Benzema sacrificed a lot when he had to give up his opportunities to score goals to Ronaldo and had to contribute more for general operation of Real Madrid tactics. He only got a role as a main striker since Ronaldo departure to Juventus. Then the rest we all know, Benzema became a main source of goals in Bernabeu and he got the captain band as well. Results are enough to be safe at the top of the temporary class. Benzema is so outstanding with his current age he is still a mainstay of Madrid.
