I'm still seeing ROI in 2 1/2 months with 128 chips in group buy 1 & 2, calculated a 20million difficulty increase per month rather than percentage since it will inaccurately fluctuate:
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/b8349117c8

Initial investment Approximately:$2552
Profit over ROI is approximately: $3,800
In estimates you guys need to stay away from percentages and instead calculate a little above average Millions per month changes in difficulty.

sadly i think in three months time, monthly difficulty increase will be 40MM+.. it cant stay on 20, it was 15 the last 11 day update!
this month from 37 to 65!
20MM per month is sadly not a viable guess, 30-40 could be better.

You needing to reading again.  They still be waiting on Avalon batch.

Those chips had to come from somewhere. Also http://thegenesisblock.com/bitmine-ch-receives-first-avalon-asic-chips-in-august/

There seems to be some more proof of another shipment today here: https://bitmine.ch/?p=819

Does anyone know when this group made their chip order? I could not seem to find it on their site, and it was not in the tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiLYkKIHJaIsdHpIaGdUOWRYVUdncTNpNlVKbVhCbEE#gid=0

OK. BitSynCom claimed to be shipping 4-5 batches a day about one week ago. Since then it''s been verified that TWO shipments have been made. Not 20, not 25. Not even four. TWO!

I'm sick to death of this waiting and doing nothing. We are being cheated and lied to. Plain and simple.

We need to do SOMETHING. Anything! As long as it isn't wait.

I personally advocate setting a specific date (in the VERY near future) by which time BitSynCom provides FULL disclosure of the whereabouts and status of ALL SHIPPED CHIPS, and a detailed shipping schedule of each proposed future shipment.

Barring their presumed noncompliance with those demands, we should be prepared to file a civil suit, and most importantly, CRIMINAL charges against BitSynCom and it's principals.

At any rate, a Steamboat update IS LONG PAST DUE! (Yes, I DO require constant hand-holding by the group buy head if the current plan is still indefinite waiting.) I know posting here is a horrible bother, but since Steamboat stands to make money from this no matter WHEN the chips arrive, the least he can do is "waste" some of his valuable time updating us. Even if it's just to say the obvious: "Guess what, guys - you're screwed!"

I know this post is quite negative in tone, and is certain to step on toes. But I'm done! We're already screwed, how will it hurt to start raising legal hell?

@Steamboat
Any updates on the status of this project do you have K16 PCB's on hand?
Thanks:)

Think. Positive. Thoughts.
I added one as well. More than 2 weeks late without a good excuse or communication regarding time frame would make me give any trader a negative, why should Yifu be any different?

just clicked on bitsyncoms trust rating and gave them a scamming review

Good idea. I'm doing this as well. We all should take a minute or two to do so.
yup, everyone head over to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=68196
and give him a poor trust rating, it'll look like this: http://imgur.com/q58JdcB

What sucks is that **nothing** is happening. We're all just losing our money in slow motion.
Yes... this is what I was implying... I just couldn't find the energy to continue typing after 'this sucks'. Just depressing to see such poor form & communication by all parties involved.

449 * 3,249,550 = 1,459,047,950 Projected difficulty on Jan 8, 2014 if current growth had been sustained from the beginning to the end of the year.

Here are some ROI calculations:
assume your electricity costs $0.15 per kWh and assuming a single miner uses 50 watts per hour to run.
assume a very steep .1 profitability decline per year e.g. difficulty increased to 10x the original difficulty after 1 year.

At difficulty 37.4 million:
over 12 months of running you would earn 692.67$. It will take about 1.64 months to pay for your miner, the rest is income.

At difficulty 100.4 million:
over 12 months of running you would earn 18.91$. It will take about 7.5 months to pay for your miner, the rest is income.

My data looks much different than yours.  I also prefer to express return in BTC rather than $.  Data assumes 20% increase in difficulty.  Gain is calculated for each window of difficulty then added to the next window until difficulty reaches a point of BTC and electricity canceling each other out per period (Around 2,000,000,000 Difficulty).  This is for one K16 miner (elec included).  I'm already past ROI.

This is what I posted on 8 August, since we are now going around in circles. No ROI, IMO.

here is from genesisblock
Historical Difficulty Increase
30 Day   110 %
60 Day   240 %
90 Day   441 %

Past performance is not a guarantee of future resuls.
Have I claim to be gurantee? I dont think so, I am just concerned it will be a lot more then 25% per month as Laserhorse posted.More likely double that.

I'm hoping that they may actually get to Steamboat before middle of September.

We'll probably still make ROI, just not as much ROI as we were looking for...heh.   Grin

Not sure what calculator you're looking at -- ROI is pretty much gone.

Here's what my calculations have come up with. This is for 2x K16, 9000 Mh/s (no overclocking), 2x32 Watts each, $0.10 kw/h electricity cost (my cost off my bill), and assuming $300 per K16 cost, 25% increase in difficulty a month, starting at 65 million (right now). I used https://bitclockers.com/calc

I do not call this an "optimistic" projection with 25% increase in a month. Break even point is 10 weeks with this projection. Let's admit that isn't great, but it's not bad either.

                          24 hours              1 month             1 year               90 days
Est difficulty:    65,000,000      81,250,000     945,874,490    125,794,251
BTC earned:    0.06963427    2.08902818    9.68643337    5.06324722
Revenue:            $ 8.38           $ 251.44             $ 1,165.86            $ 609.41
Power cost:    $ 0.15             $ 4.61                 $ 56.06            $ 13.82
Net revenue:    $ 8.23            $ 246.83             $ 1,109.80            $ 595.59

A month ago it would have been double that.

So, if you have 2xK16 in Batch one (like I do), you'll still make ROI, at least, some kind of ROI. I also have some in later batches...which of course are more suspect. But, it's not going to be the end of the world, as some have predicted. Just the end of crazy ROI and the end of greed.

*edited in response to above*. You're still gonna make $550 a year, projected, per K16 at current difficulty levels. If the difficulty increases again before we get them, it will depend on the value of Bitcoin. Still, you'll probably make what you put into it.

25% incrase per month?? Shocked
Current rise is 100% a month and what will be when knc and bitfury start nobody knows but for sure a lot!!
Steamboat, you need to communicate with us. To have some idea what to do. We need to have an refund option for assambly, I'am sorry but that is your service not avalon.
Also, what is going on with k16 testing and overlocking probability?
Not answering pm and emails make us even more concerned!
