do not require kyc, like Jarvis which I am doing currently. Aside from that you can also join Bitcoin paying bounties in services section, they directly pay out without any kyc hassle.
kyc will indeed complicate many bounty participants from other perspectives, many bounty participants are not updated and eventually they also don't get paid because they are left behind for the time being, I think kyc must be taken into account from the start, not as they like developers

They need to changes the KYC pattern.  Better I think once the campaign starts or the participants join they need to pass first the KYC and once it approve they will able to join. Because in your parr you join and you earn token and you submit KYC and you failed or rejected of passing KYC so you got nothing. Better to have equal rights for the bounty hunters the team because maybe the team protect also their project. Better to comply all the requirements.

Well, changes to rules are indeed quite disappointing, especially those related to KYC. Initially, they said there was no need for KYC, but at the end of the project, they required it. But as a bounty hunter, we don't have much to do but obey it if we want to get a reward. One of our goals is to reduce cheating in multiple accounts, so I am neutral in this regard, as long as the process is uncomplicated, rewards are great, and our data is safe.

Have no big deal of kyc they just make a secure project an prevent not to abuse by cheaters and scammers.  KYC make all bounty receiver to be fair during distribution I feel secure with bounties doing KYC. If others hunters dont want kyc then theres also bounties not looking for KYC that can entered.

Although KYC can limit the fraud of multiple accounts but the reward for that bounty hunters is very low, I think projects should have a different verification method for bounty hunters instead of KYC.

I agree KYC for prevent from the cheater. and If we know the rewards is little and need KYC i think we can think twice to join the bounty campaign.

Having this issue with you is really painful but you should've read their bounty campaign terms and conditions before joining it will be stated there by the campaign manager or will just announce on the telegram. Partially agree with this but for my view on it, they are just preventing account spamming to have more stakes on one person so KYC is just for fairness to all participants.

No, most bounty campaigns don't put any information about future KYC to be implemented. They can just put it anytime or after the bounty campaign if they want and bounty hunters wouldn't able to anything about it. Reading the terms and conditions doesn't help to inform participants about KYC.
