I wojld like to know about board preforrmance and overlocking. Burnin bitburner can run at 450 mhz, 9hhs for 20 avalon board, that is awesome result. I think that bkk has run 4 chip populated board at 370mhz with low hw errors.

Steve need to update us the same way sebastianju and zefir with their gb buyers.
If anybody want to have my 5 k16 pm so we can arrange something. At this point i would be happy with 1200$ paid in btc.
Iam in eu so shipping and 25% vat what i need to pay when order arrive in my country pose additional expense what i think is not worth.

FWIW still in for my 32 assembled chips in B3. It's academic at this point...I want to support Bkk by running his hardware in the wild. Still excited for this project even after all the noise

Someone earlier asked what would happen if a later batch order would arrive before the early batches and it was argued that the assembly should happen in the order regardless of what batch number was delivered.

With the latest developments I believe that there is a likely possibility of a later batch arriving before the early ones,  and it would be good to know what would happen in that case. Especially now when there is an offer for a refund for the early batches with a possibility of them not being delivered.

Has anyone here considered the idea that refunds for batches before the cutoff date are NOT "optional"? Remember, Yofui hasn't explicitly said he WILL ship earlier batches if refunds aren't requested.

Think about it. He's offering refunds for those orders he missed delivery on. But he's NOT refunding later orders, because he thinks he can fill them. He may well have been advised by legal counsel that this is his best course of action - to refund orders he's missed, and ship the orders he can produce on time.

The problem is if he fills earlier orders that don't want refunds, then he risks pushing later orders into "past due" status. BitSynCom has been anything but predictable, but I doubt they will fill earlier "refund eligible" orders before filling the orders they can still manage to deliver on time. It seems like they are FINALLY in risk management mode, and I'm betting their focus is going to be on filling the later batches. They may well wait to ship "refund eligible" orders till the chips are plentiful, thinking "Hey, we offered them a refund…"

Just thinking out loud here… as we have seen, anything is possible.

Edit: spelling/grammar

Stop using branwallets
In his latest post Yifu said that he was working with some buyers on compensation that was other than a refund.  Perhaps we can get a % rebate off our chips.

I've sent an email to SB just in case he is not monitoring the forum.

Great, thanks.

The refunds seem to be very time sensitive. Hopefully Steamboat will have some ideas for us soon...

True... but if you want to buy a bitfury chip today... it will cost around 1 BTC (re-evaluated weekly... currently significantly lower than 1 BTC at $108, but the idea is to float to BTC value).  The big advantage to bitfury chips is you can buy just 1 if you wanted rather than train car full of avalon chips.

While I am not a member of a group buy of chips (I was an Avalon Batch 3 purchaser who opted for a refund), it still looks like the avalon chips are the best asic chip deal available (GH/BTC).

I don't know if BFL has delivered yet, but Bitfury chips are 2.5GH/1BTC (since they are pricing in 1 chip per btc).
Avalon chips are .3GH/.078BTC = 3.8GH/BTC (about 50% more performance than the bitfury chips).

Personally I love the bitfury chips and their customer service, but the numbers don't lie.  If Bitsyncom can actually ship out batches on Wednesday, it still be the best "available" option out there (if you can hold your nose long enough to wait for them to arrive).

That is true but bitfury buyers for august delivery did not paid so much. And chip is only half of overall miner cost.
Thy paid starter kit for 1300 usd 16 chip h board, m board and rabs pi. Instead of 25gns they got 40 ghs

If it is true that chips will be available for shipping on wednesday, maybe the more batches people ask for refunds on the more chance there is that our batches will be able to be shipped on wednesday due to fewer and fewer batches actually ending up wanting to be shipped...

Good point.

Also, BTC is now roughly $143 ask price on gox, that ROI is looking better every day....

Roi is viable only in btc, otherwise we could buy btc and hold them.

Steve need to offer asambly refund, pcb and part can be kept and siping cost also should be refundable. We have paid two month ago to reserve parts, but other unspend charges should be refunded. That is lsd responsibility.

I agree that SB needs to analyze all this and come up with a plan. Let's hope he does so as fast as possible though, both because of the Weds deadline and because it sounds like Yifu has started actually refunding already (SamGriffin). I'd prefer that we are near the front of the refund line given historically plays out with delays.

SamGriffin confirmed that he received a refund on their 10k order.

We need to act fast before Yifu changes his mind.

Yifu is accepting refunds for batches up to 22 of June.

Edit: wrong month.
