Yes I am a pirate, 300 years too late!

At least I passed on those L3++'s

Reality sucks right now with an L3+...too much drama!

Well, I'm making on my miners with elec/data hall rent etc exactly $1.89 a day FML!

24 hours   0.02819964 LTC   4.58 USD   2.69 USD   1.89 USD
7 days   0.19739749 LTC   32.08 USD   18.82 USD   13.26 USD
30 days   0.84598923 LTC   137.47 USD   80.64 USD   56.83 USD

Yep, living the dream! (sob.....) Sad

Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.
Whats the "real" difference between the L3+ and the L3++ or is it just a rebrand?
Mhs and watts looks the same.

Bitmain has not told us.

Most likely it could be overclocked a little.

Or maybe they have taken advantage of all the work Blissz did with his custom firmware? Who knows.

@madmartyk

Good to hear. I have gotten fed up with some of the various pools and I am working with some professional programmers to create my own pool. It will be a pool for miners like myself that want an honest good, reliable service with pool mining and exchange service. We need a reliable mining system that is easy and fun to use.

For LTC solo mining I have like http://ltc.tbdice.org/users.htm Found many blocks there over the years.

Some people will stop and eventually all people will stop if the miners become unprofitable. The problem is will they stop in time.
The other point is the one that really matters the most. We must mine some where other than the antpool. If we don't all is lost.

I have never mined on antpool.  My 4 have already come in and are already sold.  ROI in 2 days, plus a $200 each profit.

Actually, I'm starting to feel bad about mining my Bitmain r1-BTC usb hub and my Bitmain r1-LTC hub on antpool.....I wonder (bitmain being evil and all) if

you really COULD win a block on one of these and if you did..would they even tell you about such (or would you know?)

They probably have a LOT of hash from these puny lotto miners...no way to tell how much thou...from what I can tell

@searing

The real key to stopping the Bitmain and this greedy policy is two fold.

1. We need to simply stop buying the miners. We as miners should by only a few batches and then stop. If we don't do this the difficulty will become so high only people with huge mining operations will be able to show a profit.
2. Absolutely do not under any circumstance mine using their Ant pool server as this allows them to keep profiting from the sale of the miners and it forms a monopoly of profit for them.
We must mine some where else. Anywhere else otherwise Bitmain will completely monopolize and control all the coin markets. Part two is the most important.

You know that's like telling people to not dump coins on an exchange.  Sure sounds good, but it's not going to happen...

This l3++ is possibly just going to have the same specs as current overclocked/ under volted units.
L3++?Huh Are there actually people that think this is a “new” machine?? LMAO!!! Wow man...some people make it TOO EASY for Bitmain to take complete advantage of their position. WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT!!

Yep, hopefully no more new competition. There is no need for a stronger arms race when the amount to be earned is limited.

Network hashrate has been skyrocketing in the last few days as I suspect this latest batch of cheap L3’s are coming online. Difficulty about to jump another 8% or so in a few hours.

https://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/litecoin-difficulty-chart

Difficulty was 7.1 a week ago and now 8.3. That is a 14% increase.
Difficulty was 5.7 a month ago and now it is 8.3. That is a 31% increase.

Increase of difficulty in 1.1 in a week is madness. Total difficulty is 8.3 now.
That means that in just 8 weeks, we can possibly add 8.8 increase in difficulty....which is higher than the current 8.3.

If mining difficulty double, that means the litecoin amount mined is halved.
Litecoin price has to double to enable miners to mine at same profitability, if difficulty were to double.

If litecoin price does double, u make 100% gains by buying and holding ltc. If u were mining, u will be mining at higher profitability for awhile, and in just 8 weeks, mining difficulty can go back up to lower your profitability back to the same levels as before.

However, it is unlikely litecoin difficulty will go up at same pace since litecoin mining equipment price has increased now.
Still, there is too much asic production capacity.

So, lets hope no new stronger machines and no new asic manufacturer appear because we have too much asic production capacity as it is.
I dont understand why some people want more asic manufacturers and more healthy competition lol because competition leads to lower asic prices and far higher increases in mining difficulty as we have just seen. This leads to those at the bottom of the food chain, aka miners, earning far less lol.

This is the same for other algorithms currently.

I'm positive that Bitmain is feeding the "next release" technology into their own mines. They are mining at higher levels of profitability on the more efficient units. They always do this. Once they've devoured all the creme off the top, they'll release them to us poor saps to gobble the crumbs.
