It was the right decision to continue and extend his career contract at Real Madrid, Rodrygo had a good opportunity at Real Madrid in his career, he also collected quite a lot of goals on average compared to the matches he played.
Even though Rodrygo has competition with Vinisius Junior, they support each other, it is a good emotional relationship within the team, I think if Rodrygo has more flying hours he will have significant improvement and become one of Real Madrid's hopeful stars in the future.
Economically it also makes sense that Madrid needs to keep Rodrygo because if the transfer is free it will be detrimental to themselves.

I can not predict the possible outcome of the present La Liga Champions, we're still watching. I'm finding it interesting to watch La Liga games, because every clubs are competing with their best performance, there's strong challenge among teams. Real Madrid is sitting top of the La Liga table with 28 points, the exact same point with Girona. I don not consider the stats or possibility of Girona surpassing Los Blancos on the table, Girona won't survived among big teams, they just have this morale to boost at the moment, but lacking the consistent qualities to compete in the long race for long-term.

It's too early to talk about who will win La Liga this season. Real Madrid may be the leaders, but there are still a lot of games left in the season and it's still a long way to go.
Girona is a club that is unexpectedly in the ranks of clubs that are used to being there, I don't know if they will be that consistent to be a contender for the big clubs. There is usually a drop off as the season draws to a close and that could very well be the case for Girona this season. We have a long way to go to see who will be consistent.

There is no team who compeletely safe in the top 4 because the difference points between Girona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona is not too far so if some of them losing points from upcoming matches then the position on standings league will be changes and Barcelona also had good chances to overtake Madrid or Girona position because they had 4 difference points below to Real Madrid and everything still possible to happend because Laliga still entering week 11
