I think this is a momentum for them to maintain their top position until the end of the season with a stable record of collecting 3 points because no matter what, their distance from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona can still be caught up, and one more thing to realize this target is that Madrid defense line still needs to be improved.

With or without the red card, Real Madrid would have still won the match clean and without much stress. At this point that Barcelona drew with Getafe and Athletico Madrid losing CD Leganés, Real Madrid have no choice than to win to be able to climb to the top of the league. With this clear win, Real Madrid are back to the top of the league with two points ahead of Athletico Madrid and seven points ahead of Barcelona. This shows that the league is already beginning to have a direction and it will take just a miracle for Barcelona to catch up with Madrid.

Wow, so Atletico lost at Leganes? This was a bit of a shock for me, 1.52 favorite, and then Barcelona managed only a draw at 1.45.
So glad I stayed out of this round in all leagues, seems like result after result of surprises from the favorites.
As for Real, I mean common, it was Las Palmas , if anyone was thinking that because they got trashed by Barcelona they would lose to Las Palmas at home you need to step gambling as that would be only emotion driven stuff, out of touch with reality.

Yesterday wasn't a lucky day for Barcelona because their many chances weren't converted to goal. The lost their chance to gap Athletico who lost to Leganes. Madrid on the other hand made good use of their experience and professionalism to defeat Las Palmas who started the game with a 0-1 win just 1' to the start of the game.

It was a fulfilled outing for Madrid as they took good advantage of their chances 4 goals against 1 which shows strong dominance and superiorty. Madrid might want to fight hard to maintain this top position till the end of season as they claim their trophy at the end of the season if they can maintain this till the end.

I really liked them in this game. This is the Real Madrid I want to see regularly. Competitive and hungry for more goals.

But they need to show us that they have fixed their defensive problems first. Las Palmas is an easy opponent. This wouldn't prove things are better now as a result. We need to see them in next games as well.

If we compare it with ATM and Barcelona yesterday, it is indeed very different because playing away sometimes gives a little problem to the mentality of the players. So ATM defeat and Barcelona draw make more sense. And I have decided to bet on Madrid over 2.5 in this match. I am sure Madrid can score at least 3 goals.
