Honestly, Atletico Madrid is consistent recently, and I will not even be surprised if I see them topping the La Liga table, as Barcelona and Real Madrid are not consistent recently. Before, I thought that Atletico Madrid might not have a chance to move to second or first position, but the way Real Madrid and Barcelona are losing points lately could give Atletico Madrid the opportunity to move to the top of the table.

This season Atletico Madrid has been in prolific form more than every other season, they have been doing so great in all competition, yes their regular league position has always been 3rd on the league table but looking at their current form this season I won't be surprised if they win the league because they are becoming more consistent in winning matches than Barcelona and Real Madrid and I think they deserve to be in the second place right now cause they are doing well. With their current performance in the league they will definitely top the league be when that happens they may be winning the league again as a result of their great signing and good game play.

I was unable to watch the game today due to the activity that i engaged myself in. However, I was consistent in checking the live scores of the game since they were the only club left to give me my win. The first half of the game was really frustrating, and the reason is because there were lots of chances mixed in the game which Atletico would have converted to be a goal.

At last, they won the game with a narrow win. The coach was really excited due to the luck they had from their opponent not scoring their own opportunity. I do tell people that football is not about who has the highest statistics in terms of bass passes, possession of the ball in their opponents 18 or in the field entirely or the number of chances created. It is all about chances converted, it could be one chance they have but they scored with it.

Mallorca won 2-1 against out of form Girona. Both teams are in the fight for the top 6, but with this win Mallorca is now 5 points ahead of their opponents. Girona were more dominant than their opponent but failed to take any points from this trip.

They are missing a lot of opportunities to advance in the first spot and I don't feel that confident they could be in the top before the break. I don't know if they will try to consolidate the team even temporarily because it is very dysfunctional at this point!
