They failed to extend their lead even further. They created a lot of opportunities in the first but the second half was very poor for them and Griezmann even missed a penalty. It's one of those days that is just not your day. Even towards the last minute of the game, they missed some chances that they should have ordinarily scored.
Creditas to Leganes too. They defended very well and even had opportunities to make it 2-0 but they failed.

Not Atletico has to hope for both Real Madrid and Barcelona to drop points so they can maintain their 5 and 6-point lead at the top but it's going to be difficult for both teams to drop points. Barcelona has the more difficult fixture later tonight against Getafe. A team they have not scored away from home, talk more of winning since 2019. The first leag Barcelona won by 1-0 so let's see how the second leg would be. Getafe is a very organized and physical team in defense.

I am a little bit in disbelief that Atletico Madrid had to suffer defeat at the hands of the bottom team in the standings, I think Atletico Madrid bad attack is repeated again. This result is a big loss for them because automatically the top position will definitely be taken over by Real Madrid this week.

Man, the game was so boring honestly. I don't know why Atletico Madrid were so incapable of finishing despite all those shots. 2.52 xG but 0 goal at the end...

I saw Griezmann's penalty and I was as shocked as him too. It happens but I can't imagine how many people's bets lost after that. If he scored I think they could have come back from that score.

Atletico Madrid handed over the lead to Real Madrid in other terms.

Real Madrid are playing against Las Palmas home tomorrow. I think they will maintain the winning streak despite the defensive problems existing recently.

And the way athletico Madrid is seriously trying all they could to win the la liga because point is the most important thing and they can not afford to be losing any game now the difference is clear that the winner in this game is very on certain and the game and game between them and leganes is looking as if they will lose the game And both first half and second are been dominant during the whole and athletico Madrid are finding it very hard to score and am not sure they will be able to score in this game because the game is almost over. Atlético Madrid spot at the top are going to be ended as after 75 minutes of game they are still trailing by 1–0 50th minute goal from Nastasic is still giving lead to Leganes which is looking for coming out of danger zone to comfortable zone after having this stunning game against Atlético Madrid at home.

A surprise because Leganes were able to create an early goal that made Atletico Madrid fall behind. They did not have much time and immediately to be able to reply, it was also not easy because Leganes would also try hard to be able to maintain the advantage they currently have. The gap between the top 3 teams in La Liga is not that big. If any of them loses even one match, they can lose the top spot. There is only 1 point gap between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. If either team loses even one match, they will definitely be eliminated from the top spot. Later, that team will have to fight for second place with Barcelona if Barcelona can win consistently.
