Mixed feelings about this. Now we see Japan reopened and in China too, second wave is hitting hard and making everyone else think twice. I love my football and want to see everything restart again but my team especially now will be hit hard so I'm not sure they're the best to come out of this. And then if second wave hits, we'll be forced for sure to just cancel everything.
Right now we all need to be positive for future because most of Sports Authorties doing hard for start of season again but health officials still not happy about this because they feel this could be cause more troubles but I am also feeling now time for some work and hopefully we will be good in closed doors for rest of this season and then move more good for next season in future.

China is already hit from the second wave - in another city.
The same is going to happen in Europe and eventually in Spain.
If the league is going to start now, we are going to have problems in the end of the season or the start of the new one.

@slaman29 it’s a delicate situation for them because if they cancel the league now then they’ll suffer huge losses, and if they allow the league to continue then they risk players and staff lives if they interact with a Corona infected person, but I won’t judge them if they continue to resume the league despite the risk of the virus spreading due to it. Furthermore I believe that they’ll take best possible care to prevent the spread of the virus, and hence let’s hope for the best and pray that no one gets infected with the virus while playing in the league.

The players have the green light to start individual trainings.
After 4th May they are going to start training as a team again.
Hopefully, we are not going to have an outbreak again and the La Liga is going to continue normally.
It looks so easy on paper but might be so hard in reality. Imagine one player gets infected but is asymptomatic and then continues to spread to other players on the pitch.
I am also wondering what measures will be taken if it's discovered that couple of players were infect in a team. Does the resumed league continue or it stops until the players recover while other's are put in quarantine?

Pedro Sánchez the Prime Minister of Spain gives the green light for the football so that teams prepare to play in June.
Starting Monday (May 4), all footballers will be able to resume training but there is an order from the Ministry of Health that each group (associations, religious, clubs, among others) and this includes football they must carry out tests to detect the Coronavirus, this is done to guarantee the health of the players, and the collectives. We can hopefully see how Spain gradually comes out of quarantine.

Speculation about what will happen next regarding Covid-19 current condition is endless. Why does the competition have to continue if they are still doubtful about a wave bigger than what is happening now ? Although they can plan well, but risking the health of players, staff and all sports lovers is not a good thing in the middle of this pandemic.

If the pandemic still cannot be overcome, then there is no best decision besides stopping competition and minimizing risk. No one wants to be the next victim even though a player gets a big salary and believe me the situation will be much worse if everyone is determined to continue the competition.

A second wave of the virus is going to come for sure.
Just see China and what is going on there. We just can't expect when this is going to happen so we cannot pause all leagues for ever. We have to go back to normal even if this is a little bit risky.

LaLiga, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the National Sports Council (CSD) agreed that the season will be completed. The time frame is still to be decided. Spanish clubs can also return to training, subject to health recommendations, although the club captains agreed to only train again, when things are safe.

Still, too early to judge thou. UEFA has already given them a deadline of at least until 25 May to come up with a plan which is less than a month away. It gets me wondering what will happen, there is a second wave of infection.

Shall we have to complete this season at the cost of the next one?

Very interesting article in Marca today: https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2020/04/21/5e9e18cb22601d340c8b456e.html
''Half the Barcelona players face an uncertain future''.
In short, it seems Barcelona will probably have financial difficulties and problems to bring top players in the Club.
Also, a lot players face an uncertain future like Rakitic, Vidal, Semedo, Umtiti and many others.
To many problems for Barcelona now.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are two clubs that rely the most of TV incomes, tickets and marketing material and PR.
Due to the lockdown all those activities are stopped and this is why they now face financial problems.
There would not be a solution this year for sure so they are going to keep those problems in the following season as well.

Right now, it seems that Barcelona have much bigger financial problems and Real is much more stable financially.
It seems to me that Real are doing a lot better at the moment than Barcelona.
Real have no problem with board members or public attacks on players through marketing agencies paid for by the Club.

In this case i don't see any harm

do you really believe that once they rename their stadium that will be temporarily only?
we are talking here about millions of money, and yes, I see the bigger picture here, this is just a way to hide behind the covid crisis and wash more money through the club
I am not believing this entire story written in the article but look at the text that I quoted.
"search for a sponsor for 2020/2021" and "fund research projects and the worldwide fight against the pandemic"
Now is it hard to say that they are looking to change the stadium name for some money to help the team recovering from this economic disaster? I mean pretending to collect money for research then turning it to themselves is the worst scenario and will affect the credibility of Barca...

Barcelona: Sponsor to name Nou Camp for coronavirus funds

well, it's a way to make money, the covid story is just a story
the name of a stadium has to be untouchable, like the name of the club, but money is always in front of the supporters hearts

shame on you Barça  Angry

I would not really shame barcelona, i think the pandemic has left them short; just like the rest of the club sides in europe.
After spending hugely on the likes of Coutinho, Dembele and De jong; Barcelona are short on funds.

If selling the naming rights will help the club recover both in finance and on the field of play, then its a fair deal.
EMotions do not pay bills in sports.

I just read the news, it seems that Barcelona is really in a time of trouble, but they are trying to cover up the difficulty began to preach cuts in player salaries, then problems with the president and his staff and finally sell the stadium naming rights.
even in the last few days I have not read news or rumors that Barcelona will bring in new players. Are they really having financial difficulties?
Just because of this Corona we have many big troubles around sports world as many clubs facing very serious problems and cutting salaries and other things same happening in many other sports as they are facing some serious and long term problems so now time for them to have some good and long run policy for future.

It reminds me story how they ad space on their jersey. For more than 100 years Barca kit was without sponsors. But then they gave space Unicef and later silently sold it for Qatar Foundation/Airways. Same will happen with stadium, I'm sure that commercial name will remain about this crisis. For me as Barcelona fan it's really it's really sad to see what Rossel and his puppet Bartomeu are doing with this club. Mes que un club - more than a club they say...
