In some conversations that I have had with some rich people who are old, they most times always say that they invested in real estate and that was how they made some fortune. Young people understand that investing is key and paramount to securing a better future like these Old rich men did then, But the question now is what exactly to invest in for young people. Is it wise to follow in the steps of the old rich men who had investments in Real Estate, or do they completely now invest in cryptocurrency? The answer is sometimes traced to the one that offers the lowest risk and loss of capital.

The less riskier from Real Estate and cryptocurrency is Real Estate, but less risk,, less reward. The risk that come with the higher volatility of cryptocurrency makes the profit that can be gotten bigger. Will you go for less risk, or big profit?

Most of the people will surely select the less risk, but ot is always said by the expert that if you only do investment with less risk you can also earn less profit, for me i believe that in crypto currency there is a less risk and big profit, one example is through investing and at the same time doing bounty hunting on some new promising projects you can earn a big profit if the project you promote and invest become successful i experience it so many times in bull run season, but for now i am still looking for a project to invest in, it is really hard to find a good project in a bloody market so let us wait and have more patience.

One thing we ought to note is that, times have changed and so have people too. Where we saw many potentials before hand have had far less. There is still a chance in real estate and other investments that have broken through the odds set against it but, its not as easy as we had it then and people have shifted focus to other fast rising ways to invest like we have now in cryptocurrency.
Something to be conscious about is that, there is a risk to reward ratio in whatever investment we pick and the greater the risk, the more the reward.
Where it gets difficult to accept is the fact that, these high risk options are hard to come by and you can lose big as well.
It's better to stick with what is minimal and can be endured easily than, going for the big bag and ending up empty. Gradual accumulations can still get you there too.

I think depends on your age. Better is a combination of both always. There is obviously a meter of your life, in early ages with lesser responsibilities you have the bandwith to take more risks without any worries but eventually there will be a time when you won't have that much risk aversion.
Why it should depend on age?
I think it depends on its goal. If the main target is earning big profits, I think it is no problem to invest in riskier things like crypto coins. No investment has no risk, higher profits always require bigger risks. If someone prefers to invest in less risk things like Gold or land, it means his main target isn't for higher profits but he targets for safe profits whether it is small or big. And another main goal is to keep his wealth in something which doesn't lose its value over time.

Even if you are still young, you shouldn't choose something to invest in freely/carelessly. You should be selective to choose assets that suit our targets.

and with that aspect, only invest where you are most familiar of. some are not going into crypto even if we say, there's chance of good profits because they don't know or they have very little information about how things are going here. a lot are still going with their investments on tangible assets like real-estate. even if we say, the profit is not that big, but you are very sure that even after so many years, you still own such property if you have your documents. but with crypto, most alts are dying, so even after months of investing, you are not sure if your funds are still intact. your choice on this matter.

A better question for the thread title is low risk or high risk? Because high risk does mean high rewards, it comes at a cost - it's high rewards because the odds are working against you in this scenario. You are not guaranteed big profit at all and you are more likely to lose money in such investments. However people are on the whole rubbish at estimating risk and are very over confident in calculating outcomes. Cryptocurrency is not real estate or anything like it. It's an asset, a commodity (in the loosest possible sense) and is not comparable to physical property in the real world - which is a lot more useful in reality. You cannot build a house on top of virtual currency and it's a totally false equivalence.

The degree of risk is never insignificant. It is possible to earn a little over a long period of time, risking small amounts and closing trades as soon as you have earned 2-3%. But one day, as a result of drastic changes, you can lose everything. That's why sometimes it's better to choose risk for the sake of big profits.

for young people and just starting their career buying real estate is impossible, so it's better to take small investments that provide consistent profits first such as buying mutual funds, stocks, crypto in small quantities and collected.
then we can do another step after that.
This the reality and you can choose the lesser risk if you are afraid to lose that much, I prefer stocks for a lesser risk here. Honestly, my main goal is to have my own house because until now, its too impossible for me to have it but I’m hoping that with my profit in crypto, I can have such properties where i can use for generating passive income, i guess many also wanted this.

For me. the biggest favor you could do yourself is securing your money after retirement. I've seen one too many old people who have nothing left in their retirement money and so they live their old days in abject poverty which sucks so much considering that's supposed to be the only time in your life when you'll be free at all. So with that being said I always suggest getting a 401K or a version of it in your country if you're not living in the US. Invest in it soon as you get a consistent paycheck and do not stop with the payments until you retire. You'll find that along with the money you have saved, you'll also get some percentage as bonus due to the fact that this savings include some form of investment as well that the bank you transacted with would pay you in dividends. So secure your retirement, and get yourself a 401K

Less risk or bigger profit? That is for the investor to decide on what he prefer. In terms of real estate or properties, risk is still present but there is no doubt that it is less risky in comparison with Bitcoin as an investment simply because it shows a mote consistency with the price increase over years on properties. The rate of increase with the price of Bitcoin is definitely higher but do tend to change from time to time which is what non-crypto investors are still confused of. Many investors would choose less risk in exchange for a bigger profit because it allows them to diversify their assets into different one. Unlike with volatile investments wherein risk is always present but high rewards in return. So you decide.

The truth of the matter is the more risk you take the bigger profit you make, everything we do in life involves taking of risk, it takes risk to even sleep and wake up the next morning sound and healthy, anyone that is not ready to take risk is not ready to be successful or let's say make profit in what he or she is doing. So I will go with more risk big profit because that is goal, the goal of every one investing is to make a big profit or we take the risk and make the profit.
What about the possibility of losing? Don't tell me that you forget it? Big risk do also equates for bigger losses if one is unsuccessful in his attempts. Life is already full of risks so will you still add more? What important here in financial matters is to risk only what you can afford to lose easily so it doesn't always need to be big.

There is still a chance for us to transform this small amounts to a bigger one as long as we are skillful enough and if our luck is also within our side. Taking risks doesn't always mean that we are aiming for success but some are just trying to live their life normally. Success isn't always about the money or profit anyway.

There is no gain without risk and anything that have no risk is not worthy of doing. There's nothing risky than the life itself. Yes, life is very risky because your tomorrow is not assured forget physical and healthy status. However, I personally don't like anything that involves high risk hence I will always choose less risk in order to secure my capital. Bitcoin investment is not as risky as some real estate investment thou due to some natural disaster that use to occur at times. The bottom line is that always invest what you can afford to lose.

Before investing in real estate, you must have a lot of money. Not all young people have it. I prefer young people now to invest in crypto because they can invest whatever amount they have so that it won't be difficult for them and they can arrange when to continue investing.

Every investment has obvious risks, including real estate and crypto but in crypto, these investments can provide more opportunities to earn big profits because we know how bitcoin moves. Meanwhile, for investment in real estate, we may be constrained by the initial capital to get started.

In life, the ultimate financial goal is to own a property or a house.

Sadly current generation are stuck with inflation that outpace stagnant or laggard salaries. Even rentals are taking a larger slice of the expenditures pie especially in cities.

While crypto is a more "viable" form of investment, not everyone could stand seeing their profits enter the red and green zones repeatedly. They might sell before the profit season and get jaded pretty quickly.

I will definitely choose both because nowadays real estate is still worthy of being used as investment advice and has been proven for a long time. Then other investments where we are also required to keep up with technological developments where there are investment objects and to become part of the youth, investment in crypto needs to be allocated. So for me personally, if there is an opportunity that has long-term profit value, I will definitely invest.
But we know that real estate business is never been that cheap and thats why lots had failed on acquiring one and this is why its not really that some common man or investor would be able to purchase properties. This is why not all people do fall into real estate business and this is why we do miss out opportunities on having this investment but we do know that there are other choices which we could make some engagement. It might not really be giving that assurance but at least we could really be having the chance on making money or profits but of course it does have
higher risks which not all could able to bare it out.

Everyone has its principle of pursuit or achievement, from your analysis it's obvious that you proclaimed or referring real estates investment as ancient kind of business, investment varies and it depends on the particular you can defend or you know better, old people choosing real estate management investment far back, doesn't mean that real estate investment has crashed or not yielding profit any more. Investment is a business you know that you have the pre knowledge and you have also given it a trial and know the risk which is involve before you resume to it.

Many people don't value any other side business because of trading, and they are chosing trading as highest kind of investment that enhance to riches while their is other business that's very lucrative like these real estate investment can you to become a billionaire and it depends on a personal strategies.

actually it's a good investment but for young people like us to earn large amount of money in a short time is not easy.
so young people will invest at a lower rate or within their current financial reach.
Indeed, real estate provides a large return, but to start it requires a lot of money too.

The best is definitely to diversify your investments because you will not become rich from a single investment. In the past, investment options were limited, and therefore many people preferred real estate to the extent that here it is called “real estate is a good son.” But the investment obstacle 50 years ago and now is completely different.

If you have surplus funds, start diversifying your investments as follows:

Cash (for emergencies) 20%
Bitcoin 20%
gold 15%
Shares15%
real estate 15%
High Risk Investments 10%
Any other investments5%

This comes with different factors.
What is your age? What is your risk tolerance? How much capital you have? Can you afford to lose money if worst thing happens?

What's good with Real Estate is that, the price most of the time appreciates because land can't be build, and with many buildings being built on lands, the supply of land is decreasing while the demand is still increasing thus, making the price even higher. Cryptocurrency on the other hand, can give you huge profits especially in the bull run, but the risk is very high especially when you accidentally bought at the peak of the bull run. You might incur huge losses especially when you bought at the wrong time.

Age is a huge factor with this one. If you are older, you can't afford to risk into cryptocurrency because of the losses that you can get. On the other hand, if you are younger, you can just take a huge risk and invest into some riskier assets like crypto because you can still work with the losses that you can get. TBH, the question is a bit subjective and it will depend on which person you are asking that with. As for me, I'd go for bigger profit since I'm young enough to take some risks, and as I become older, I will lessen the risks from my investments.
