Hmmm....

BFL have announced half price Monarchs for new orders with existing pre-order customers having to swallow full price for early ASIC fabrication.

Though there will not be any offer of redress coming from BFL for existing (I don't know if LRM has any 'special relations' with BFL) would it be worth putting in an order for half price cards knowing that they will offer the same return (ish) taking increase in difficulty into account?

BFL have stated that thousands of wafers will be available in order to drive their GH/s contracts so new Monarch orders should turn around relatively quickly (4 - 6 weeks?) once chips are available from the foundry.

Thoughts (keep them constructive!!!) ?

The only constructive feedback is to literally never do business with BFL again.

BFL excised their hubris muscle to their long term detriment. But, hey, who said Sonny was in it for the long game. Each person involved in the founding of BFL is now very wealthy. I predict that they will sell the company after the big Monarch push is done and retire to some other private venture - which is undoubtedly the operation and maintenance of one of the largest private pools of hashing power in the world.

LabRat the Monarchs will be late Feb at the earliest - PM me if you want details on this (from the horses mouth)

BFL not living up to promises?  Shocker...

Yes! and they still due everything to piss off their costumers by lowering their price on the monarchs 50% While other Asic company's compensate their failures to deliver. BFL decides to push more cheep hashing power to new customers.

BTW I am banned from their forum... Not really sure why. Could be because I said that if Josh was really sorry for his "estimates" he would accept refund.

Happy New Years everyone!!!

Today I'm going to be working at the hosting location again for the better part of the day.  It's a weird concept being in the 20's (F) outside and having the door open to let the space cool a little extra haha.

I hope you have a plan for summer! Smiley

LabRat was in Contact with Cointerra but with the ASIC project maybe this is not anymore an option.
I/we don't know.

Thats basically LRM mining solo... If mining solo its not an option, HHTT its not an option either.

4 days for last block.. i guess we need something more .. lucky?

Only 22291.381 GH/s on HHTT.  "Luck" as you call it will increase with more hashing power.  ;-)

Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.
Always used Eligius as main pool
Ghash.io as backup pool

Lab Rat could do the opposite as Ghash.io does merge mine more coins. As long as you have a backup pool there should be no issues if one goes down (see it as a non-issue)

Same.

7 shares = 0.00587398 BTC this week.

That is 0.00083914 BTC per share.

I am not sure where I can see current bonds held but last weeks was 58,174 bonds so...

(58,174 X 0.00083914 BTC) X (4/3) = ~65.088173813 BTC for this week before LRMs cut.

At current difficulty, 23 TH/s for 7 days should have yielded ~68.5643 before pool fees on average.

Pretty damn close. Not a bad week I would say.

I may have lost track of time. So, keep that in mind. But the week after the two mining thing was over, divs were paid out on about 5 days. Something like that. But I'm assuming last weekend was a full 7 day div payout at the full 23TH. That's my assumption here:

Given that assumption. It seems the divs today weren't bad compared to a calculation based on the difficulty increase. Difficulty went up about 30%, but divs showed less change at about 27% compared to last week. Perhaps, damage from difficulty increase was mitigated by merged mining returns.
