Value will be measured in sats
any script coins peeps be using these doorstops 4 Huh?

Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Grin Grin Grin Grin

people are still using the Antminer  L3+ because it is still the fastest (and cheapest) scrypt miner available at the moment. with ltc/usd price being so low and all of bitmains financial worries, maybe there will not be a new litecoin miner for awhile Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

If you want order a brand new Bitmain Antminer L3+ unit then you can still buy stock over here:

until i get a replacement power supply, is it safe to run the L3+ with a smaller supply just connected to
the controller and a couple of the mining boards?
ie: will leaving some of the mining boards unpowered cause damage to the controller or anything? or will the L3+
merrily operate with what it has?

u will be ok

only use 2 boards at first

depends on power of psu ..

but I have had luck directly into plug with all boards -- it uses the least power of the rest from that era !

what size is supply ?

$52 Usd, each L3+ now   Cry

i pay $2400 for each one and Roi still a dream

remember if in USA to add 27.6% import fees and duties (more if you bundle a PSU with it I think?)

this is for the L3+ I mean for $52. ...so that puts it at $66,35,,,call it what with increased shipping prices $95-$100

to the door w/o a PSU?

ouch...

I just got 2 S9s (ordered 1 at a time).  I haven't gotten a bill for import fees, also when I got my minis in there was no fees.

I was told by a buddy that it is on the bitmain website that USA orders will have a 27.6% combination of tarriff and import fees.

Anyway, just what I was told. Have not looked at the site.

Bitcoin FTW!

lol, ya think?  I heard stuff arriving often with dust o the blades and dirty...

just saying...it is Bitmain. All that stuff they announced one day and shipped the next week...where do you think it came from? B3, A3, decred etc?

I like the never to ROI 7nm BTC miners they launched today. With a 27.6% tariff and import fees to the USA

never to ROI within a year current or sideways BTC prices.

The saying is: If you are buying ASIC equipment and hoping that your crypto of choice will pump to cover your equipment bet...you are better off just hodl'ing the crypto!

I wonder how long till the scrypt pow (LTC) version is out?

Also, these new 7nm BTC miners use a LIVE buss bar and PSU is attached on the side....thus no way to use all those previous Bitmain PSU and leads anymore...

so there is that also Sad

Considering these units are likely used units with previous use, there's definitely the chance that some units may be a bit dusty and need cleaning, though Bitmain has proven us wrong in the past and they've shipped out well-cleaned machines or machines with low use hours. The tariff does kill the break-even period in the United States where I unfortunately live like you said; I love mining, but at this moment it's either I get GPUs and mine with those or just buy and hold with the fees on top of the shipping costs and all.

The new design definitely doesn't bode well for future miners, and I wonder if Bitmain PSU prices on the secondhand market will drop as a result of this. I personally think there's a very high chance any future Scrypt miners will use a similar form factor to the S/T15s, but only time can tell.

I never thought this day would come.
They have to clear it because they contracted to buy alot of chips, right?

That or they are just dumping what they have in their mines which they have already ROIed obviously.

Hashrate is down over 30% from highs so they are definitely not making NEW units.

Interestingly, the last L3+s I received three days ago, were the first that came sealed into antistatic bags. Also unlike all my other previous L3+ from Bitmain these exhausted that certain "new-electronics"-smell for about 24 hours after being first powered.
From my about 6 or 7 batches that I received L3+s from, these were the first that looked and smelled really brand new.

Oh they have upgraded their nasty practices from he S5 days of shipping miners with dust in them. They probably have a whole line now that takes miners out of their mines, runs them through an PCB alcohol wash and just repack everything.

Felt wrecked first for having paid $171 for the miners that were delivered last Monday (felt like a bargain when I ordered  Roll Eyes ).
Though minus the $50 coupon (which you can't use anymore now) and minus having to send my passport to China makes the deal look not that bad in afterthought.

I conclude either BM has finally a new machine in the pipe or they start to run out of cash, I wonder how long it will take until they pay you if you order an L3+  Tongue

Well, Bitmain has dumped the price on an L3+ down to $289 and I bet it goes lower before the month is over.

https://www.bitmain.com/

In the past, this usually means that they are dumping the last of the old product, for new product, at least for scrypt-pow machines

but I still think they have the supposed 3x the speed unit for scrypt pow at whatever the watts coming out

if so ..this will get even more ugly for those still managing to mine at 8c kWh or under (the last of us..I'm out at 14c kWh ...sold my stuff)

frigging bitmain

bitmain: evil for bitmain, is like the sun rising, to be expected and its just another day! (tm bitmain)

Ya looks like Bitmain fire sale on the L3+ now, clearing out the rest of the inventory and spare parts it seems!
