La Liga current standings still manage by Girona behind one point remaining from Real Madrid have one match more, its very interested fighting for La Liga tittle race for this season usually have Barcelona and Atletico behind Real Madrid but in this season Girona not favorable team have solid performance for winning La Liga trophy.

Yes that's right. Feran Torres was outstanding in that game but there was someone better in my opinion, Lamine Yamal, he was constantly pressing and he also had excellent ball control. Although Barcelona winning this match was difficult and even worrying, as you said, in this match the most obvious change was Xavi's decision to make a substitution.

Xavi suddenly made a big decision because he was under pressure. Frankly I like his decision making, this is the change we want to see and the courage to get rid of anyone who underperforms, like Lewandowski, and it shows. Well Girona are having their dream campaign and they’re staying on same point with Real  Madrid who’re bigger and better. This season Girona has been exceptional and have not probably had any bad game except from the match against Real Madrid but I must applaud their efforts this season, they've performed very brilliantly.

 Real Madrid are an excellent team and knows and have what it takes to be league leaders though Girona seems to be stubborn but I think Real Madrid will nail the final one when they face Girona at the Santiago. In this Match, I think Real Madrid will be the better team here and will use this match to stay clear off Girona. Real Madrid have better chance of winnowing the league because of their squad depth and experience and I think they’ll activate win this league because they stand a better chance than Girona.

Girona's incredible performance in La Liga this season has started to change the minds of football lovers. It is truly commendable that Girona's great performances and hard work have overtaken skilled and powerful clubs to occupy the top spot in the La Liga points table. But in my opinion, there is some doubt whether Girona will be able to keep the number one position in the La Liga points table. Because Girona is not a mature team. So far although Girona is at the top of the La Liga points table with good consistency still I think it will definitely never be easy for Girona to win the title this season.

I'm impressed by the style and play making of Girona but the more my brain want to think that this guys are special, the less I want to accept that because there is no modifications in their players nor much signing like that, they bought and signed 2 and the rest were either returning players of loan or the ones they bought and they have come far this big to be tormenting the Laliga with all kind of touches. I can't believe they beat Sevilla with 5 goals but it's what it's, I still think they are having a lot of hype and it's helping them boost their moral but soon, it will clear off.


I don't think you are in position to say that though, no team comes to a tournament to relax and I don't think Girona will be happyto floating on the top 4, they definitely have aim and it's to finish the league as the top team so as to win the Laliga title. If not for that, there style of game would have change by now. It doesn't even make sense to say such because winning title is giving more ranks and names to their club.

Although currently Girona is in first place in La Liga and Real Madrid is in second place with a difference of one point. However, like yours, my prediction is that the favorite to win La Liga this season is Real Madrid.

Seeing Girona now reminds me of Real Sociedad, this is very similar to Real Sociedad in the 2002/2003 season, they were very difficult to beat but Real Madrid were still champions at the end of the season with a difference of two points. at that time and then Real Sociedad stars Nihat, Kahveci and Kovacevic. The same thing could happen to Girona this season, they are very difficult to beat, they even managed to beat big teams like Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and most recently Sevilla. The interesting fact is, they are not only consistent in LaLiga but also in the Copa del Rel.

Dovbyk is quite good at finding space and he is also very good at utilising his tall body so that he can comfortably score goals both through his feet and head and maybe this season is a brilliant season for him because Dovbyk's 20 appearances he scored 14 goals that was very good for him and hopefully he won't just be a one-season hype because indeed with the potential he currently has I am quite sure that at the end of the season there will be several big clubs looking at this player in the end.

On the other hand somehow this season the Girona players really stole everyone's attention. Not only with the pattern of attacks carried out, but with the performance of individual players who look more loose in playing making them truly unstoppable. Because seeing from the current conditions, we can actually know that not only Dovbyk is stunning but some players like Savio and Yan Couto also deserve appreciation because of their movements which I think are quite good.

For me, Girona's advantage is not having matches with a busy schedule. Girona only participates in two competitions, namely La Liga and Capa del Rey. moreover, Michel's main focus is currently on La Liga. Naturally, they are currently at the top of the La Liga standings, even if only temporarily. therefore, Michel will not waste their opportunity to maintain their performance by continuing to play well on the right track. Just looking at the game, it was clear that the chance for a comeback was there but it takes time and it happened in this match even though Carvajal had to wait until extra time there.
My bets this week were quite emotionally draining as I was on multiple Barcelona, Madrid and Girona but looking at the three matches only Girona made me satisfied but for Barcelona and Madrid it really made my heart uncomfortable having to wait until the game was over to see their victory.

Speaking of Girona at the moment they are really unstoppable again. Their mistake of being held to a draw with Almeria in the previous week didn't show in this week's game as they went absolutely crazy against Sevilla.
Sevilla are still the same club, their midfield in attack is actually still quite good and the flow of the ball is still quite maintained, it's just that poor finishing makes them a little frustrating coupled with weak defense really makes me unable to think further whether they can finish this season safely in La Liga or instead they will go to the second caste next season.

Real Madrid still remains the favorite to win the La Liga because they have the coach, players and influence. I will like to discuss about their influence using the match against Almería as my case study. Real Madrid was highly favoured by the match officials in all angles. Almería scored a goal that was disallowed because of a scramble between two players that was not even a foul offence. The official just used that little event as an excuse to cancel a clean goal. I also suspect that the extra time was too much because it was arranged to give Real more time to win the game. Almeria coach Gaizka Garitano was sent off because he protested which is not proper. And Almería players also complained of not getting equal treatment with their opponents on the pitch. I just feel that the officials did everything to make Real Madrid win the game at home.

I just hope Girona will continue with this performance and gain more gap between them and Madrid this is because they might be robbed of the title if the gap is small. From the experience of yesterday's game, I don't want Real to win La Liga, Girona is now my favourite to win the Spanish league.
