Best case scenario is that you can buy the shipping label in advance online, then insert that shipping label tracking number in the repair ticket, print it and seal up the package  Smiley

I always buy the shipping label in advance for these warranty repairs.

According to UPS my 4 miners should be here Tuesday!!!!

Happy for you. I am still waiting for my repair items  Roll Eyes

Didnt take 3 weeks for a significant amount of miners to break down lol

What happened ? broken hashing-boards ?

Not until now. And i pray that they don't fault.
They have thousands of HW errors already while other got 30 lol

But most of the control boards were broken. And bitmain being bitmain, they are letting me wait and its a pain in the ass troubleshooting and solving the problems. Have been dealing with them for almost 2 weeks now and im still waiting for replacements.

I admit shipping times and customs play a role too

Hello bro, Did you send your hashing board to Bitmain Warranty , And  please give me a procedure i was not getting what i do,

Its saying this on bitmaintalk ->
c. Click 'Print' on upper-right corner to print two copy of Repair Ticket. Stick one copy outside the package and put the other copy inside the package. The package will be rejected if there is no two copy of Repair Ticket.

this is from here ->
https://shop.bitmain.com/workOrderGuide.htm

without Tracking number how can i print 2 copy of repair tickets and 1 inside and 2nd out of box. ?

First thing to do I write support. With the L3+ its stated you are not supposed to send the whole miner, but just to make sure you got "permission" to open the miner without handing away the warranty.

Next write a ticket and add an imaginary Tracking#.

Go to your post office fill out everything you need like shipping address and recipient, pay for it and ask them to leave the box open until end of day. Go home and print out the repair ticket thingy again, this time with the correct tracking number.

You are able to add your ticket as long as its pending. And I would write the support you had contact with already to check that everything is correct and the new tracking # is also in the system.

Its a stupid system but I honestly did not come up with a better way  Cheesy

Where are you located? If in US, Bitmainrepair might be easier.

Bitmain also has a repair location in the US now for the warranty repairs.

See their official repair guide at bitmain.com for more.

No my miners are located in europe just like me. I got really good tech guys taking care of my equipment in a data center providing dry and cold airflow. It happens we all know they are not the most reliable products, but it can be frustrating if you are all geeky like me in that area and it breaks lol

Ouch. At least it isn't a large percentage of your machines. If a small fish like us has 2 broken boards out of 3 or 4, that's a majority of our investment! We are losing a ton of money waiting for it to be repaired.

Congrats! What batch were your orders from? Last I heard they were shipping a few weeks earlier than expected, which I am definitely hoping for. Sept 21-30 batch for me.

So the order of my L3+'s that I was able to get from the mid-October batch was just today marked as "Expired" as it's been 7 days since they released it, even though I sent the wire transfer on the 28th, and uploaded proof the same day. They're going to change the status of my order back to Valid once they receive the transfer today or tomorrow, correct? If my order was just sold with that last small batch they released that was supposed to be unpaid orders... because my transfer didn't go through in time...  I'm going to be pissed.

Don't worry, this happens to us every time we do wire transfers and Bitmain always works it out (with the help of a support ticket occasionally). You won't get bumped, but I'd recommend submitting a support ticket now rather than later just to be safe.

These past few days haven't been business days, but my order is still unpaid and expired on their website. I received a letter from my bank two days ago saying the wire transfer was debited to their accoount, so they 100% have my money. Even though my order is unpaid and expired, I was able to upload proof of the transfer before it changed to expired, so that should help. I suppose they just haven't gotten to my support ticket yet which I submitted on the 28th when I initiated the transfer, and another ticket with more proof when the transfer was debited.

I don't like not knowing what is happening with this large of a sum of my money.

you will get your order sorted, they are slow now. imagine having 100K Wire orders to sort out every month. That will takes time.
i was lucky, Bella was slow but helpful.

Bitmain writes that the warranty is void if the machine was used in a "humid environment"
Does anyone know what exactly they mean by that ? I would like to run it in a basement with around 60% humidity atm.
I expect it to decrease as the heat increases.
These little hw-errors which are seen in the interface are normal if they are not very high, is that right ?

That is too much humidity and you are breaking the nominal values that are allowed for Antminer, so you might not get it fixed with warranty repair if something goes wrong and they notice damage because of the humidity.

Specs
https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/4081

It says "Operating humidity: 5% RH-95% RH"

They should run fine in 60% humidity, no? It would only make sense, I couldn't imagine them being damaged by humidity somehow since they run so hot.

The relative humidity is a function of temperature. Warmer air can hold more water vapor. So some thought is involved.

An extreme example might be wintertime. Suppose your miner has been on an unheated delivery truck, say at -10 F or C. You bring the box into your home. Your house interior could be 70F with say an 80% RH (soup for lunch or dinner). If you immediately open the box, there is the possibility that the miner surfaces will condense out the water vapor in the air because it's still cold. (This is probably why most electronics have those little water vapor absorption packets for travel .)

The point is that the miner environment has to meet the operating humidity spec but the miner has to be at the temp which the RH was measured. So if the environmental RH is high but within spec, an operating miner has a spec margin, because the miner and the internals are at an even higher temp.

Absolutely, any moisture in these miners will certainly ruin it.

The location is a cellar made of sandstone which has some air-circulation.
As it seems there are more humid places than my cellar with up to 90% morning-humidity:
https://www.currentresults.com/Weather-Extremes/US/most-humid-cities.php
That overall sounds really good. Probably i shall focus on keeping dust away from the intake-fan Smiley
With air-filtering the conflict i see is maintaining maximum airflow while catching all the dust.

 Operating humidity: 5% RH-95% RH, non-condensing

60% would be well within the specs.

High enough to CONDENSE is probably what they're worrying about.

Well if it for sure is non-condensating, then there is no problem with corrosion or anything and you can forgot my warning.
It's hard to say when I haven't visited this place but it's better give a warning to give a little shake to think about things.
