Wouldnt it be interesting if bfl were mining with unshipped equipment to fund refunds, and now with the receivership, no more mining, and btc hashrate stabilizes, making the difficulty not rise so dramatically?

Pure, outrageous speculation, but fun thought none the less.

Fun thought, but I suspect BFL is a small player in the chip building business.....

This, plus I dont think bfl produced the devices to use in a surreptitious mining scheme.

They screwed the pooch, it seems.  If they had sold in batches, like everyone else did/does, they wouldve been, imo, a more successful company.  I suspect they got overwhelmed by the volume, and then noticed the big piles of cash, and said, "screw it.  We cant deliver, so we may as well turn up the bass until if and when we get shut down."

I still want my cup warmer, usb powered jally.  That wouldve been a cool little toy.

The bonus hardware has finally been removed from GHash.  I'm glad we're no longer supporting such a large pool.  It is on a private PPS pool that will allow for 0 variance whatsoever. When live stats become available I will add them to the website.

Nartz.  Maybe I wont receive that refund I've been waiting on.   Angry
Speaking of that, is it actually good for us that marshalls seized their stuff, or rather not  Huh
Given that they had just started shipping Monarchs and looking at how the HashFast saga has gone, I would say it almost certainly is not good for BFL customers.

Cross thread quote alert!

From BFL fucks us over again:

Did somebody mention the FTC? Apparently the FTC showed up with US Marshals today and closed the place down, seized their assets, and sent everyone home. I only have personal confirmations of this at the moment as I am a former employee but I expect this to be verified in the news soon. You heard it here first.

Should be interesting, if true....

Speaking of interesting...

I've had some contact this afternoon from someone whose word I trust, and who is close enough to BFL to know.  They confirmed the above post.

Still waiting for more info on the BFL deal, chances are that if someone wanted to troll, they could wait for the heads of BFL to be leaving for a conference or meeting of some sort to where they couldn't deny the claims and then post something like this.  Honestly, I have no clue myself but should be interesting either way.

There really is nothing to take pictures of.  I have been to the headquarters a few times for various reasons, and really, nothing is out of place or looks different.  The parking lot is still full of cars, just like normal, and you can't tell who is going inside whether it is for A.L. Huber or for BFL.  I sat outside for a good 10 minutes and watched a few sharply dressed men enter into the front of the building, again could be for either company, but no one come out.  They sure didn't look like they had sent a bunch of people home or were raiding and seizing assets of anyone.

No police cars, no government looking cars, nothing besides the normal.  If you want pics, you can go to google earth and look from there, it looked the exact same as when I drove by.

The only thing I noticed was a large semi truck out back, and when I went around into the hotel parking lot next door and peered through the bushes, there were a couple of large trucks.  The other ones probably belonged to the construction company, but the one closest to me was rented from a local company (I forget the name) and said, "Operated by Butterfly Labs" on the side of it.  Nothing was going on with it, and I couldn't see in.  The light was not right for me to snap a picture, but I thought it odd they would need to long term lease a shipping truck.

All in all, pretty uneventful and kind of a waste of time, nothing seemed to be going on and it sure looked like people were probably inside working away.

Says everything looks normal

So far, no confirmation.  Odds are looking good for this being a successful troll.

As per the address that was there I followed the chain to and from BFL's addresses, so either it is one of BFL's address, one of EMC's addresses, or it was Gox and BFL may have been goxed which could explain a little bit about their delays as money issues could've turned them into (more of) a Ponzi.
Great....  So our refunds may be on the "BFL delay train"(TM)...

30-45 day processing times...... enough said.
We shall see if this is true.  I will report back.

...your money is in the Rebate queue and should be sent to your wallet in two weeks.

FTFY.
