To be honest, I would love to see Girona become champions. But this doesn't seem like something that could happen to me. The points they lost in recent weeks were a big disadvantage for them.
They played very well against Sevilla and showed once again how much they wanted the championship. But we have a lot of time before the end of the league, Real Madrid is in a very good form and they continue on their way without losing any points in the last weeks.
I wonder how many more weeks a team like Girona can continue with this performance

Girona played really well. And I think they have actually surprised everybody. Not that nobody thought they would win the match, but probably not many people thought that they were going to win with such big of a difference. Even though if they have the same points as Real Madrid, the goal difference is going to be better for Real Madrid. But still, we have to appreciate the performance that they have given in the last match. And remember that Sevilla actually broke the deadlock. Then right after that, it was an incredible performance from Girona and Dovbyk.

That right and Atletico Madrid has proven enough that there is place where Atletico Madrid is able to be superior to Real Madrid, which is the king of La Liga and the most successful team in the UCL.

Girona right now is leading the top standings with 52 points and the second place for Real Madrid with 51 points but with one match late, which is giving them more advantage. On the rest of standings, third place belongs to Barcelona with only 44 points and waiting their 21st match. I believe it’s time for the white house to take more advantage in order to secure LaLiga Title without worrying too much about it and also focusing well about UCL and other important titles.

Indeed it was a brilliant play by Girona, actually Girona has been one of the club I respect so much on this season because there consistency is nothing like before, they have been on there best performance right from the beginning of the season and by wining so many clubs we never imagine they could win, honestly there performance this season is really something to write home about because in several occasions they drop down from there first position but always still manages to regain back there fist position on the table.

So actually you are right there wining against Sevilla was a deserving win for them, however they never gave Sevilla a breathing space on that match and they were able to dominate the match from the beginning of the match to the end of the match by giving Sevilla 5-1, perhaps the wining has also giving them another good edge over real Madrid on there league table.

Girona still has many matches to go through as well as Real Madrid. Yes, in the first half Madrid couldn't score a goal against Almeria and the team coached by Gaizka Garitano was really great, they could overwhelm the strong Real Madrid team, they couldn't score a goal in the first half, while in the first half Almeria was ahead because they had scored 2 goals. but in the 2nd half Bellingham was really great and scored a goal with his penalty kick and opened up the enthusiasm for the Madrid players and in the 2nd half Madrid were really lucky and finally were able to get agoal back and ended up winning for Real Madrid and fortunately Madrid were not embarrassed in this match because if Madrid lose, they will definitely be embarrassed because they are facing the lowest ranked team in Laliga. Can’t we just conclude that this team, Girona is so good and winning the La Liga this season shouldn’t bull by luck for them but a deserving one for them. Just look how they played and won Sevilla with a four goals difference, they are indeed ready for the fight of the title winner this season. How they play, organised themselves in the league is so exceptional and they don’t fail to give the best result in order to maintain their stand in the league. I must say this should be the best season Girona would have ever played for a long time now. Sevilla on the other hand keep producing poor results, they shouldn’t wait until when they have no power left and then relegate from the La Liga which won’t be nice to see it happen after winning the Europa League just last season.

Lamine Yamal started to play a very interesting game in the match against Real Betis, he played quite impressively by making many movements to penetrate the home team's defense line. I hope Lamine Yamal will maintain his consistency and become more established in his game, in the matches he will play. on the contrary, this match was a special match for Ferran Torres who became Barcelona's hero in this match. Torres was able to create a hat-trick, even though he actually scored several goals easily, aka Tap In. however, it is clear that his contribution was huge to Barcelona's victory. in particular, the final goal he created for Barcelona's victory. I personally want to highlight Sevilla's condition this season, which is experiencing a very bad season. Sevilla's current coach, Quique Sanchez Flores, doesn't seem to be able to change the negative trend that Sevilla currently has. It was a deserving win for girona , their performance all through the game was brilliant although at some point Sevilla tried to get some balance but then Girona was still the better side, they had a better possession of the ball and even made more attempts than Sevilla did.

Girona was able to convert their attempts to several goals which personally I didn't expect that the victory will come with such goal margin. It's very obvious if given a chance Girona may end up with the la Liga title this season, they are now one points ahead of their very immediately counterpart Real Madrid and in the past week this has been the trend whereby they both alternate position in-between the top and second on the table, if Real Madrid continues like this and not able to give Girona a good distance away they can be sure to lose the la Liga title to Girona by the end of the season.

In the last 5 matches, Sevilla was only able to achieve 1 win and overall they were only able to win 3 matches this season. Sevilla must immediately think about the best decision for the team in order to stay in Laliga next season. There is no doubt that Sanchez Flores is a quite experienced coach, but this season it seems he is really having difficulty bringing change to Sevilla. The decline in player performance is the main thing that is making them not perform well this season.

Sanchez Flores may not be the right person to blame for the bad results received by Sevilla because he was appointed as Sevilla coach in December and maybe Sanchez needs time to make improvements in Sevilla performance. As the king of the European League, of course what happened to Sevilla is a big question mark, whether this was a big blunder when management made the surprising decision to fire Meldilibar. Even though Meldilibar had great services when he succeeded in helping Sevilla become champions of the European League last season. Actually, Sevilla also brought in several good players in this winter window and we hope they can help Sevilla to get out of a series of defeats in the last 4 matches.

It's too bad that Girona lost points in the match with Almeria, Real Madrid have a game in hand and I'm almost sure that they will use it to get ahead of Girona. Athletic Bilbao lost and now it is likely that Atletico will be able to move them to fifth position in the table, since they have two games in hand and only 3 points separate the teams.

It's a shame that until now Almeria still hasn't won a match in Laliga and now Almeria only has 6 points and its rival Granada, which is ranked 19th, has already pocketed 11 points. I think it is now very difficult for Almeria to compete with Granada because the point difference is so big.

Real Madrid shouldn't have won that game yesterday. It wasn't a good win they went through the corners and VAR allowed it! Barcelona I didn't see the vame they played but made me excited by winning. Too much pressure on Xavi Hernandez.

Both the matches Real vs Almeria and Girona vs Sevilla started very unpredictably... But Girona quickly managed to score three goals and within 20 minutes of the first half the score was 3-1... To be honest I was surprised that bookmakers gave odds of 1.8 for Girona to win... Those who took advantage of this bet had no problem making money...

It was unbelievable the way Girona came back against Sevilla.    Sevilla must have been really regretful for scoring the goal to get ahead. Because in a very short time we watched an amazing answer by Dovbyk. I should say answers actually because he made a hat-trick in only six minutes.    He is really on fire this season sharing the lead in top scorers with Bellingham.

Girona simply demolished Sevilla by scoring 5 goals. I was feeling Girona would win but this was much more than I felt. Sevilla really had no power left to defend their opponent and like I said before I don't know how they will manage to save themselves from this situation before relegating.
