Not your keys, not your coins!
Messi's finances are handled by his father. And he is a very greedy man. So I'm not sure that everything will go quietly. Most likely there will be some agreements, but the money will have to be paid. Messi can influence his father, but he will not refuse the money.
Does it matter for the failure of contract renew between Messi and Barcelona? Does it matter for the free transfer of Messi to PSG?

When we think that Messi was ready to agree on a deal even though he would get a 50% pay cut, it seems like Messi won't be hard on Barcelona too much over this matter. But then, his father comes to my mind. As far as I know, he is not a very understanding person. So, maybe he can convince Messi somehow to go after his money immediately.
You guys did not understand the story. Messi agreed to cut his salary to 50% and he can not cut it more because of La Liga rules. 50% reduction between two seasons is the maximum. La Liga does not allow more than 50% reduction of salary between two seasons.

Barcelona can not meets La Liga's Financial Fair Play rules if they sign a new contract with Messi, with 50% salary reduction. It adds their total salary budget up to 110% of the club income.

Messi can not do anything in this case. Barcelona can do it better and I don't know they really want to renew the contract with Messi or not.

https://www.90min.com/posts/barcelona-lionel-messi-owe-39m-contract-loyalty-bonus

According to the source, Barcelona still owe Lionel Messi €39m as part of a loyalty bonus included in Messi's final contract. As Barcelona are still in a financial trouble, I think that they wouldn't be able to pay this amount easily. I don't know if they have this amount of money to spare now. Maybe this could lead to a tension between Messi and Barcelona in time.

It is true that Barcelona still owes a loyalty bonus to Messi, but it is not possible for Barcelona to pay it in the near future. And I'm sure there won't be
any tension between Messi and Barcelona over this matter, because Messi will give Barcelona time to pay. That's because Messi is also aware of
the financial situation going on at Barcelona, I'm sure Messi would be wise not to demand that Barcelona pay the loyalty bonus now. This loyalty
bonus issue may be suspended until Barcelona's financial condition improves.

1xBit.. recovered their reputation

The absence of Messi in Barcelona will affect the club, but  Barcelona have to move on without Messi. He is a good player with talents, no doubt, but the club was spending huge amount of money on him, which was one of the reason the club is having financial crisis. I believe Barcelona squad can do better without Messi, Although, it will definitely take some time. He can't be forgotten easily in Barcelona.
since a few years ago barca has been addicted to messi
With Messi moving to PSG, Barca must be able to find the latest concoction in order to survive in all competitions on the European continent

I really believe that barca can survive without messi, even though messi is one of the legends in barca

Do not die for Putin
It is claimed that Sevilla are willing to sell Jules Kounde now. But it looks like Chelsea are not very willing to sign him as they don't want to meet his £68m release clause now. I think that it is really too much for the 22-year-old defender. But Chelsea have no choice rather than this one if they are certain to buy him. I can't actually call this as Sevilla are willing because then they would have a more merciful asking price.  Grin

Looks more like a fishing expedition rather than a honest attempt to catch the player. Most Spanish team, particularly the large ones, are now on a spin since they just got some fresh money and if there is one thing in the world that they know how to do is spend huge amounts of money, sometimes poorly. I think that Chelsea and Seville are simply not in the same wave nor have even remotely a way of getting an understanding, and that is from someone who know people on Seville and Chelsea.

not only chelsea even according to information from Real Madrid's media goals are also linked with the 22-year-old player, but Sevilla is unmoved by a valuation of €80 million.
but so far there has been no official offer only rumors and interest in signing as Monchi said on his official channel which said "Many clubs have asked about Kounde. There is interest, but no official offer."

Messi leaving Barcelona will really affect the team. When a tram is built on a particular player,It makes the whole team loose confidence when playing without that player. Now that  Messi is no longer at Barca, let's see if the other players that are at Barca prove to the world that they can still do well without Messi.

Keep choose and favorite Barca to win from Bilbao although without Messi right now, I think Depay become most scoring goal for Barcelona and help by Griezmann most easy for Barcelona to win from Bilbao. Barcelona have completed team now after Messi left club and only with midfielder they need new and young player, I see Bosquest is not strong again for Barcelona.
Are you sure Depay will be fielded in that game? Because as far as I know Barcelona have not been able to register Depay, Aguero and Eric Garcia at this time, because Barcelona still cannot reduce the salary burden under the Spanish League Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
So automatically when Barcelona first match later in La Liga competition, their three new players (Depay, Aguero and Garcia) still cannot defend Barcelona because of the existing regulations, and it seems we need a little patience to be able to see them playing on the field wearing the Barcelona uniform and I think if  Barcelona inaugural match later, it looks like Griezman will be Barcelona mainstay.

Maybe Barcelona wouldn't be so bad without Messi, but Messi is a player who can give something different to Barcelona's match. There is a much greater passion for watching the game when we see him involved in every Barcelona match and now I don't know if it will be very boring or not. For sure, Barcelona is a team and not just one player. It is impossible to expect him to be present all the time because if not this year then a few years from now Messi will also retire from the world of football as an active player.
I guess the last years of Messi was just a merchandise situation. Think about it, dude was getting 70 million at the peak level, 70 million! You could spend 200 million and get 2 amazing players which will be just 3 years worth of salary for Messi, and I mean like Haaland+Kane together for just 3-4 years of Messi salary, and you can pay them combined 30 million as well.

This team has managed to actually save themselves sooooo much money that eventually they will be doing insanely better, unbelievably better, everyone will be shocked how awesome Barcelona will be in the next decade, they will have the chance to dominate European football again with all the money they will save from this deal. Messi is great and all, but I think he was the only reason the team was doing horrible, sure financial management wasn't good neither but Messi was the main cause of that.
or... to watch how barcelona would become the next ac milan in their trophy-less decades.

its been talked everywhere that the barcelona board decision thesedays are in wrong way and a fatal one.
letting a potential young player and replaced with a mature player, you know which player it is...
and seeing someone talking about how they are going to build young squad full of potential.. that is far away from the facts, no matter how their club president are now different, thats still looks doing the same mistakes now.

*Since PSG signed Messi people are waiting in the line for his jersey, they sold 150 000 shirts with price of 108$. That is 16.2M $ in one day. First bunch of shirts went out in 7 minutes.
PSG will collect enough money from jersey selling in a month or two. It is very impressive income from Messi. He signed a two year contract with PSG, not one year and the contract has a clause to expand 1 more season, makes it up to three year contract.

In coming 3 years, how big is the income from jersey selling for PSG?

Quote
*According to some research, Messi leaving Barca will cost them 137M $ per season just in sponsorship deals
It is not only about sponsorship deals but also about income from results in La Liga and Champions League. Losing Messi is bad for Barcelona, in many aspects.

Quote
*When Ronaldo left Real, interest for La Liga dropped 8% around the world, now when Messi left as well whole La Liga will lose insane amounts of money from sponsorship deals and TV rights
Just short term and La Liga will still be top leagues in the Europe. Before the era of Messi and Ronaldo, they are top league and they will be like that after this era.
I believe it is mainly because it is a Messi jersey in a different team than Barcelona. For example, if Messi stayed in Barcelona and played there for this season, I hardly can see his jersey selling this much, sure it is Messi and he would definitely have his jersey sold a lot more than anyone else in the team, but not 16+ million dollars worth in first hour, that will not happen at all. It is obvious that PSG will recover his salary just from the jersey sales, but wait for next season and you will see that the total will barely break over 10 million, probably a lot less.

This is just the best player in history playing for his home team for 21 years and then suddenly going to another team, it’s like a unique thing, when you hear "I own a Messi jersey" you think of Barcelona jersey, not PSG, which makes this a lot more valuable and why people wanted to get it as soon as possible.

That true almost team got much money from jersey the favorite player, Real Madrid bought Cristiano Ronaldo with fantastic price but few week later Madrid get back their money from Cristiano Ronaldo jersey, I think not problem for PSG got Messi with free transfer and got much money again from Messi jersey, exactly have update what number use by Messi right now.

You are totally disregarding marketing side which players like Ronaldo and Messi bring to the club and league. Here is just some numbers I read while browsing local news from last few hours:

On the other hands, Lionel Messi posters are already being TORN DOWN from the outside of the Nou Camp. I am not a fan of Barcelona and I don't hate them but it is shameful from what Barcelona did recent years to Messi and other legendary players in Camp Nou.

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2021/08/10/11/46501929-0-image-a-94_1628591565082.jpg

It is very regrettable for this action, because in my opinion Messi's move on a Free Transfer is not the fault of Barcelona or Messi. According to the news I read in the media, Messi and Barcelona have already reached an agreement for a contract extension. However, neither could be achieved due to La Liga regulatory issues. Turning down the image of Messi, like making messi as a player who has betrayed Barca, if the news about the regulation issue is true, then barca fans prove that they have no respect for the club or for messi who had to leave Barca because he want to save their clubs.

That's why some netizens always sneer at messi even though they both have agreed to extend it but what can all the rules and regulations have to be fulfilled so that this can't be maintained and messi becomes a free transfer.

I think so because this is indeed too fanatical, so many people are cornering that messi betrayed Barcelona just wanting to go to PSG even though that's not the reason, and that sometimes a fan who is already attached to his love if a favorite player has to move just because of LaLiga regulations .

Lionel Messi's departure from Barcelona this season is a disappointment as well as a loss for the Spanish football federation.Messi's toy is a football icon that makes many people interested in watching the La Liga competition, maybe we don't know who is to blame in this condition, Moreover, the regulations applied by BBVA are very detrimental to the Catalan club, especially since many fans are disappointed with the policies implemented for the departure of Lionel Messi in La Liga this season.
