I wasn't really happy with Atletico Madrid yesterday but I know it was just one of those unlucky days for the Atletico's side because I can't still see the reason why Atletico lost that match yesterday despite that they were leading the table and are aware of the slim chances they had against the Real Madrid club. Atletico had far more corner chances than the Leganes side, got more possessions, shots and shots on target but none of these opportunities was translated into a goal in the end. I know it was their unlucky day but they can still do better in their subsequent matches.

Still, there is not much of a difference in points between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid at the moment, there is only a 2 point difference between them.

I think almost everyone predicted that this match would end like this. In a week where both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona lost points, Real Madrid was going to play all their cards against a weak team like Las Palmas, and they did. And the result was not surprising at all, they won by four goals. Moreover, Las Palmas had a very difficult time after receiving a red card. They had to resist in order not to concede more goals. It was a nice victory and an enjoyable weekend for Real Madrid. They can be happy now because they are at the top of the league.

Everyone blames Barcelona for missing this chance, but they have been playing many games in a row, a game at 4th, a game at 8th, a game at 12th, a game at 15th, and now a game at 18th. Playing literally 5 games in 14 days, that's a lot of games and of course players get tired after a while, they didn't get any rest in the middle at all and Barcelona didn't really wasted any of those games by putting up young players or bench players etc, they actually played their best players in all of them as much as they can, which tires them out completely.

This is why this game ended in draw, because they did not play with full power and were tired. Not like their future is great neither, they don't have 7 games without a game for a long long time, so they may get worse too.
