Based on the history, gambling was legal in my country. There was a lottery game and sports betting (especially soccer) created and managed by the government in the past. Rules about gambling changed (maybe around 1993 gambling is totally banned) because there are many people against it as these people think that gambling can ruin people's morality. Since that time till now, gambling is illegal but there are still so many people do gambling especially lottery and card games both online and offline way. Honestly I do not understand why gambling is considered as a crime in my country while it does not affect or harm others. I still hope that gambling will be legalized in the future as it may give good income for the country through the tax and may open many job vacancies.

The place I live is where gambling is prohibited so no matter how much you try to make it legal, it is something that is absolutely impossible to accept. But even so, it doesn't mean that the prohibition keeps its citizens away from gambling, in fact gambling wherever I stop, there are still people who gamble. So, gambling is legal or not, there will always be gamblers in every country, so I think that the prohibition on gambling that is applied in countries that are contrary to gambling, they do not do that to the maximum, the gambling industry itself will continue to grow from time to time and will not be able to disappear.

I don't see why some countries would put it in an illegal way. There's a lot of money that can be accumulated from it for one government to be progressive.
Maybe even with a religious country they still let it go if it means more funding to make the country grow.
Here in our country there are still illegal ways to gamble but they are mostly just local games like cockfights and card games. But most large casinos do have permits and even government officials go there to promote it bringing tourists to play.

I will say no it's not fully legal but we don't have any restrictions from authorities stopping people from gambling we still go about our gambling business like it was fully legalized. New gambling companies with different kinds of gambling options keeps emanating daily and it's just becoming a normal business for anyone who can afford it's setup

I may say the same case in our country where people are free can do whatever they think that can have people to bet with it. From Beta fish fighting, cockfighting even spiders they will hunt it at night just to make it fight in the day just to bet whoever wins. This is how the people in our country operate. not to mention the other type of local games with the involvement of money they're doing. It's because the government doesn't want to involve itself in a small profit investigation. so, they won't really care about it here.
Besides that, I think the government thinks that they can not get any "hot money" if they catch the smallest gambler playing traditional gambling games.
Those games are for fun and fill their free time, so the government does not investigate that activity.
Suppose there is a case related to the person or illegal activity such as drugs inside the traditional gambling games. In that case, the government will investigate and try to find out by asking the local gamblers.
I think those gambling games are not played every day so it could be okay if people play those games occasionally with their friends or community.

I am from a country where gambling is completely legal. Of course gambling operators will have to secure a license first. That's the basic requirement of course. That is also the same with other countries where gambling is legally accepted. Gambling operations without licenses are illegal but they are also acceptable by the public. That is also true even in other countries where gambling is legalized. There is legal gambling but there is also illegal gambling.

A bit impossible for government to ban gambling industry or business in the vicinity, knowing that this industry is really profitable which means when it comes to tax then they are one of the top contributors

which does simply imply that they would really benefit out when it comes to economic enhancement or progress. For countries or places who doesnt depend on these revenue then bans and prohibitions would be there.

As a citizen then you wouldnt have any choice but to follow.

They can prosecute those that they can monitor but we all know countries that ban gambling have underground casinos that cater to casino players where playing in the casino is part of their lives, even in Muslim country there is a possibility of underground gambling maybe for foreigners and tourist, but it's hard to stop gambling when you have people who love to play or have played in other place and settle where gambling is ban

That's fact, even how hard the government tried to stop these activities the people who loves dealing this activity will always find ways to continue, we don't know how and we don't have the information about illegal gambling from those places where gambling is prohibited but the chance that it's still operating is very possible. People who love gambling can't be stopped, and to mention, corrupt government officials most of the time are in behind. That's why gambling owners continue to operate their business.

Most of the countries that has banned gambling is having same reason and that is religious belief in which respected by many people around the world.

But illegal gambling happens in all the world , even those countries that legalized gambling yet there are illegal operator under their Beds.

Gambling site and playing gambling are legalize in my country and I don't think any care if you get addicted at the end of the day or not but our pastors preach against playing gambling or owning a gambling company. Although, I do play gambling and I play it for the fun of it though I do make some money on some occasion.
Lol your pastors prohibit you from gambling yet you are pretending to be Enjoying and having fun? don't fool yourself  because you Know that you are aiming to win and doubling your money because if your only looking for fun? then you can find many ways and not in gambling.

I have heard from friends that they used to try few casinos whenever they stayed in GOA. Goa is a well tourist place where people around the world would visit this place to spend their holiday. I am sure few here might have such experience. Besides this, I have seen people playing in London. But not sure if its legal or illegal in these places. Must be a legalized game there I suppose.
Most areas don't bother with gambling legality the government most times don't even care if gamblers exist or not which makes it even easier for gamblers to go about their everyday routine without restrictions. This isn't common in all places most places don't have the free will to gamble as it isn't legalized in those areas but with most online casinos funding and betting has become even more easier by cutting regional barrier and government policies
Well I agree on the part that gambling isn't much focused by the government and they are just focusing those huge gambling establishments because there are huge money involved. Gambling isn't that bad, for some it's just for entertainment and there's nothing wrong with it and luckily it's not an issue if you play gambling, just make it sure to be on the regulated platform, not on illegal. It's very important to check all the informations and protocols on the area before playing if you really want to make things more secure.

I am just kind of curious how legalized gambling is coming along in whatever part of the world you live in?  I'm from Illinois in the United States and we just recently legalized many forms of gambling.  It's progressing pretty quickly too.  I'm hearing a lot of radio ads, seeing ads on TV for different sports books and what not etc.  I see this as great progress.  Free will is something we all deserve and though I know gambling can cause serious addiction etc, that shouldn't be up to our governments to decide whether we should be allowed to do it or not.

So I ask you, how is it coming along where you live?  Is it fully legal, coming close to being legal, or illegal with no change in sight?

I'm from a gambling-friendly country and can access any form of gambling at most.

However, there are gambling forms that are illegal here especially those unregulated ones. But still not a problem as authorities here don't have that sharp fist to become strict. As far as gambling sites concern, we can also access them here without a problem. The only time we can't access a gambling site here is, if that site restricts users coming from this region or country.
Just normal that illegal gambling places or operators would be always prohibited and here on my place it isnt illegal and there are in fact casinos nearby on my place which does signify that they are allowing or had already legalized and its just understandable that there would be regulations needed for you to follow.Im aint surprised that there are people or gambling places that do
exist underground which neither those places ran off by those government or someone whose influential then it isnt really that something that for you to be shocked on.

Like here, illegal gambling is everywhere, even on a public areas before pandemic. When there's a Police Mobile doing some routine check, people will just go away making it nothing happened on that area. There are even illegal gambling here that becomes legal like cockfighting. The market of cockfighting here is so big even prior to the most hype online cockfighting. That gambling is legal if it will be done to the official arena. But for fights outside of it, that was consider illegal.

Bet365, William Hill, BetVictor and other top gambling websites are based in UK, so, yeah, gambling is legal there and UK is very successful in it. Also, there are some very famous gambling companies from it's neighbour country - Ireland, for example - Paddy Power that owns a lot of famous casinos in different country.

Btw places like the one that you mentioned exists in poor countries to gain more capital from tourists and boost their countries economics. There is one city Batumi near the Black Sea where people from Tourkey, Iran and other muslin countries come to gamble and have fun. The income from taxing of gambling companies is the highest one that fills the country's budget.

In my place is a supportive place so gambling is allowed and of course this will help gamblers to carry out their actions without feeling burdened. here there is no problem if we follow gambling, the important thing is that we can choose or follow legal and good gambling. Various kinds of gambling are available, each with its own rules, it's just a matter of how we follow the gambling well. Of course I feel lucky with that so if you want to take part in gambling, you don't have to worry anymore whether it's legal or not.
It is a good thing that it was allowed in your country but the concern in terms of illegal gambling, will create a stricter policy that some people might not agree with especially when asking KYC. I know that some countries are allowing and legalize gambling/casinos just because this could be an additional income to the government. Will, at least we are comfortable and not even worried if the authorities will seize us because it was legal.
Well, the first step in picking a good casino will start with reading the TOS as always.
If you are in a regulated casino, it is expected that it has a KYC procedure and perhaps it is time for you to find another one that does not have regulated if you avoided KYC. Restricted countries on gambling are usually in the Islamic countries because it is against their church to gamble and think about it is a mortal sin. However, we are lucky enough that gambling in our place is legal and we are free to gamble anytime we want.
