I agree that this is still not a bad score for Barcelona. But they should be unhappy about not being able to benefit from Sevilla's playing with ten players for around half an hour. Sevilla resisted them very well which deserves to be appreciated much. Sevilla wasted a big opportunity to decrease the point difference with Real Madrid to 3 too but it is still 5 now. As long as they fight till the end, they could have a chance for the lead.

To be honest, watching Sevilla's game against Barcelona today, I think they are not a team to compete for the title. It was Sevilla's home match. The Barcelona team, on the other hand, is fighting to get back on track. Sevilla should have done better against Barcelona in this situation.
I am also unsatisfied with Sevilla game, not with the result. 1-1 wasn't a too bad result, but watching how Sevilla players played today is very disappointing. I don't know what strategy was applied by Sevilla coach, most players played under perfromance. If they cannot change their game in the next match, I doubt Sevilla to lose again many points. Especially playing at home, ideally Sevilla players must play more confidently.Sevilla will not be able to close the points gap with Real Madrid this season. As the days go by their points distance from Real Madrid will continue to increase. Sevilla's performance in the last few matches did not look good to me. The players have lost form. The players of their attacking lineup also performed poorly against Atletico Madrid. Although they won, but they do only 6 shots.
The first half was in control of Barcelona even though they conceded first. And it seems like Sevilla have made a better start to the second half now. It is good to see them being very eager to win also finally. This can make the game even more competitive now. But I don't think that Barcelona will be losing this game. The Catalans deserve to win, it was a draw, but we can already see Xavi working with the team, so I see more positive outcomes. If Barca had all their players we would have beaten them by a wide margin. Currently, they need a striker and a defender, so hopefully they can find them when the transfer window opens.

Under Xavi so far with just six games to his name, Barcelona have lost just once. Barcelona played some really impressive football against Sevilla, regardless of the facts that they were away from home, i feel they should have gotten all three points if they had not just been unlucky.
Dembele too is coming good gradually under Xavi. I only wish he could remain injury free and fit to some real football like he did yesterday.
Without the injury troubles Dembele is a phenomenal player and he showed to all today the reason why Barcelona should extend his contract. if Xavi plays him and Ansu on the flanks, with a few addition to the team upfront in attack and in defence when the transfer window opens, Barcelona will be Barcelona again without Messi.
