Use the NMC you generate and buy GHashes... everything you buy makes 3% of that amount get added to LRM.

Only a complete n00b with no grasp of math would think the gigahash prices on there remotely good compared to what our noble friend FriedRat can negotiate.

Never said they were... but instant delivery compared to TWO WEEKS!!! is a big factor... especially when it is just merge mined coins that we were not earning before.
You're also adding another layer of disambiguation by doing that though. You are already trusting that LabRat will honor his agreement and continue to work for the best of his investors, him buying "hashrate" that he doesn't control now forces his investors to trust that gigahash.io won't run with the money. Given some of the concerning issues raised about GH.io attempting some bad actor test attacks, I would say there's no real way to directly compare the price of 1GH/s on that site with 1GH/s sitting on a rack in a facility you control.

I always thought GHS from cex io was very expensive?

The price has come down to legit levels for an instant deliver miner basically.

Best part is using the NMC to buy GH/s means they can just be sold off when the time comes...  it is still a risk but et least the coins are doing something and still retain liquidity and value.

Official LRM shill
I vote more long term like the asic project. Think buying a few Ghs now would be short term due to the rapid difficulty increase...
Heh.  Holding seems to almost always the best bet.  Smiley

Its 2 paths to take, buying Ghz now its +660 gh today to the mining power for those 3200sh NMC, with the 22k they're worth, you might be able to buy some THs and get it in 3-4? (too optimistic?) months, guess it all ends up to do the math on what its better.

The referral bonus only includes purchased GHS

Oh, that sucks, so I moved pools thinking I was helping LRM while it does nothing at all :/

It can help.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what would best help LRM with these alt coins we're mining.  There are plenty of ways they can help.

I vote dividends Tongue Might be smarter to trade for GHs then trade those GHs for BTC instead of trying to go through an exchange. (Haven't really looked)

CEX.io has a NMC/BTC exchange in itself so no need to go NMC>GH>BTC if you just want to put it in Divs.

I would still say LRM should be buying GHashes weekly on div day and report the cloud hash rate.

There, I added 50 GH/s using LRMs Cex IO Link Smiley

How did you do this , could you please share with me too.
I guess he bought GHS on CEX. I have some stuff mining at btcguild. Does the same bonus apply if i let it hash at the linked ghash.io account? I'd be happy to signup again using the labrat referral link...

So, the current time-line I see is:

December 2013: 3ish T/H added
January 2013: BFL Monarchs, maybe?  (Unless the Dec added IS the monarchs?)
Late February 2013: New BitFury equipment starting to come in. (100 to 200 T/H)
Early March 2013: BitFury equipment continuing to come in.
Post-March: ASIC project stuff

Comment:  I personally expect the Bitfury order to be late, because the last one was late and I'm an eternal pessimist.

Questions:

1.  Do we have a time frame for a trading platform?
2.  Shouldn't some of this stuff be posted to the LRM website?
3.  What hash-rate additions are subject to two weeks of holding?
4.  Can we PLEASE only start the two weeks of holding once ALL of a new batch is in place so we're only missing dividends of the increased hashrate for exactly two weeks?

This is correct except the Dec hardware might move to first week of Jan and it has nothing to do with the monarchs.  The monarchs should be in the 25TH range.

The trading platform is next on my list after making stats public, as I said I was busy through thursday of this past week.  From here on out I should have worlds of time to throw at making LRM everything it should be.  I am going to be updating the website this weekend as well as moving the hardware to a new pool.  Nothing should experience 2 weeks of holding again, but that helped out the company more than you'll know.

Labrat, Did we get the extra 3 T/H as per this post?

BTW, has anyone noticed that the time between blocks is HUGE lately? It looks like there is an issue somewhere. The last block that was found said "unknown" I have never seen that before and blockchain.info is acting weird, anyone else notice this?

Possibly this issue with pre-0.8 ?

Cry Cry
Some bitcoin clients wont accept block 277956 for some reason.

This is some #bitcoin-dev discussion about the issue:
http://bitcoinstats.com/irc/bitcoin-dev/logs/2013/12/29
http://bitcoinstats.com/irc/bitcoin-dev/logs/2013/12/30 <- Ukyo asked for some advice in this one.

Even http://blockexplorer.com/ is stuck on block 277955.

Tonight I moved one office over to ghash.io

These rigs are set up with 3 backup servers on btcguild as well as 2 other pools.  If you ever see a dip in hashrate on this it may be, and is likely, due to the fact that if there's a minor issue with one of the rigs connections for more than a couple seconds, it will hop to another pool.  Nothing to fear.

The equipment I did move over can be tweaked to get a little more out of it as restarting the mining process on a bitfury rig can result in a completely different outcome than the hashrate before the restart.

It appears the resting hashrate is between 14 and 14.5TH on this office without the tweaks I will be doing.

With it being 20F and below outside, at the same time as me recovering from strep throat and a wrenched back, I've been a little slow to get it moved over to the new pool.  My apologies.  Tomorrow I'm going to try to take it easy and work on some end-of-the-year spreadsheets and paperwork, but by the end of the week I'll be working on a lot more for the public.

For those of you looking for a referral link, you can click LRM's hashrate bar and it will refer you under LRM.

If you would like an actual link, here it is: https://cex.io/r/0/LabRatMining/0/
