Barcelona Is the team that depends only on Leonel Messi and as a fan of Real Madrid I accept that Real Madrid is winning the games in a strange way, but they are winning and that is what that matters


When a team plays well, scores many goals and wins many games, there will be no reason to blame the referees, Barcelona is not having a great performance and that is why it is in second position

Everything is impossible if Madrid leaves only 1 game with a point distance between Barcelona 4. But now Madrid still has to play the remaining 3 matches and I think there is still an opportunity for Barcelona to cut the distance if Madrid fails to win in 2 matches in a row. It is very difficult, of course, to expect Madrid to play badly in 2 matches because they are already very close to the title this season due to Barcelona negligence in the previous few matches. Of course Madrid will not let that happen and they will do anything to get the title this season.

Barcelona knows this season is already over since Real Madrid has some easy matches going forward. But i don't think that's the problem because Barcelona has looked bad quite a few times this season. It's going to be extremely interesting to see what happens to Barcelona after Messi retires. Because right now Messi is carrying the team almost every match,either by scoring goals or offering assists. He has 22 goals and 20 assists this season. Real Madrid did great after Ronaldo left but I'm not sure what's going to happen with Barcelona. Suarez is also 33 years old, so he will also be gone with Messi. Barcelona spent a ton of money on Coutinho, Griezmann and Dembele more than €120M on each of them. Dembele was injured almost all season, Coutinho was loaned to Bayern München(came back 1 week ago) and Griezmann didn't look great. We'll have to wait until we can see all of them in the squad. There is definitely a ton of talent to this squad but the coach has to find a formula that could work somehow because talent is not enough.

No, it is too early saying the title already won by Real Madrid. Although there are only a few matches left against small clubs, Real Madrid shouldn't underestimate them. Look! Real Madrid still has a match to face Villareal on Thursday, 16/07. I think it won't be an easy match for Real Madrid. A careless strategy can lead to a failure winning the trophy. So, until all the matches ended, never state that the title/trophy has won already.  

It's really difficult to tell something about today's Barcelona game. Yes, we won, but it's probably only positive thing from this game. It was difficult to watch such performance against Valladolid, who are just mediacore team.
Atletico won in their typical style 1:0, despite that they had to play with 10 men for more than 30 mins, after Hermoso got red card. Now they officially guaranteed place in Champions league next season.

Real Madrid are probably going to win against Alaves and even if Real Madrid manages to drop up to four points in their remaining games, i'm notconvinced that Barcelona won't do the same, looking at how they've been playing and today against Valladolid was nothing different.


Anyone watching Atletico Madrid vs Real Betis ?! Atleti have had two goals ruled out by VAR and they just scored the another which is under review yet again

After Barcelona's win tonight, the gap has reduced to 1 points for now with Real Madrid having a game in hand. If they do win the 4 points. I just want Real Madrid to keep winning to the last day. Villareal won't be an easy match thou.

There is 4 point difference and only 3 games left, that means 9 points available and Madrid has to lose 4 out of 9 points. That is like 2 draws in 4 games or 1 loss and 1 draw in 3 games. Looking at their game they will play Granada, Villareal and Leganes for those last three games. Villareal is 5th and only game that looks like there could be a point loss there (which I still doubt) Granada is 9th and Leganes is 19th! in the league.

So, I think if it is alright, we could say that Real is basically the champions, sure not mathematically and sure sportsbooks wouldn't pay up the bet just yet (on the outright champions bets) but whoever has a bet that Madrid would be champions could take a breather now. I was expecting this game because if Madrid lost points here that would make villareal game a bit more tough.

Nah, it just goes to show you how salty and bitchy the Barca President, Administration, Coach and some players like Pique can be when their team is on the verge of possibly going trophyless this season. They go on to make unwarranted accusations and create a mountain out of nothing. Instead of focusing on how their team can win, they are busy making commentary on the officiating of Real Madrid's matches.

Why is it that Barça are the only people making a lot of noise even more than the opponent Real Madrid "cheated"? Is Barcelona the only other team in La Liga?
Have you ever seen Real Madrid come out and make noise about how Barcelona's matches are officiated even when they are doing badly in the League? The accusations are a real low blow from Barcelona and are nothing to be proud of in sports. They want to make everything political especially Pique.

Let's be honest, If you have watched all the recent matches. Which penalty do you really think was a result of VAR favoring Real Madrid?
Everything awarded was with in the refereeing rules, even far better than the Penalty that was awarded by VAR to Manchester United Last Thursday.

HT 0-1 Barcelona, coulda been more for Barca. Valladolid were pretty bad, as everyone expected...

these type of teams who rarely find such good form in a season rely heavily on momentum...as soon as they lose that momentum (thx to the virus), they'll go back to being their old self, on top of that if the manager can't motivate the players enough so that they can get that winning mentality back, then this bad form will snowball out of control and will result in poor performances over and over again

next game against Villareal will be huge, pretty much a final, it could be a turning point for Sociedad, both teams are in the race for a europa league spot.

Absolutely and this knd of thing is worse than pandemic for the one number reason for the loss of every teams or institutions is separation which eradicates the bond and the inner winning spirit of the team. If they didnt settle their difference the final is out of their reach but it all good cause the misfortune of someone is the betterment another person.

Unlikely, both team playing 35 games, Madrid is ahead of 4 points. The calculation is too hard to Barca to win the title. They have lost it already unless Madrid get slipped on their next matches which I think very unlikely to be happened. Barca team isn't that good formed which is one of the reasons to lose points after the league started again in the pandemic.

I believe that Barcelona will win this match but Barcelona rarely places two strikers in matches they play throughout the season. Usually they always put three attacker even if Messi is injured. But I see this match they only have 2 strikers by relying on Messi and Griezmann without a third striker. Changes to tactics like this are usually done when many players have to be absent because of injury, but I see Suarez is on the bench and he is on the list tonight. Very doubtful of the quality of the new Barcelona coach, I really dont like him staying there longer.

3 point that are very important for Barcelona tonight because they have to keep chasing Madrid in the standing, hoping they will lose.

I agree what you said here and that's true to be honest. Barca would have won that match and get three whole points and would have got a better standing in the table. But what's wrong with Madrid vs Sociedad match? Does that have anything to do with the point table?
However, if Barca got win that match, the competition for the title would be more interesting while now Madrid is going ahead easily.

@slow death I don’t think that those two teams will pose any real challenge for Real Madrid, because Real Madrid has superior player's in their squad, and further they have already won so many matches back to back, hence they’ll be playing with more confidence then their opponents, therefore I’m not worried about those two teams.


@slaman29 I can understand your feelings, as you’re a Barcelona fan so it’ll be hard for you to see Real Madrid lifting the league title, but even you’ll have to admit that post the covid break Real Madrid player’s were transformed, and they truly deserved to win the La Liga title.

I agree Barcelona have some serious trouble going on with their squad and board but Real Madrid's recent run of wins is over-hyped in my opinion. If you look closely then they are winning matches with penalty and only 1 goal difference. Especially the game against Real Sociedad was 100% robbery.

People criticize that Barcelona played bad against Espanyol couple of days ago but what about Real Madrid against Espanyol in Matchday 32? Real Madrid hardly able to win the game from the goal of Casemiro else otherwise Espanyol completely dominated the game. But against Barcelona, Espanyol was on back-foot and defended with 8 men in entire game.

Barcelona's slip of title was not entirely their own fault. They were robbed in the game against Atletico Madrid where referee wrongly awarded second penalty to Atletico. Imagine if Barca won whole three points in that game and Real lost 2 points in game against Real Sociedad then they both would be sitting at equal points.

About today's game, Setien made exciting change by benching Suarez and playing 4 midfielders. When we all started thinking that Messi will start playing deep as attacking midfielder, Setien changed strategy by placing him as Second Striker and that too in left wing. I am very excited to see how this experiment will yield because we can finally see some sync developing between Messi, Alba, Roberto and Puig. My Prediction: 1-5

Barcelona are not stable with rift between some members of the board, coach and players is making the team unbalanced, Barcelona are playing below what we have seen them play, except zidane real Madrid side slip up the league is out of Barcelona reach this season, I think they should work and start preparing for post Messi era, Barcelona has players above age 30 and for the future of a club this is poor, I am not happy with there selling of author and signing of pjanic-this guy is a short term player-,

You know, this year has not been good for any kind of sports. I think i'm having the worst time in my life. Not only barcelona, all the club has given less entertainment in this year. but i'm not satisfied to barcelona's playing. I think they are able to performing more better. because they are much stable team than others.

I bet that Celta de Vigo will win that game, although it may surprise you too, but the Celtic needs a victory to see if it is further away from the danger zone

Can someone explain what is going on with Real Sociedad ? After the break of pandemic , they forgot how to play football and they barely create any scoring chances and yesterday was no different for them as they lost to Granada... .

My prediction for today is that somehow Betis will manage to score 2 goals against ATL.Madrid tonight.
