It seems that opportunity has been lost because Alexander Sorloth had to be pulled out and replaced by Jose Luis Morales because he suffered an injury in the middle of the game. So it is certain that Artem Dovbyk will be the top scorer this season with 24 goals. The big 7-0 win over Granada provided a smooth path for Artem Dovbyk to win the title, as in that match he was able to score a hat trick after getting 2 penalties. Jude Bellingham and Lewandowski still have a chance to snatch the title, but it looks like it will be difficult to realize it. The gap is too wide, and there is a possibility that Jude Bellingham will not play in the full game because Real Madrid still has the Champions League final to face.
I'm really sure no one really expected Jude Bellingham to score 5 goals to match Artem Dovbyk's goal tally at the top of the top scorer standings. Ancelotti will not force Jude Bellingham to play full time in the Week 38 match, of course because Bellingham will be prepared to face Dortmund in the Champions League final.

Artem Dovbyk will be the top scorer this season although there is a possibility that the gap in the number of goals between Bellingham and him will become smaller if Ancelotti plays Bellingham against Real Betis. 5 goals is too high to catch with only 1 game left, but it's possible.

The decision to sack Xavi and appoint Flick comes after a detailed vetting process by Barcelona’s sports director, Deco, and the club's president, Joan Laporta.

With this decision of Xavi not being the coach of Barcelona anymore, I think it is going to make Barcelona perform badly in the next season. and personally, it is not clear to me why they have actually decided to let him go. Because I thought if he was actually with Barcelona for one or two more seasons, she would have been able to bring in better performance. I do not understand what they are asking from him considering the fact that they are not giving him enough money to do anything at all. So I believe they will be able to give more money to the new coach that is actually going to take over the managerial job at Barcelona. At the same time, I hope they do not regret this decision as well.

Dissatisfaction with the Barcelona manager meant that Xavi had to be expelled, even though in the middle of the season Compared to their rivals, Real Madrid continues to show brilliant performance but Barcelona is unable to compete with them, which is what makes Barcelona hesitant to extend Xavi's contract.

Now Barcelona has officially announced that Hansi Flick will become Barcelona coach, a good decision for Barcelona to be able to compete again next season, because Xavi is not a great coach, his ability in Europe is very low, this shows how they compete in the Champions even though they have there are many great players who fail, in my opinion Xavi's quality to coach in Europe is still lacking.
Even though you think of Xavi as an inexperienced coach in Europe, at least Barcelona didn't fire him at times like this because after all Xavi has also fought as hard as he can to put Barcelona in a not bad position in the La Liga standings even though Barcelona ended this season without any trophy. However, I also don't think that it is a bad decision for Barcelona because maybe for Barcelona it is the best thing for the team to replace Xavi and put someone else in charge of Barcelona next season.

Xavi is a good coach who has done various things to make Barcelona rise from adversity. Xavi doesn't get much budget support to strengthen his team, but he doesn't lack ways to make Barcelona have a reliable squad. Of course he has encountered unpleasant stories at Barcelona as a coach, even after bringing Barcelona back to life and competing for the title every season.

Xavi is a good coach, but we know how things turn out when the coach and management do not agree with each other. Previously, Laporta supported Xavi, he backed him, he believed in him and that is why they made sure they got him players last season and the season before that.
When people talk about the financial situation of Barcelona they make it seem like Barcelona didn't buy any players. The club brought in players like Lewandoski, Kounde, Raphinha, Gundugan, Christensen, Cancelo, Felix, Roque, to atoith the players Barcelona already have. yeah yeah, that squad is not the best of the squad but they're a squad that should have been able to compete. If the club feels Xavi has failed to achieve what they wanted then they have the right to let him go. That's what differendifferentiateseam from the rest.
If a coach stays in Madrid and doesn't win any trophy while performing like Barcelona he would be fired.

Laporta pleaded with him to change his decision, and he did, but then he decided to sack him a few days later. Does that make sense? Laporta behaved badly in this case. Of course, Xavi didn't achieve everything they wanted this season, but this is not the right way to sack him. The way the authorities handled Xavi's departure upsets me. Xavi shouldn't have changed his mind about leaving at the end of the season.
By the way, I would say his time at Barca was good, considering he didn't have much to work with. Winning La Liga and finishing in the top 4 is great. Isn't it too early for Laporta to get another coach while their financial conditions can't support recruiting star players?

The last round of La Liga started yesterday with a flawless victory of Girona by 7 goals which was a sad farewell for relegated Granada.
Osasuna 1 - 1 Villarreal. Villarreal could not get the 7th position in any manner even if they collected the three points.
Real Sociedad 0 - 1 Atletico Madrid. Even this match has no impact in the standings of both teams so whatever its result, it is not that interesting. Same goes for the remaining games with no impact on European competitions position or relegation.

Xavi was expected to be kicked from Barcelona at any moment especially that few weeks ago he was declared out then resumed... Their might be some misunderstanding and tensions between him and the staff but that was mainly due to the poor results they had and for not winning anything this season.
Barcelona was devastated this season by not getting any trophies, but the position in the standings can still be said to be good for Barcelona this season. Because apart from these bad results, I am actually more convinced of other sentiments that caused Xavi to be expelled from Barcelona at the end of this season and replaced with someone else. However, I am also not quite sure that Barcelona's new coach can bring Barcelona back to its glory next season if Barcelona is still experiencing a financial crisis.
Obviously, Xavi dismissal was not about the results he got this season, and also not about not winning any trophies this season but about the disputes and or differences of opinion that occurred. Therefore, initially Xavi had stated to leave the team at the end of this season but over time, there were disputes and or differences of opinion until finally Barcelona stated to dismiss Xavi. So, regarding Barcelona's failure this season not to get the trophy it is not a problem factor but even so, I really prefer Xavi to leave because after all, Barcelona also does not appreciate Xavi at all.

I don't understand why Xavi was fired. Because Xavi has already announced that he will not stay with Barcelona next season.   This season is going to be Xavi's last season with Barcelona. Also, we haven't heard any rumors about Barcelona sacking Xavi this season. We heard the news of Xavi's dismissal quite suddenly. And we were not at all prepared to see such news.

But I agree with you that maybe the Barcelona management decided to fire Xavi because of Xavi's conflict with the Barcelona management. However, we haven't seen any news in the past about Barcelona management's conflict with Xavi. However, now I am waiting to see who Barcelona appoint as their coach.   If Barcelona hire someone like Koeman as coach again, we will see a further deterioration in Barcelona's performance next season.

Honestly I did not expect that if the statement issued by Xavi in an interview actually led to dismissal, actually the statement was not a statement that would embarrass Barcelona because it was still within very reasonable limits, but I did not expect that Laporta considered it as a bad behavior or speech so that indeed Xavi had to get bad treatment after his sacrifice so far at Barcelona,  Laporta seems to have indeed made Xavi a scapegoat for all his failures in leading Barcelona so far.

Xavi dismissal was of course not unexpected at all because indeed previously Barcelona had tried to keep Xavi with all their might so far, but now they sacked Xavi as if he was a very bad coach, now Flick has officially become Barcelona manager for next season, but I think in this case Barcelona made a gamble by appointing Flick as coach,  Because the current Barcelona is not the Barcelona that has triumphed in the past, Barcelona is currently a team that is indeed in a bad financial condition and of course they will not have enough funds to later fulfill Flick desire to recruit star players.

Yes, maybe they had internal problems which ultimately made the relationship between them not good, so that in the end Xavi had to be the one who was kicked out because of the bad relationship. In fact, if we look at Barcelona's performance, he should still be worthy of being given the opportunity to become coach next season. However, news circulating that there has been an agreement between Barcelona and Flick confirms that Xavi will no longer be part of Barcelona next season.
However, I think Xavi will soon find a new team, because his performance is not bad and even shows something that I think is quite promising. So maybe it won't take long for him to get a new team.

Hearing about Xavi departure from Barcelona is shocking to most of us including Barcelona fans. There was little internal disagreement in the past that we didn't expect him to stay this long in the team. Some few days ago, Xavi wanted to step down as the head couch with dignity but the Barca president begged him to stay which he agreed only to wake up and informed that he's been fired. I learnt that there's a little issue between them after Xavi made some speech in the conference but I don't see that as enough reason to part ways with the couch.

This is a pure stab at back and an act of betrayal from Barcelona management to one they called their own legend. Many couches were fired in the top league but some of them are predictable and can be justified but this Xavi sacking is totally different which I see as a mistake from Barcelona. Xavi couching record is not too bad and I believe he can secure a job somewhere soonest if Rooney with worse record is being running after. I hope the incoming couch who is reportedly to be Hansi Flick can perform better as they assume and not end up being sacked in the middle of the season.

Lol I just checked and yeah Alexander Sorloth was substituted in the 17th minute this so-called unlucky day can come at any time I know he must be very disappointed even though this is the best opportunity to write his name in Laliga history because there is no guarantee that next season he will get this opportunity again. On the other hand, Artem Dovbyk as the lucky one, doesn't need to worry about losing his position. Now overall La Liga has ended the season because there is nothing to fight for and each team just plays normally without a target, I mean 8 games left doesn't mean anything.

Girona have played all La Liga matches in this season and make us shocked after success securing third standings position for season 2023/24 and their attacking line players Artem Dovbyk success leading top scorer awhile with 24 goals of 36 appearance. Last night success made hattrick after defeating Granada and he has opportunity with La Liga top scorer depend on Villareal striker Alexander Sørloth scoring 23 goals and he has match left today with Villareal against Osasuna.

Little disappointed for Real Madrid fans although have won La Liga trophy but their player Jude Bellingham seems difficult reach Artem Dovbyk because one match left Madrid will face Real Betis and Bellingham jus t scoring 19 goals.

La Liga top scorer awhile

Yeah Alexander Sørloth has a chance to be in the top 1 or at least equal his record of 24 goals, currently Villarreal is playing but 30 minutes into the game there have been no goal but yeah there's still a lot of time left. It's a little surprising that the list of top scorers is led by some unfamiliar players while some names we know such as Bellingham, Lewandowski or Vinicius Junior have not been able to compete.

For Bellingham I understand, not because he didn't play optimally but because he missed several matches in Laliga and the coach prepares him for more important matches such as the Champions League, recently we can see that coaches are playing young players or new players to gain playing experience this has an impact on Bellingham's goal activity. Apart from that, Real Madrid also has several players who actively score goals do Bellingham is not the main target.

This match will be Xavi's last match as Barcelona manager, because it is certain that Xavi will not manage Barcelona next season. The coach has officially been fired by the team from Catalonia. I find it strange, what is happening among club officials, Barcelona can easily change important decisions, including regarding Xavi's future. As reported, he had announced his resignation at the start of the year, but then changed his mind after being courted by the club last month. However, as was later reported, Xavi was fired by Barca on Friday 24/05/2024. Laporta kicked him out because his coach mentioned the Catalan club's financial problems.

Girona's campaign of this season is undoubtedly a successful one. Finishing third in La Liga is always an achievement for a club of Girona's calibre. It would be better if they could win the league breaking the dominance of Real Madrid and Barcelona, but experience and squad quality of Girona didn't backup this aspiration. This summer will be a nightmare for Girona in effort to keep their important players staying at the club, because big clubs will persuade them to move, while they have Champions League competition next season.

The win over Granada with seven goals shows how good Girona is when they play with pressure. The hattrick by Dovbyk signify the record breaking of the biggest win in La Liga for the history of the club. This win is such a fresh air for the players after fight an intense campaign of La Liga. It's a morale boost for the players who will participate in Euro 2024.

You can agree that they would have finished in second place of not first if they had continued in this same fighting spirit. To a point when Madrid was just above them with six points you could tell that the Los Blancos were feeling threatened by them and tried their best to not get dropped from their spot by Girona because of how unstoppable they were but the sad part was they could not win Real Madrid when they had their chance and that's how their woes started.
One will say it's better to finish third place than not make it to any European competition after playing so well throughout the early stages of the campaign and I must say that no team have been able to pull this feat over Granada, unapologetically spelling G-R-A-N-A-D-A by those seven goals and while some will defend that Granada were playing with ten men, I doubt they will have been able to do anything if they were complete.

Everything has happened, Xabi will not manage Barcelona next season, Barcelona management has appointed Hansi Flick as his replacement. Barcelona new era will begin with a new coach next season, perhaps there will be some surprising transfers made by Barcelona to facilitate the new coach. Barcelona failure to win a trophy was not because they were incompetent in managing the club, the financial problems they were facing meant that Xabi had to work hard to maintain Barcelona performance despite all the limitations in his squad. Xavi has succeeded in promoting several young players from La Masia as future stars for Barcelona. If Xavi is entrusted with managing Barcelona for the next two years, Barcelona will reach its best level again with players who have tiki-taka DNA.

with their new coach, I hope that Barcelona and their new coach can adapt to each other well, so that they can return to having a performance with their own characteristics. of course with their new coach there will most likely be several transfers made to improve Barcelona's current quality, also in my opinion Barcelona currently doesn't have experienced players and their young players are not yet able to perform very well, but what has been done? they this season certainly deserve to be appreciated.

It is also possible that due to their unstable financial problems, this could affect Barcelona's performance this season. With Xavi having left Barcelona, this is certainly not the end of everything, Barcelona will start a new season with a new coach and I hope that Barcelona can return to its best level for the next season.

It’s too early to say whether Atletico and Barcelona will be stronger next season, one can only speculate, but Xavi’s dismissal does not speak in favor of this. But if Michel remains in the team and Girona keeps all the important players and tries to strengthen the team, then Girona can be just as strong a team. I didn’t expect that Dovbyk would be able to make a hat trick in the last match, so far he is again leading the best strikers, a good season, it is important for Girona to keep him in the team if they want to be as strong.
Xavis dismissal is actually going to be challenging for Barcelona because I think it's rare to see a manager currently who will be able to manage Barcelona well enough through their financial status and still be able to achieve as much as xavi has been able to achieve since the beginning of this issues till this moment, earlier when he did mentioned he will be exiting Barcelona by the end of the season, it brought about several reactions as regards it's effect on the team after his exit.

Before now Barcelona wasn't really termed a tough team in the la Liga this season and now the exit of Xabi is definitely going to add to everything to making them even a lesser tough team because I'm sure any other Coach who will be coming after Xabi is most definitely going to start all over and may need some time to getting the players used to his style and tactics, aswell as his strategy of which it will take some time from them except they will be utilizing the break to get that fixed. Girona like u did said if they eventually keep their players and not selling them off, they will be a strong team this season especially if they get to improve much more than they were in the just concluded season.

Atletico may even get stronger then Barcelona in this coming season, before now they have been a strong contender in the la Liga when Barcelona had all the strength, now when it's looking like Barcelona will be having one of their toughest hits I think it's going to be a weakness that most teams may capitalize on against Barcelona and for the first few weeks of the season Barcelona may start of poorly abut may eventually get to improve in cause of the season.

Things went really interesting for Barcelona recently. First Xavi was leaving, then they convinced him to stay but later on there were some problems occurring once again. Now he has got sacked officially.  Sad

Now one of the serious candidates is Hansi Flick. I think he would be one of the greatest choices. Because he is a manager who has a career filled with many titles. He is a World Cup winner manager (with Germany in 2014) before anything else.  Grin  He just hasn't managed a team out of Germany yet. But I don't see it as a negative side for now.

I hope Barcelona starts a better era with him and it would be consistent as well.  Smiley
Xavi dismissal did trigger controversy which also stemmed from controversial remarks in recent weeks, previously Barcelona continued to try to ask Xavi to stay, but when he had agreed to stay at Barcelona Xavi was fired only because of a trivial matter, the dismissal carried out by Barcelona was certainly beyond our expectations so far after Xavi was able to lift Barcelona performance from the slump, so far Xavi has put all his mind and energy so far For Barcelona but unfortunately the sacking does not seem to reflect an attitude of appreciation for all of Xavi performance at Barcelona at the moment, when later maybe Barcelona with Hansi Flick slumped in Barcelona of course everyone will assume it is karma for Xavi dismissal.

Hansi Flick is a coach full of experience and also proven to be able to handle large teams so far, some of the prestigious trophies he was able to give to Bayern Munich are clear evidence of his coaching prowess so far, but we cannot deny if Hansi Flick success at Bayern Munich cannot be separated from the depth of the Bayern Munich squad which was very capable at that time,  But next season of course we will see different things when he coaches Barcelona, Barcelona who are indeed in a financial crisis of course will not be able to buy great and expensive players so indeed Hansi Flick has to work hard to improve Barcelona performance with makeshift players and I think maybe Hansi Flick will find it difficult to do that.

Xavi was a good option for Barcelona. There are less manager who are emotionally connected to Barcelona as Xavi is. His entire career was spent playing for Barcelona and he worked all he can to pick together a team from a crumbling club. He did his best from what he have and led the team to 2nd position at the end of the league.
Hansi Flick is a good manager but it would be his first managing a Spanish Club. He can bring the German tactics to Barcelona team. Whether he'd be more success than Xavi is still to be seen but I don't have a high hope from what Barcelona holds now. I guess Hansi would want to reshuffle the team a bit. A failure may mean Barcelona would go further down on the table.
