Hey, although I am more than a bit concerned about Lab's relationship with BFL, I do not want to do anything to hurt him and I apologise for inserting my personal views into his thread.

If you guys and dolls want to chat with me about my plan to fuck with BFL, let's take iot over here, OK?:

Posting their contact info?  Like anyone there would care.  They'll change their numbers and email addresses, only exposing some public info that goes through an automated system and screeners who are paid kids to run through it.  The people you are trying to impact, won't be impacted.  The idea that anyone will do anything is also dumb.  Like anyone is going to go drive over there and put the hurt on them.  They could go there now, it's public knowledge where it is at.  They go to all the shows.  So this plan results in nothing happening but a bunch of stupid messages blasted all over the net.  Forum mods are use to deleting garbage and we're all used to ignoring robo posts.

Huge waste of time.  They won't care.

BFL can just change their company name, and all that posting will be worthless.

You want to hurt BFL?  Stop giving them your money.

tl;dr:  "We're going to firehose all of the various internet Bitcoin forums and boards with posts containing BFL contact info, please send me $100 to buy the software."

Really?!

I'd rather give BFL another hundred dollars than send it to someone to pollute the internet with more spam.

grnbrg.

Well, that is what we are going to do, with or without help from this board.

Regardless of what BFL has done (and I'm not defending them in the slightest) spamming more detestable.

DIAF.

grnbrg.

Well, then you should not detest us for what we are going to do.

Please note that the definition of spam is unsolicited commercial EMAIL.

We are not emailing.

2nded grnbrg there and can also reiterate Spam (electronic) does not only apply to email (nor has it as long as the term has existed in relation to the internet).

Oh god... Roll Eyes

A good start but no emailing at all.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(electronic)

Quote
"Electronic spamming is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited bulk messages (spam), especially advertising, indiscriminately. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social spam, television advertising and file sharing spam."

Sure.  No email spam.  Got it.

Good stuff!!!

I think Mindsync Miner is spot on that BTC would be better off without the stink of BFL. I wonder why BFL is still allowed to attend
BTC conferences? Unless these BTC conferences are about scamming money, are they LR?

@LostDutchman Is there a petition to get BFL banned from attending, anything and everything BTC related? Is that something you could look into?

Not that I know of an no way to keep them out I think.

Seems like a total no brainer to get a refund if we can get some immediate hardware from almost any other source.

Yes!

The only problem is that those BFL assholes, has for some reason a waiting time 30- 45 days waiting time for refunds.
To take refund from BFL would also be the right thing to do. On the aspect that not that many contract holders like to throw money at BFL

At this point no one likes throwing money at BFL......

And no one has the balls to do anyting about it but wait for the lawyers to do what they do.

By the time they get done what they do, BFL will have mined a gazillion dollars in BTC, will have spent all the money and will file what we call a "Straight Fuck You!", otherwise known as a bankruptcy and Bitcoiners will have no one to blame but themselves.

Bitcoiners want to "take the high road" and play by the rules.

Right.

Do that.

Just for pure entertainment purposes... What do you suggest we do with them?

Really?

Surprised you haven't seen my suggestion!

You cannot fight BFL by playing by the rules and I am getting ready to go on my own as I do have some support from certain members of the community who are not eunuchs.

In your position as a Mod on the BFL forums (If you indeed still are) you might let them know that I am coming after them and Hell is coming with me!

An independent miner.

I'm surprised BFL still had enough customer goodwill to survive their 65nm debacle. I guess the proposed hash rates and delivery time were too attractive. I didn't really believe their hype that they would move much faster the second time around because of lessons learned from their first ASICs. I believed they would be late but golly-gee-willakers they've gone well past what I expected.

If this round doesn't kill every ounce of confidence in BFL I don't know what will. Corporate Karma has come around exacting a toll for poor customer treatment/service and opaque intentionally vague/misleading updates on progress.

I wish BFL customers well but I feel like it's a similar situation to Mt. Gox. Crypto is better off without the company stinking up the place and customers had plenty of warning that things didn't pass the smell test.
