As Villarreal is a strong opponent, unfortunately without Ramos they're in a tough situation.

it will be hard for Real, but do not think that Villareal is a favorite neither
both teams have some injured players, Villareal actually had a good schedule so far, with five home matches and good score at home, but without "high scale" opponents, lost at Barca 4:0, and what is their best result so far is a win in Madrid suburb against Getafe, so their position at the table should be looked from that position as well

think that Real will have a good time there, win is questionable, but would not call a lost match as well
Very hard for Real Madrid after losing so many important players like Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Valverde after injury and Eden Hazard have positive covid 19 make Madrid team look not complicated when facing with Villareal, I think Madrid have bigger chance to get three point from villarreal and Karim Benzema will on fire to make score again. I think have international match many player back to club with not good condition and have been substitute player and Real Madrid loss their many player when facing with Villareal. Madrid has a sizeable advantage against Villareal because almost all matches are always dominated by Real Madrid's victories.
Real Madrid are losing a lot of their main players against Villarreal tomorrow and indeed, with the games Villarreal have been through so far only looking good against the mid-level teams but there we also got good results when Villarreal against Atl, Madrid. That way, I personally believe that Villarreal will still get 1 point or even 3 points because even the H2H matches in the last 6 matches between Villarreal - Real Madrid but Madrid are not very good and don't dominate the victory too much. So maybe this is the right time for Villarreal to win the game at home against Real Madrid.

It looks like the match at UEFA National will affect the results in the Real Madrid vs Villarreal match.  Ramos was injured while strengthening the Spanish team vs Germany..
Quote
Real Madrid has the potential to be without its captain and flagship center-back Sergio Ramos for this match. Ramos suffered an injury while on international duty with Spain in the UEFA Nations League.
currently, Villarreal is in 2" place in the standings while Madrid is in the 4" position, support for Madrid, hope they win tomorrow..

Sergio Ramos absence will be duly felt by Real Madrid, he's such a leader even while being at the heart of their defense, his influence is evident across the whole team!

That said, I still think Real Madrid should see off Villarreal, even if not easily...I don't see Madrid drop points.
The absence of Sergio Ramos will affect the whole team. He is like a pillar of the Real Madrid's defense. He is a world-class defender. And the most important thing is that an experienced player like him is very necessary for a team's win. Villarreal is not an easy opponent. They play very well now. It will be difficult for Real Madrid to win against a good team like Villarreal without Ramos.
Again injury takes the strike, we're going to miss him against Villarreal. Sergio Ramos is defensive monster, a winning mentality leader, and the man behind all Real Madrid's wins. Wish quick recovery and honestly, Real Madrid are gonna feel his absence. As Villarreal is a strong opponent, unfortunately without Ramos they're in a tough situation.

Real Madrid have lost Ramos to international injury (or is that just rumor) so do you think it's possible another loss is for them to a lesser team? I am ready to pick one upset this week.
They aren't even playing that much of a 'lesser' team this week as they are up against Villarreal, a team doing very well this season; Madrid is a world class team and they should be able to cope if it's confirmed that Ramos will be absent in this match, but they have dropped careless points to smaller teams this season. Having said that, they seem to win the big games, like the match against Barcelona, so I think they'll beat Villarreal in this game, I predict a 2-1 victory for real Madrid.
I think it's already the time for Messi to retire.
Do you mean retire from international football, that's prolly possible, but for club duties Messi still has many years ahead of him, either in Barcelona, Manchester City or any other team he leaves to, it's definitely time imo for Messi to leave Barcelona, but not to leave football, definitely not.

Honestly when you are Messi and you made as much money as Messi did, just one 30% drop in salary shouldn't really be a problem for you if you are enjoying your life, it is not about 30% reduction in salary I am sure of that, normally if you offer someone that rich just 30% less money for one year they would still accept if they are happy with where they are.

One big example this year comes from NBA where Hardne got a 50 million dollar extension which would be the highest paid player in NBA history (salary-wise) and he still declined, he already has few seasons left in his contract but he wants to leave the team which is why he is not going to suddenly accept a bigger pay. So, if you have a star that wants to leave, even offering more money may not make it work.

Can we talk instead about other things other than Messi? I love the guy and I love my club but I feel like the more we generate interest the more the news has to feed it. Let him be.
Let him free. Free of mind and free of drama. Leave or stay, let him free to make his choice.

After the club has a new coach, the President retired, Messi won't feel happy more than last days of last season. His form is not good as same as he used to have but it is not most important. He can stay at the club and play well next seasons if his mood won't be improved and he will no longer feel happy at the club.

Messi era is come to the end, at Barcelona or at any other club he will join. The world need other super stars to take the place of Messi, Ronaldo and Ibra.
I agree with the last sentence, remember that at every generation we have awesome players from Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo...to CR7 and Messi then maybe Fati and others later.. However I still think that Messi era will last a bit longer. His drop in performance is expected when you see his mood and the fight he was obliged to do vs Barca's staff. Anyway Koeman isn't convincing and doesn't seems to be the hero that will make Barca great again Tongue so maybe, maybe Messi will play better if he gets kicked?
@slaman29, well people tend to talk about important things which is positive for the club imo Smiley

Many players who played a bit longer turned themselves into an unwantable expanse for most teams. We've seen that for some legendary players before Christiano Ronaldo and Messi. I think it's already the time for Messi to retire. He had already thought about it from the national team and he can easily pull of a good living with all those endorsement and business ventures he owns.

I agree, but ideally, there must be a commensurate successor. If no Messi anymore and no player can replace the position of Messi, I think Barcelona will lose the team balance. We know Messi isn't only the most experienced striker there, he is also the captain and the icon of Barcelona. I think it won't be easy for Barcelona to let Messi goes. There are many considerations that really impact directly to the team and to the club as well.

Maybe it's even worse to face another team without Messi, Barcelona is attached to Messi, so if the salary is reduced by 30%, of course this will be very disappointed for him, especially now that Barcelona is on the verge of collapse not placing again at the top, Koemen will not give. the way if this decision will be faster.
But if Messi's departure happens then the Spanish League will not shine again because there are no star players who shine there.
You are right. The Spanish league will lose many spectators if Messi leaves. Now there is no other star player in the Spanish league except Messi. And Messi has a lot of fans.
Messi will leave in any case. Now or in a few years. For me it’s better now. There are no spectators in the stands, and Messi is not so important to those who are on TV. Moreover, he is not as strong as several years ago. And Messi’s departure will allow him to open up. other players. LaLiga was before Messi and will be after him.

It looks like the Barcelona must accept Messi's departure very soon. The reason is, Messi's salary that has not been reduced by 30% will make Barcelona face serious financial problems amid the ongoing competition without spectators. City are ready to bring in Messi early to take this opportunity, they will plan to sign Messi in the January transfer window.

I agree if Messi leaves Barcelona, because Barcelona's top priority is to save the club's finances, letting Messi go is the best solution
in my opinion. Moreover, Barcelona's finances are getting worse now, after all, Messi has passed the prime years. Rumor has it that
Manchester City are ready to sign Messi, hopefully this will happen soon.

Barcelona faced financial right now but messi left or not is not change because next window transfer Messi become free player after Barcelona not sell Messi in this season. I think bad impact with Barcelona later without Messi how to get public and fans attention and Messi become the icon for Barcelona more than last ten years. Faced financial crisis and Messi left Barcelona and become Manchester City player will make Barcelona most crisis player and financial, now for new Barcelona president have looking new way how to make Messi keep stay on Barcelona and have solution for financial.

One thing is pretty sure now is that messi definitely won't extend the contract , Don't know whether it's because of the salary matter or not , even it's true about salary.. he won't reveal it as it would hurt the fans.

The speculation is because of Barcelona's president, Bartomeu and Messi have a problems. however, this is only speculation that I read in the media. Messi wanted to leave early last season, but the contract clause for interested clubs must pay a minimum of 700 million euros to Barcelona, of course this clause making the club willing to buy. in 2021 Messi's contract ends, if Barcelona wants to release this player for free, then this will be a big mistake for Barcelona. Of course, City will not bid 700 million euros, but at least, Barcelona made the money from this urgent sale.

I think there are only 2 possibilities here.
Messi will stay in Barcelona and extend his contract or will go to Manchester City in the winter transfer window for a much smaller amount of money (probably around 100 million euros) and join Pep.

If you look at how messi play thesedays.. you'll see he seems not motivated anymore to play .. both for Barcelona and Argentina , he often letting the opponent pass through him and there's no effort to press them out. What's wrong with him? He needs a teammates like suarez or neymar .. or a mentor like pep guardiola around him.

The next game of Barcelona would be interesting though, Atletico so far unbeaten. 6 points clear from Barcelona and Atletico might beat them this time.
This is too sensitive about it and he will not talk about it too publicly but some say that a 30% salary reduction is possible and Messi doesn't accept it but I think Messi at Barcelona like him is no longer comfortable for players who used to be not like now. and only Messi remains while the old friends have been away for a long time, so what happened to the performance was not good and I think this is just my speculation.
It could be that he survived like before, who mentioned that he would leave, but in fact he still survived.

Messi has given up for many days. The ways he plays and acts on the field hurt Barcelona's fans a lot. You can't blame him. He intended to leave this season but the previous president of the club forces him to stay and play for another season. He is a good man with a good soul but in this situation, there is nothing he can do anymore. Even increasing salary cant hold him back

The Spanish League knows how to generate new stars. I believe that. Spain has 1 world cup, 2 UEFA European Football Championships so don't underestimate this country. Messi is not all they have
