Messi is one of the most professional football players in the world. Leaving Barcelona was a different situation, maybe he could retire there. I'm sure he'll want to come back too. We will see what he will do

I am 100% sure that Messi will return to Barcelona, but the question is what his function will be by then? He could probably become president whenever he wants. Or manager or whatever else there is.

The situation where Messi leaves PSG already next year would probably arise when Mbappe leaves, and even Neymar leaves for another club. I doubt that Messi would stay then. On the other hand there are so many things that can happen next year. It is also the World Cup year. I expect Messi to take his time regarding the option to extend his contract with PSG, but well, the World Cup is in Winter so he has to make his decision before that. It is going to be a weird soccer year for all of us anyway.

Did you hear what Riquelme said about Messi? He said he thinks Messi will return to Barcelona next year. After winning the champions league this year with Mbappe and Neymar, he will return home next year and retire in Barcelona Smiley
If Messi thinks he is a professional player, he must stay in PSG until his contract ended. So, I assume Messi won't consider coming back to Barcelona next year. Talking about UCL, there is no guarantee that PSG will win UCL this season. It is strange to see Riquelme's statement, how can he become too confident saying "after winning UCL title this year". No one knows which team to win the UCL title this year. Anyway, where do you get this information? Can you share the source link here?
I don't see any point in bringing Messi back to Barcelona. Firstly, in any case, Messi will have at least one more year of his contract left, and I don't think that a professional like Messi, who has spent his career at the same club, will try to change the team at the end of just one season, even after winning the Champions League. Barcelona is in the process of rebuilding the squad and is now trying to get rid of the dependence of the team game on Messi and there is no point in rebuilding the game again if the game is successfully rebuilt. Unfortunately, I think that it was a transfer from Barcelona with a one-way ticket and a return is possible only after the end of Messi's playing career, when the Argentine either takes an official post in the club's structure, or takes up a coaching career like Zidane.

Why does Koeman want more Dutch players to join his current team? I saw the same thing when Luis Van Gaal coached Manchester United. Barcelona have signed at least 2 Dutch players this season (Depay & Luuk De Jong). Don't know why he wants more players of the same nationality as him at Barcelona. I feel strange about Barcelona's decision and Koeman's desire so far to have a lot of Dutch players in Barcelona.

frankly speaking barcelona is in need of getting a new messi, if they could get Mbappe quality players they would be fine or if they could bring neymar back it would be a good option, but barcelona is a strange club that lately makes strange decisions to the point of selling good players and buying bad players, something very strange, so I'm not surprised what Koeman is doing, it's something that has become normal for barcelona to make strange contracts or that people question if they were good or not, I don't see Koeman being a good choice for barcelona, if barcelona had hired zidane they would have made a good choice

Atletico Madrid should be able to win their next league match which is against Espanyol away. Espanyol are the last champions in the La Liga 2. But they don't seem to be very effective about scoring so far. They couldn't score any goal in first three matches so far but conceded only one goal also. Atletico Madrid might have difficulty in breaking their defense in the first half. But they will make it in the second half I believe. And as Griezmann has joined the team also, they should be stronger on attacking now.

No need to be surprised if there are coaches who buy a lot of players according to their country, this is indeed done by several coaches. Apart from
Koeman and Val Gaal, there is Nuno Espirito Santo who bought a lot of Portuguese players when he was coach of Wolves. If we look at when Wenger
was still Arsenal coach, he bought quite a lot of French players. Maybe some coaches do that, because they are easier to communicate and give
instructions to players who have the same language. Or it could be that some of these coaches have a lot of information regarding players who are
from the same country as the coach, so more confident in the abilities of the players he bought.

I could count at least 20-30 players who would be considered a star, probably more according to some people, but how many of them ever reached the level Messi has reached?
No, it's just because Messi is a player with a unique talent. There will not be many players who can match the achievements and skills possessed by Messi. His soccer skills are limited edition according to. One can come close to Ronaldo's skills if they want to train harder, but no one can come close to Messi's. I think we were all lucky to be able to enjoy two of the best players in the history of football in the same era, but now they are almost retiring because of their old age. Just a few years from now, football will lose the best talent of two of the best players in its history.

I don't think it is that unusual that coaches of a certain nationality also like to have players of their respective nationality on their team. It is not a must of course, but it does happen at times. I still stick to my opinion that Koeman isn't the best coach for Barcelona anyway. I can also hardly imagine that he got along well with Messi.

Messi's play style is indeed so unique that it is unlikely we'll get to see that once again anytime soon. He is pretty much the only one who can frequently play slalom with 8 opponents over the whole pitch within just a couple of seconds. I guess the strongest we'll get to see are Mbappe and Haaland for the years to come.

I see that Atletico Madrid's next competitor is Espanyol in one week. As we know, Atletico Madrid loaned Antoine Griezmann from Barcelona in the last minutes of the last transfer window. I really want to see Griezmann and Luis Suarez side by side in an official match. It is an away match for Atletico Madrid but I think that they will win this by one goal in the worst case.

I also am curious about Atletico's next game with Griezmann. I'm happy to see him back at his old team after two years. He didn't play bad at Barcelona actually but his best times were with Atletico. I know that this is a loan deal but there is an option to buy for Atletico. If they decide to pay €80m for him, they will have him back as far as I know. But I'm not sure whether Atletico would pay this amount for a 30-year-old player.

You do realize that people just cultivated the number 10 in Barcelona, right?) Yes, maybe psychologically it will make Fati play better and even strive to become a better player, and I think Fati is capable of that. Young blood who is just starting to show himself may well develop into the new Messi. I don't judge players by their numbers, especially if people have imposed it, but Fati is very promising at the moment, and will be if he doesn't catch "star"
Ansu Fati is not that good, remember Messi when he was at his age? Dude was already a star at the time and we are talking about an 18 year old kid here. I am not saying that Ansu will not be a good player, he will be a great player, maybe even a star player all of those are probable but how many stars do we have in the football world right now? I could count at least 20-30 players who would be considered a star, probably more according to some people, but how many of them ever reached the level Messi has reached?

It is nearly impossible to find "next Messi" because there is only one, we are talking about arguably the best player to ever play this game, some may say some other name but there are a lot of people like me who say Messi was the best player to ever play this game. You can't expect something like that from some 18 year old kid, it is going to be very tough for the kid as well to wear that jersey because it may wear him down too.

Normally, we got a great match between Sevilla and Barcelona next weekend. However, the match seems like it is postponed. I'm really curious about what the reason can be. Let's say that they postponed it because they both have a CL match only after 3 days. But for example, Real Madrid are going to be playing their La Liga match and CL match which is only 3 days later also.

Some matches have been postponed due to schedule conflicts between La Liga schedule and World Cup Qualification in South America a lot of players in La Liga are from there so they are asked to play for their country, this problem doesn't happen to Madrid because maybe all the players don't come from there so they have no reason to ask for a schedule change. Btw the decision is not final as I read the request for schedule change has not been approved.

Maybe Riquelme talked to Messi and asked if he had such an idea. If Barcelona can fix the financial situation it might. Messi will also win the first champions league to PSG this year
Maybe Riquelme said that but Messi's contract with PSG is 2+1 years. Let's say Messi won't want to activate the plus one. He is still going to have 2 years on his contract. And I don't think that PSG will let him go so soon if they don't manage to win the Champions League title this season. If they achieve the title, they might be leaning towards such deal I think. Just think about it. Mbappe will leave the team at the end of the season. If they don't become the champions then they will still need Messi. If they lose Messi too, then PSG might not achieve the title for a long time.  Grin
Apart from the contract part that makes the decision in the hands of PSG / AlKhelaifi and we all know how he see things differently...Whether PSG achieved the most awaited title or not, they will try to keep Messi to get the title again or to get it if they will fail this season. Besides, Barca will not pay much to get old Messi back, unless it is a free deal + low salary. Another reason, Barca will try to turn the page of Messi era once for all, the guy will not stand for them for ever and they have to give chances to new talents. It is absurd to count on it the whole time.
I think Messi will retire in USA or Argentina after 2-3 years in PSG imo.

PSG signed Messi for two years, so I think PSG will keep him until his contract expires and I'm not sure about that conversation. But indeed, the legendary player certainly has a great opportunity to return to his old club just to end his career there, or become something that will have a big influence on his juniors at Barcelona later. Barcelona currently looks fine when compared to other teams too, because in La Liga at the moment the top-ranked teams don't have a perfect win total as they only got two wins and one draw from the three matches played.

Every player has at least 1 year remaining contract to sell this happens to get a good bargaining position in the market
The risk of price reduction occurs if the player leaves a contract of less than 1 year because he can leave on a free transfer
I think it is very possible that Messi will back to Barcelona next season he wants to be a perfect barcelona legend

I generally don't think that Fati will become world class, like a potential best soccer player in the world. It will be a tough season, or probably a tough new overall situation for Barcelona for the next years.
Because he was so young (18 years old)?

I see him as the most potential young player in the team as a left winger and he has scored 15 goals when played on the left winger. To be honest, I like it when the coach gives him more minutes than the other substitutes, but he still can't be forced to do it and he still has a lot to learn. There will come a time when Fati will become a rising star at Barcelona if he is able to maximize his potential as a winger.

I definitely am not saying that he is bad, and I also like it a lot when coaches give their young players a chance. Apart from the fact that he is wearing the number 10, I just mean that he isn't a monster like Ronaldo or Messi were at their youngest age already. Or let's say I don't see him on their level when he is 20 / 21. I might be totally wrong though, this is just from what I see and feel how he might develop. Messi was the world soccer player with age 21 I believe for the first time, that is just insane. And there is no doubt he deserved. In the season 08/09 he was the decisive player for Barcelona to win the first triple in the club's history.

It is 100% guaranteed that they did it to show Messi how they do not care that he left. This is typical move of someone who just got out of relationship, like sharing pictures outside having fun and so forth so that your ex could see you having fun. They gave Ansu Fati number 10 not because they believe in him neither, you are acting as if they believe Ansu will be amazing, they do not believe that at all, they would give the number 10 to me if they could just because they want to tell Messi that number 10 is not special and already distributed to someone else, they want to make sure Messi sees it and feels bad about it.

But, I also do not pity Messi neither, look at Barcelona they got rid of so much money, if Messi took €1 salary or even 10 million, then they would have kept him, but Messi wanted more and more which is why it is obvious that he deserves his number 10 to be given to anyone.

Listening to you, it is clear that you are a hater of Messi. Messi wants to reduce his wages by up to 50%. It is enough. Now will he play without wages? So who will bear the cost of his daily life? Don't be too fond of the Barcelona club. I am also a fan of Barcelona. But I don't think they will see the title in the next few seasons as the club is now. The management should be more responsible.

They see the risk from old player like Messi. Ronaldo in Juventus is a good example for PSG. Mess and Ronaldo are still good and top players but they are far from the days they can decide big matches like 4 or 6 years ago.

Now, they can contribute to the team but to win titles, matches, their team mates have to contribute more and stop dependence on Ronaldo and Messi's great moments.

The match between Arghentina and Venezuela has a moment that PSG don't like. When Messi was fouled by Venezuela's defenders. If Messi had not been smart and reacted fast, he would have gotten a serious injury and his leg would have been broken.

It is just theory and we don't know how Barcelona will become next 2 seasons. Messi can have his plan to return to Barcelona after two years in PSG but will he get acceptance from Barcelona to return and end his career there.

Next 3 years, we will know.
