Considering Real Madrid's recent results, I personally don't believe Madrid will get the full points here against Villarreal. Real madrid received a threat from Sevilla, after they won against Elche, and reduced their point difference to 3. Real Madrid themselves still have to play this week against Villarreal who are now in 6th place. This is definitely not an easy opponent for Real Madrid, Villarreal won their last 2 matches and became a good capital against Real Madrid.
Real Madrid must be careful, because the threat is really right in front of them.

Yes, there is a change in the order of the things this season, who would have thought that at the beginning of the season that at this stage the top two teams will be Real Madrid and Sevilla, it's absolutely crazy but interesting to say the least. Sevilla are pretty close to Madrid as three points separate them, with Madrid having played a game less, but I don't think it's possible for Sevilla to win the league, they'll finish in second place I think which will be a very good achievement for them. Having said that, Barcelona have improved of late, and they are back in the top four, it's very important for them cause if they want to climb their way back to the top of world football then they need to continue playing CL football, that way they'll allure quality players to the team and continue their rebuilding process.

The rest will always be around, but I don't see any promotion in ranking. It's probably something they never in their wildest dreams that Sevilla has a chance in LaLiga.

Sevilla may be just 3 points behind, but they have played one match more than Real Madrid. So mathematically they are still about 6 points behind Real Madrid. I think the Real Madrid team is more stable than Sevilla. They may have lost points because Benzema was not in the squad. But in the coming matches they will play more carefully, and move towards winning the title.

I do not think Barcelona are a mediocre team yet, that had a financial crisis that made that loose some important players and they fought hard even in hard times and presently they are trying to recover and we can see some improvements already, hopefully with time things will get better for them with the new players they have brought in. Xavi is good because he took charge of a team that lost hope and he has put some work and sacrifice in which is paying off bit by bit. Barcelona can yet compete against the likes of Bayern Munich or Manchester city but with time I believe they can.

I don't think Barcelona deserve to be called a strong team this season based on their statistics. Barcelona are weak and have dropped more points in important match this season although some of their new signings could have a positive impact on their form in recent match. Yesterday I saw they had a very good performance vs Atletico Madrid but that doesn't guarantee they can achieve the same performance vs other teams in the next match.

I'm happy with Barcelona today because they made it to the top 4 with an unstable team and players. It would not be strange to say that Xavi has managed to make Barcelona better since his arrival although he has to admit that things are not going to go as smoothly as he would like. For the next Barcelona match I think Espanyol is not an easy opponent, it is a derby which is always difficult for both teams but I started to put my trust in Barcelona to get a bigger winning percentage than before.

Xavi was initially difficult to unify the game from Barca. but gradually now they look better. I'm sure they will still be hunting for new players to complete the team. Xavi is concocting the right players for Barca's main squad.

@Dewi Aries a 3 point or a 6 point is not a huge lead considering so many fixtures yet remain, so for me the title race is yet open between these two sides. Lastly while I do favour Real Madrid to win, but if they let their guard down then it’s clear that Sevilla might just seize the opportunity and beat them for the title.
