Real madrid, Official Announcement:
Given the information published today by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, in which it says that our club studied the possibility of moving from LaLiga to the Premier, Real Madrid wants to assert that this information is completely false, absurd and impossible and it only intends to disturb, once more, the day to day of our club.
Source: https://www.realmadrid.com/en/news/2021/08/14/official-announcement
So who's telling the truth here? Real or Mundo Deportivo?
The fact is that with the departure of big football stars such as Ronaldo and now Messi La Liga has lost a lot to its attractiveness and significance which is likely to mean a drop in revenue for all Spanish clubs from TV and marketing rights.
Both Barcelona and to a lesser extent Real have financial difficulties and therefore wanted to participate in Super League and earn more money.
Less money and revenue means Spanish clubs can no longer compete with PSG and English clubs and bring in top footballers like Messi or Lukaku.
For that matter, the idea of Real moving into a much stronger and more competitive league with higher earnings is actually a logical step, in my opinion, and will happen in the future because it is inevitable.
There has long been no sentiment in top football, only money matters.
What do you think?
Maybe Real Madrid are really searching for a possibility to move to the EPL. But they don't want to announce it already now. In the end, they are a part of the La Liga and making a statement like that wouldn't be very nice. If they find a way and become sure about it, then I think that they will make an announcement.
Or I'm just wrong and Real Madrid are telling the truth.  Grin
I don't think that such a thing is possible in principle in the near future and the official refutation of the club testifies to this. But this does not negate the fact that Real Madrid is dissatisfied with the current state of things and I think that the idea of a Super League will be raised again after a while. Because rich clubs do not want to share in any way with poor clubs and want to dispose of super profits alone, and information about leaving for another championship is only an echo of dissatisfaction with the league can be specially thrown into the media space. By the way, something similar was already said in connection with Barcelona a few years ago, when well-known political events took place in Catalonia.

The Spanish League has lost its significance, quality and attractiveness in a short time due to the departure of top football stars such as Ronaldo, Neymar and Messi whose marketing value is enormous.
On the other hand, the league's revenues from TV and marketing rights will surely fall due to these reasons.
Real and especially Barcelona are already feeling the effects of a drop in league revenues.
Barcelona have come into a situation where they can't pay and keep Messi.
That's what Real and Barcelona insisted on so much on a super league to replace the Champions League.
If the situation does not change soon, and the league's revenues continue to fall, Real and Barcelona are likely to be forced to think about changing the league in which they play.
In football emotions and fans play not a big role but exclusively money.

The Blaugrana are at a turning point having lost Lionel Messi, who went to PSG after his contract with the Catalans ended. The newcomers Aguero and Depay will have a huge weight on their shoulders for this reason.
Barcelona are coming from a season that needs soon to be forgotten. Koeman's team finished in third place, while in Champions League they went out in the round of 16 against PSG. The only consolation is the conquest of the Copa del Rey.
Today against Real Sociedad Barça should win but I wouldn't exclude a draw, the safest bet's Home or Draw.

Of the 4 La Liga matches last night only Real Madrid got 3 points and the others got 1 point that was something unexpected for me, maybe this will be a more difficult season. Considering, even though Madrid won big but the fact that the goal was only created in the second half at least it proves that they are not easy to make goals fast and can play disciplined in the first 45 minutes.

New season, same old Real Madrid team. After struggling before half time, Real Madrid now lead away at Alaves with a goal from Benzema in what is a good start to the second half by Carlo Ancelloti boys. Will Real Madrid keep their lead and get 3 points out of 3? There’s 40 minutes of action left to find out

Its normal for Real Madrid to struggle in the first match of season. Thats why they struggled in the first half so much. But they scored 4 goals with their deadly attack. They scored 4 goals and dominated Alaves in their first game. I wasnt expecting such a big win from them in the first match
same here, i was expecting a win but not a big one, i was shocked to see the poll favoring Barcelona to win La liga, but i remembered that most of them were made before Messi left, i think that Real madrid's will win the title this year, but it won't be easy, they showed great performance in the second half and scored a lot of goals, Barca and Atletico Madrid will play tomorrow, they both have challenging matches, we'll see what Real Madrid contenders have this year.

Tonight, Real Madrid are starting the season by their match against Alaves away. But they have a lot of injured players now. Carvajal, Ceballos, Kroos, Marcelo, Mariano and Mendy won't be able to play in this match. But Benzema can still carry them to the victory. Alaves are not a very tough opponent so it shouldn't be so hard for Real Madrid to win this.
I agree that Alaves is not a team that will make it difficult for Real Madrid, the record for meeting the two teams is far from being won by Real Madrid.
Although some Real Madrid players are still injured, it is still easy for Real Madrid to beat Alaves. Real Madrid's first match against Alaves should have
gone well with Real Madrid getting 3 points. I want to see how Real Madrid play after being coached by Ancelotti, whether there is a change in attack
or defense. And also this will be David Alaba's first game for Real Madrid in La Liga, it's interesting how Real Madrid defended with Alaba in attendance,
but was left out by Ramos and Varane.
Real Madrid lost a year ago at home to Alaves. And I think that this match will not be easy. Real Madrid players are stronger than Alaves. But this does not always decide the fate of the match. I will look at this renewed roster without Ramos and Varan.

The Alaves vs Real Madrid match is over, and as per my estimation Real Madrid will have no trouble beating Alaves. Although playing away
Real Madrid managed to score 4 goals, this is a very satisfying result for Real Madrid supporters. As usual Karim Benzema played very well,
managed to score 2 goals in the match. And David Alaba as a new Real Madrid player was able to contribute by providing an assist in
the 92nd minute.

Alaves - Real Madrid game should not be very tough for Real Madrid actually. But Real Madrid still should play very carefully against them. Because they lost to Alaves home 2-1 in the last season. They defeated Alaves away 4-1 though. But it is better to be prepared. It may not be a very easy game for them.
Am expecting 3 to 4 goals from Real Madrid. Although, they are now in the second half and Real Madrid is leading with 2 goals, the first half ended in goalless draw. Real Madrid is supposed to win this match. However, am not underestimating Alaves, but, they can't easily equalize the score. I think the game is already a winning for Real Madrid, anyway there is still enough time left for the match to end.

I might agree that Barcelona will sell Pique and Busquets if other teams are interested, but I
it is almost impossible to think that Barcelona will focus on eliminating veteran players slowly and try to save money and start looking for replacement in the next 2-3 years with much lower salaries than their veteran players. I don't think it will solve their financial problem because without the star players the team would not be as great as it is today.

If they want to buy another star player, then they also have to pay expensive contract and salaries and still maybe the player is not as expected. Check out Dembele, Coutinho and some of Barcelona's new signings. I don't see him making a big contribution to the team and even more often they sit on the bench or go on loan to other club before being sold permanently.
I believe that they "may" not be as good as how they are right now, but its not just about getting bad players, it is just about getting players who will not ask for that much money. Do you honestly believe that pique deserves 10+ million contract? I honestly think you could get a decent player for that much salary, surely they will have to spend a bit of money to get that player, but with Messi gone, that 70 million a year could be a 70 million a year transfer fee, and 10 million when pique gone could be 10 million for another players salary.

So in this instance they could get rid of pique, spend 70 million this year to buy a player, give that player 10 million a year, next year get rid of busquets and pay 70 million to buy another player and pay 10 a year for him, and so forth, with griezzman gone they could get 4 players who will get 10 million a year salary. None of these are bad and they are still just spending the money they were already spending.

Deportivo Alaves vs. Real Madrid - Real Madrid Win
Osasuna vs. Espanyol - Under 2.5 Goals

Big odds night, Real Madrid win gives you a very nice 1.60 odds. Osasuna game will never finish with three goals or more, another 1.60 odds for that.
Make them a parlay, now you have a very nice 2.56 odds. Easy money (is it really?), we will see.

@Kusman Valencia managed to win the game 1 - 0 despite the early red card, and this shows that this team will have a very good season if they continue to be resilient like this as the league progresses. Furthermore I’m not sure Getafe fans will be happy with what they saw, and Getafe player’s will be under tremendous pressure in their next match.
When Getafe were also shown a red card in the 76th minute, the conditions were equalized for both teams. But Getafe were still the better side in the remaining minutes. I didn't watch the game fully but I guess Valencia started playing more defensively while getting close to the end. Valencia didn't have even 1 shot on goal in the second half.  Grin  Congrats on their victory! It's a good start.
Unfortunately for Getafe, they played well but did not win the match or even draw. I was happy if the match was a draw. Because Getafe's players attacked enough. But Getafe failed to score due to Valencia's defensive gameplay. Yet congratulations to the Valencia team, they won the first match.
Getafe shows that will be a tough opponent for all the teams and if continue to play with this mentality, can probably manage to achieve something bigger this season. Indeed a draw would be the most "fair" result but Valencia is a solid team that knows how to take/ secure a win. Let's see today's matches... Tongue

I agree with you. Getafe can be a strong opponent for any team, and in their own day, they can be terrifying at any time. Although Getafe lost, they played well. I think they will be at the top-10 of the points table this season if they can maintain that performance.

I think this game will end in a draw.
Both you and Slow Death expecting the game to end with a draw. After 40 minutes of the match, the result is 1-0 for Valencia thanks to a penalty kick but they lack a player after an early red card. The question is could they resist for the remaining 50 minutes?

They really managed to keep the score at 1-0 and win the game.  Grin  Getafe also got a red card in the last 15-minute period. And they did everything they could against Valencia in the second half. Valencia still were the winner even though they didn't have a single shot in the second half. I don't know whether it's really a deserved win but still I appreciate their success.
I think it is deserved but I am not impressed by watching the highlights of either of these teams. Both played terribly after the red card it should have been easy but they made it hard for themselves. Awful game for the fans to watch.
