Most likely, they started mining on slush, and realized it was totally problematic, and switched to BTCGuild (remember, once they started slush hit a 'bad block' that didn't pay out for 6 hours - and if they had any 'instability' it would have meant losing out on payouts due to the way their payouts work)

The problem is we still can't say for CERTAIN because you can carry as large of a balance as you want and then do manual payouts of however much you want. We still need to see a consistent pattern of BTC coming in to make a determination on hashrate.

If they gave us their user id we could know precisely.

That would, however, require that they talk to us.
Their feelings are hurt, doubt they will ever forgive us. Cry

To be honest the general behaviour in this thread I think many would be. certainly make companies think twice about taking this route for investment.. which is shame.

Btcguild finally
if they have already switched, are we supposed to see their name here:
https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=rankings§ion=teams
(given that they are hashing at a speed greater than 603.81 GH/s)

That's only if they have created a team. Otherwise, it will be in the individual accounts section. Unfortunately, without them telling us the account ID, no way to know which one is LC.

BTC Guild 391T

25 * 2 / 391 = 0.127 BTC

0.7BTC could be the income of 2 blocks. So the hashing speed is 391 * 0.7 / 25 = 11 Th/s.

Great number. Smiley But we'd better to check more paying before we can know their actual hashing rate.

Great!

All depends how many blocks are in the payout.  I'm sure that info is somewhere...

Dear experts..

If all works well, what is the expected share rates in say 1year?

I'm trying to understand if they need to be sat on or get a good price?

The hashing rate of BTC Guild is 391T.

25 * 2 / 391 = 0.127 BTC, so it took more than 5 blocks for 2Th/s to get 0.7 BTC.

By checking the transaction history, however, 0.7BTC could be the income of 2 blocks. So the hashing speed is 391 * 0.7 / 25 = 11 Th/s.

Great number. Smiley But we'd better to check more paying before we can know their actual hashing rate.

Now they're getting coins from some totally new address 0.7BTC

Wtf...
They are from this mining address:
14cZMQk89mRYQkDEj8Rn25AnGoBi5H6uer

How did you know it's BTCGuild?
Oh, by the coinbase signature. I see now.

They came from btcguild.  This address: https://blockchain.info/address/14cZMQk89mRYQkDEj8Rn25AnGoBi5H6uer

Looks like they came to their senses about slush.

So do you think we have a chance to know what happened between 10 Sep (the day they announced 2Th was mining) and Today?

a) Hashing did not work and they were busy fixing it. b) Hashing worked well, but the BTC mined were lost / hacked / distributed as their bonus. c) There were no hashing at all.

I would guess:

d) Hashing worked with variable speed due to issues experienced. Due to solo mining no BTC were mined.

Maybe nobody cares any more. Slush's pool has distributed 2 blocks more but nothing went to LC's address.

If I remember correctly, someone mentioned that it would be difficult for LC to prove their hashrate while using Slush (can't be bothered to look for post).
Anyway, it seems actually quite easy using their API to integrate this info into any site.

Take a look at #11824. If they want, they can show us what they have.

Nice, I must have missed that post.
