Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o

This is very old poll. It was made before previous season when Barca sold Neymar and even Barca fans had pesimistic feelings about upcoming season.
I don't know about other people opinion, but for me La Liga is definitely not boring like Serie A or Ligue when winner is already known before new season
@slaman29 I think it's too early to write-off Coutinho. I still hope that he can start to play at least in such level as he played in 2018 when he arrived to Barca.

Ok this make sense and I see the OP is not active from long time so updating pool is impossible now. So if you leave Barca aside then rest of the teams are fighting for the 2nd position especially Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. And they are facing each others tomorrow.

Here are some observations for this match:
Source: flashscore.com

Quote
Atletí have had the best defence in LL for some time now - and that continues this season. Their unbeaten LL home record (W9, D2) will be of concern to the visitors, not to mention that they’ve also conceded the least goals in the league, both at home (four) and in total (14) - a rate of just 0.64 per LL game.

Quote
Real’s midweek draw in the cup with Barcelona (1-1), extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to six games (W5, D1), with an impressive 17 goals scored and just six conceded. Additionally, ‘Los Blancos’ have scored first in five of those six games (four in the first half).

Quote
Karim Benzema (RMD) was the first goal scorer in three of Real’s last four matches, and has six goals and an assist in his last six competitive matches. Meanwhile, Antoine Griezmann (ATL) is the dangerman for Atletí and has ten goals and seven assists in LL this season.

Quote
six of their last seven matches have finished with under 2.5 goals scored (85.71%) - and 3/7 of them under 1.5 (42.86%).

Quote
They have drawn their last four H2H encounters in LL (0-0, 1-1, 0-0, 1-1).

After analyzing the above observation I am really confused to take a side. Also I can not pick over/under goals market too. However there is a good possibility for them to make another draw. What do you guys think?

Villarreal not won in the last seven La Liga matches played away. But it should receive a match in Valladolid score, Villarreal La Liga match in the guest meat that was defeated only once. Here now you have to win for sure what it is and whether there is a question mark in the relegation villareal difficult time for them anymore.

This season Villareal is not so playing that it is in an unfavorable position on the board. I think their next match must continue to struggle to be free from the relegation zone.

Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid tomorrow. This is absolutely a big match for both side.Real Madrid is on very good phase now and will be wanted to win today at any cost.Any lose today, winning LaLiga will be impossible for Real Madrid.

OTOH, Atletico will want to win of-course because they are just 5 points behind from Barcelona. If they lose today, it will be more difficult for them to catch Barcelona.

Both team will want to win, Real Madrid would seem the better side due to their recent form but Atlético Madrid won't let their guard down either as they could risk losing their 2nd position. I expect an encounter shy of goals, a 1 - 1 draw, I guess.

It would be a very interesting match. I don't like Real Madrid's squad this season. I see that they are very static in many games and they can't get the difficult matches easy as the did before. I can predict that Atletico is going to be very aggressive in the match trying to control the tempo and take the three points

Edit in Copa match Joaquin scored a goal directly from corner kick - you must see it. Betis leading against Valencia 2:0, 30 minutes to play.

Valencia were able to come back from the 2 goals deficit to secure a draw in the match Cheryshev and Gameiro's injury time goal will see the visitors go back with a draw and 2 aways goals ahead of the 2nd leg, I'm sure they'll fancy their chances in the 2nd leg since they'll be playing at home.

I saw the Joaquin's goal from the corner, I really don't know what the keeper was doing off his line with the ball obviously approaching his goal, He really should have dealt with that easily.

Has anyone notice the pool?

FC Barcelona   - 111 (39.9%)
Real Madrid   - 139 (50%)

But looking at the point table it seems FC Barcelona is way ahead then others. I don't think in next couple match Ath. Bilbao and Valladolid are real threat for them?

Is this another boring league like Serie A?

Real madrid definitely miss the big opportunity to stay ahead of Barcelona on first leg.Barcelona was struggling last night, Suarez and Coutinho showed poor performance.I can't believe Coutinho is worth of 160M.Anyway, Barcelona will get Dembele and Messi on 2nd leg.Though, RMA have the away goal advantage now but I think 2nd leg will be more tough for them.

Barcelona did great, especially in the second half. However, they were still missing the shots and the shots on target in order to score a goal.

I was very impressed with Vinicious performance. I think that this guy has great potential to be one of the top players worldwide in the future. And he is in a team that he can work hard for it.

I think it is Barcelona who missed the big chance, because now they have to travel to Madrid and get all the pressure there. Then again, they didn't exactly have problems beating Real Madrid at their own home, so I guess they're not worried.

Coutinho must so regret being in Barcelona now, but I guess Chelsea don't mind paying for him? Messi will be fully fit for Round 2, so watch out Madrid!

Barcelona 1 - 1 Real Madrid

Great match, El Clasico never dissapoints. I feel like the game could've gone either way, we dominated the first half, even though Barca had some clear chances, and then Barcelona dominated the 2nd half. Llorente was a bit underwhelming in the midfield, and Marcelo had such a terrible night that he made Malcom look like a world class player.

Btw, what a terrible mistake from Ramos in the 1-1, he completely let the ball go right into the net  Huh

This was indeed a very competitive match honestly, was not expecting Real Madrid to offer any challenge to Barcelona. I’m surprised Bale didn’t start he missed an excellent shot to wrap it up for Madrid, Couthino was awful it’s only a matter of time before he’s sold. I wonder had Messi started would he been the difference, as Barcelona was clearly missing him on the pitch.

Valverde tonight decided not to risk too much and let Messi to play only for 30 minutes.
Poor choice from Valverde, Marcelo was getting bodied by Malcom who was easily Barcelona's best player, would've been better to fully rest Messi and keep Malcom on the pitch.

while Coutinho had another average performance.
You're being too nice...He was awful, he's been like this for quite a long time now, what a flop.

BTW, does anyone knows why Dembele wasn't in squad list because I missed news about him.
He's been sick over the past few days with fever.

Yeah, it was good match to watch and 1:1 is probably best result for such game. Valverde tonight decided not to risk too much and let Messi to play only for 30 minutes. But tonight Malcom had great match, while Coutinho had another average performance. It's also great to see that Alena got chance to play in Clasico. BTW, does anyone knows why Dembele wasn't in squad list because I missed news about him.
Now Real have avay goal advantage, and second leg game  will be played after 3 weeks. It will be even more interesting  and hot game

Risking Messi for the Entire match would have been unreasonable, considering he claimed he was still in discomfort, but I'm glad Barça were able to secure a draw, I look forward to second leg of the fixture, hopefully we can pull another away win at the Santiago Bernabue.

Barca vs Real in the Cup tonight - Wow, what a game this should be. The league form goes out of the window in a cup game so this could literally go either way.

Real Madrid and Manchester united, both teams started the season horribly and look where they are now. With their 4th win in a row and getting 2 points behind atl.madrid they are once again at second position possibility, being the second team when the season ends is not that bad in la Liga since Barcelona and Madrid always share the top 2 spot and doesn't matter how bad they started as long as they finish at top 2 table.

Next week they will play against each other and I doubt real Madrid will let this one go, if atl.madrid wins the difference will be 5 and if its a tie the difference stays but if real wins they will be at top 2 once again which is something they always want. I can see real getting this one no matter what, I am going to try to bet a decent amount on them for this week.

Real always plays to win La Liga, it will not be happy with the second place but for this year there is not much they can do as Barcelona is far ahead. In La Liga Barcelona and Real always are the main rivals but in these late years the team which make less errors wins La Liga so Real cannot go past second place in their best effort.
