This is Girona second season in La Liga after a long time in the 2018 season. Just look at last season, they were able to finish in 10th position. So it is not surprising that this season they have managed to improve their performance again and have been consistent in the 11 matches they have played, only losing once to Madrid. Girona cannot be underestimated by any club. The point productivity alone shows Girona's seriousness.

Or do you think they would let Rodrygo sit on the bench and play two semi-center forwards with Vinicius Junior and Mbappe and Bellingham keeps the mixed position of offensive midfielder + defensive center forward?

I don't know what the best solution would be, but right now this game seems to get the most out of Bellingham as he has the freedom to transition into the center forward position whenever he thinks the moment allows for it or even requires him to do it. If he had one player right in front of him, it may cut down on the scope of possibilities he now has and he now also perfectly exploits.

This season's journey is still very long and we don't yet know which team can maintain its consistency. Real Madrid is currently having good performance but Ancelotti's team still has many shortcomings so I also think that they will not be comfortable at the top of the standings.
While Girona are still amazing, we will never know how far they will surprise this season.

If Atletico Madrid win it, there will be three clubs with same 28 points totally.

Girona, if we look deeper, don't have too good defense compares to Real Madrid. They got 13 conceded goals so far but their attacking power is amazing. They have 25 goals and is a most goal productive in top five of La Liga, even more than Real Madrid.

Girona is a small club and nobody considered them as an underdog in La Liga before the season started. So far they got massive success and without pressure, they will start a match with Real Madrid with lot of optimistic. It will bring challenge to Real Madrid but if Girona players begin it too naively, Real Madrid and their coach are experienced enough to exploit Girona naive tactic and take three points.

Looking at the contribution Lewandowski is making right now I think even if it does affect the attacking line but in the end they can still prioritize the speed of the players on their flanks.
Currently, Raphinha is already in the squad besides Joao Felix who can be maximized on the left wing.
The problem with Lewandowski's absence is that this will indirectly hamper the formation for pure strikers because Barcelona no longer has a pure striker and will likely feature 2 strikers where Joao and Ferran are used as alternatives or maximize Ferran as a striker in the middle flanked by Raphinha / Yamal with Joao on both sides.

Barcelona will still win against Real Sociedad because even from there possibility of win, Barcelona have a better chance of winning. And Xavi will putting all attacking force to win. It will be a very big change in career of Jude Bellingham if he is officially used as a forward.
