It's for the children!
Hi Jack/asiabtc,

Please consider selling the ATX PCIe cables on their own. How much for 20 including shipping?

Also, I will be interested in the 15 Mh/s scrypt ASIC miner. Any idea on the cost? Please put me on the pre-order list.

price for 15 MH is 11000 USD, based only on pre-orders.

Ouch, is that the for sure price?
Seems a bit expensive if the new V2 miners are getting
3.8Mhs just buy 4 sets for $10k?
its different. new model is in rack case. and scrypt only.

Hi Jack, would it use the same chips as current miners but
with the SHA256 disabled or a new version of the chip?

yes. LA15MS is based on gc3355 but diable sha256.

so whats the point? For $11,000 I could build a fairly compact GPU farm that would probably be in the 13-17 Mhash range and retain full resale functionality. the only drawback is the power draw

Look at that you worked out half of it by yourself.

15Mh/s racked in 2-4U at under 1Kw vs 15Mh/s racked in 10-20U using what 5-10Kwh?

Over the long term sticking these in a data center would payoff more than GPU's (For some)

We must become the pitiless censors of ourselves.
I agree, $11k is expensive. $9000-9500 would be good.
i hope i can do this price. but very difficulty.

If you can, the whole market is there for you.

If someone can tell me how/if it's possible, I'll rip the firmware off my v2 and upload it. Unless it's a bad translation, it sounds like jack wants to send (or sell) you a new controller with the v2 firmware on it.

Check this thread linked in the guide: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5305449

Couldn't find info in that thread but I did find something that may work elsewhere.  I'll try to rip my v2 firmware tonight and upload it for the masses.

I tried but I couldn't get the controller into failsafe mode.  I tried every which way for both versions of the tplink.  not sure if it's possible to remove failsafe mode from the firmware or not.

Failsafe mode is disabled in v2 firmware.

Are you getting the promised 500 KHs from V2?  I'm running under Ubuntu and getting 362KHs @ 850 Mhz using cgminer 3.7.2 from https://github.com/dtbartle/cgminer-gc3355

I don't recall seeing any v2 user confirm the 500khs rate...

To clarify, it was never "promised", but clearly the way it was marketed did have a number of us interpret it that way.

I'm getting the same performance as you and using the same cgminer.

My LA3M came with v2 firmware on controller and if you think v2 is better hear this: Everything above 750 Mhz will result in lower performance. In fact the more you try to clock the lower Mhs output will be .AT 900 MHs all miners are red -stopped working .
From what I read it was not the case with v1.Also on v2 miners restart  nevertheless I set them to NEVER restart.

In conclusion:chips are great with high clock potential but  controller sucks probably because of hardware limit -needs more ram ?
I will try run them today on my old EeePC  ubuntu machine as I saw people getting A LOT better  results after ditching this controller no matter if v1 or v2. I don't think the TP link is the best choice as a controller for running 10 or more units even in v7.

Crap....I should have just bought the miners by themselves I guess?
