This season Barcelona has been amazing as a team and individually.
I didn't really expect them to be that strong in La Liga while in Europe they were too weak, but I do know that the intensity of playing in European competitions is very intense. But I hope Xavi has a better way to put Barcelona in contention in the Champions League better than this season.

Their defeat this week made them have to be displaced by Atletico Madrid who managed to win the match. Fatigue and loss of focus are affecting some good teams all over Europe. We are seeing once outstanding teams like Arsenal and Napoli losing the tempo and losing important games recently. Napoli's was just fortunate to utilize their prime time to acquire points that sustained them to grab the title. The Yellow Submarines outclassed Real Betis but they were just not lucky. They had up to two disallowed goals because of very close offside decisions. And the blunder by goalkeeper Reina caused their downfall in that game, the outcome of this game is disappointing. Villarreal needs more than eight points to take over Real Sociedad champions league slot which is hard to achieve. But the race is still on until the end of the season. Real Betis have had a fairly impressive season and they still have the opportunity to surpass last season's position and at least grab a Europa League position.

Real madrid have been this way in  their performance for sometime,  games that is expected for them to win sometimes ends  up to be poor results.  Real Madrid with this performance makes me doubt if they can resist the force of Manchester City in Champions league,  Manchester city is a team of heavy force .

It would be important for the strongest to go really and not the luckiest, in my opinion.

Maybe the presence of Real Sociedad, which is now in 4th place in the standings, makes them very safe and will certainly be very happy if they manage to maintain their current position as capital to compete in the champions league next season. We know that the 3 teams above have been regulars for the champions league since 10 years ago and maybe this time Real Sociedad will be a differentiator, where Sevilla or Valencia are usually currently filling their positions. Real Sociedad must ensure their victory through the remaining matches of this season so that no other team under them will disturb them.

If Villarreal, whose position is closer to Real Sociedad but may lose their chance to finish in the top four, then what about Betis, whose position is actually under Villarreal.
