So ok...  What would happen if one of these players catch the bug while in training or during a match?  Shut the league down again?

I mean...  It could happen.
It depends of the scale of the infection tho. If a player was infected outside of the stadium, most likely he will be excluded for 2-3 weeks or more. At the opposite if a horizontal transmission is spotted between players of the same team which can affect that team performance, or between +2 teams then this could definitely be a reason to hold everything again and of course cancel the Liga...

No matter how that player got infected as long as it happened on a league game the whole league will be suspended again. Just take a look at how the NBA suspended their league due to one of their players not feeling way and that time there was no confirmations yet if Gobert was positive of the virus. The same thing will happen in the league since symptoms doesn't show up just instantly you may never know if that player had catch it during his last game or two so everybody here is literally affected. Even if they had increased their medical security and everything I think this will be their procedure once a player got tested positive during the resumption of the season.
Let's hope that players will respect instructions in this case and don't gang celebrate after a victory in crucial game  Undecided
Now imagine a crazy player or staff in a team near the relegation zone and afraid to see his team downgrade trying to be infected  Roll Eyes

I am not sure about the mask in LaLiga but recently Premier League director has laid out protocols during the pandemic crisis in which players to wear mask is one of them (Source: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/04/30/face-masks-disinfected-footballs-among-rules-premier-league/). I am sure LaLiga will follow this as well. I wonder why you guys don't expect any players to wear mask during the match or the training.
Have you tried to play fottball or do other intensive physical activity wearing mask. It make breathing complicated and mask become vet very fast, so it makes more harm than good. And wearing mask would be pointless, because football is not contactless football, so even with mask you can get inffected easily. As I read article, there is no word about wearing masks during game. It's probably more about players who are sitting on bench or when they arrive at training ground.

So ok...  What would happen if one of these players catch the bug while in training or during a match?  Shut the league down again?

I thought about it too. I read that in few Bundesliga teams there was some positive COVID-19 tests, but despite that, today it was announced that Bundesliga will retart on 15th May.:

Exactly ^^ There is a possibility.

Wait what bug..  (?) its a virus  Cheesy.

If things were to resume as it is, there would be series of precautions before the league actually start. It means the whole player, referee and also including the staff as well as everyone else related to that would be tested. They got more than enough budget to test everyone there to ensure safety enviroment

If the test is negative then that means everyone is safe to play or train there.

If players are mandatorily required to wear face-masks in training and in matches, maybe they must wear oxygen equipments on the pitch too.

Haha nice one , but protocols are being laid down by the Director of Football administration himself. I agree it does brings out players feeling uncomfortable playing with the masks but given the pandemic crisis I guess they are giving precautions more priority.

They wouldnt take any risk, I think the league will be stopped again no matter the scale. They can't estimate where and when exactly the player gets infected, and who the virus carrier is. So even tho only one player test positive, the whole tournament should be stopped again.

After much speculation about La Liga clubs being allowed to return to training, La Liga has finally officially announced that clubs in Spain will return to training this week.

Reported by Football Espana, La Liga plans to continue competition in the 2019/20 season after breaking down due to the pandemic Virus Corona (Covid-19).  Reportedly the match could be held again in June 2020.

Previously, La Liga and the club had planned to continue the rest of the 2019/20 season.  Real Madrid also planned to return to training on 11 May.  Meanwhile Atletico Madrid have instructed players and staff to conduct a Corona virus test before they return to training this weekend.

Besides it could make you hard to breathe properly while running, using the wet mask because of sweat would be uncomfortable at all. It could also be taken off accidentally by other player when trying to get the ball. And I'm curious, how the referee blows the whistle while using mask then?

Haha no player is going to wear a mask while playing or training. That would be a ridiculous requirement eve in the current situation. How the hell do they expect players to breath?

It's only believable if they get worn by staff members, stadium workers and medics around

Old argument that was never really resolved. They already shared those La Liga masks weeks ago and my first thought was that they were not practical but apparently, sportspeople have tested them and they are not built the same as the masks we're used to. But no use to speculate, just gotta wait and see them use it in training.

Can not imagine how the players run fast using a mask of course it will be very disturbed in breathing they may quickly fatigue in a short time because it will feel very disturbed.

As you said the staff or people are on the sidelines, of course it is mandatory to use masks to maintain the stability of the suit.

How so do the players agree with this rule?

It is going to be so weird and I am sure when governments allow football matches resume, they do have to accept some risks of cross-infections between players. In such face-to-face sports, hoping for zero cross-infections between players if one of them contains the virus is very unrealistic.

There is no way that any player is not going to get infected.
I think that we are going to see cases of players that will start getting infected after the restart of the league.
It is inevitable to keep all the players uninfected. The only case for that would be only if they had continued the quarantine and they were getting out only to play matches.

If that has to be continued, I dont expect the players, coaches and staff will undergo the match using masks on their faces. Cheesy
I don't think that the match will use masks on their faces to avoid viruses, it will be difficult for players to use like that when competing.

Offcourse players will not wear masks, it's simply impossible to play football with mask. But I wouldn't be surprised if staff - coaches, doctors, TV crew, ball boys will have to wear it...

Teams will start traning next week. La Liga action could resume in June. I'm so gonna watch Real Madrid training session live on tv lol

Good to hear and thats what we have been waiting for all this time since all games have been postponed. Previously, Serie A had confirmed that they would also continue the season and now La Liga.

Even though this is good news for everyone, it would be better if no one from our favorite team got infected with the virus after undergoing a test. Look forward to the good news from all teams regarding the results of the tests conducted.
After the Bundesliga, EPL, Serie A and LaLiga have confirmed that the training session will be held next week then this is good news too and I am sure in gambling there will be no more obstacles when football is recovering. Good news for football lovers to hear this news.
