Steamboat:
please, if not much trouble, provide inovice within the package when send internationaly. To some country declared value means nothing, they must have inovice so they can charge VAT (in my country 25%). That Vat charges goes on top of item price and shipping cost! Damn expensive, but there is nothing we can do...
If you forget, then package can sit at customs for additional week or more, until I send customs all documents to complete customs process. I don't mind paying VAT, but to wait additional week because of that will be unecessary.

Thanks a keep a good work  Smiley

How much is 25% on the BTC you paid for your order? This can be quite interesting. For different people the cost of aquiring btc can be very different.

Price is shown in $ but payment method is bitcoins. Steamboat site does provide inovice with all relevant details needed. I just ask to provide copy of the inovice within the package.

Finally got my order in. I was worried I might not make it before the deadline. Order #100000125 for 4 miners sent! If I have spare chips (I bought 4 extra) will they just ship along with the miners?

I'm hoping to have some singles made with my extras... Smiley

Hopefully they just ship them along with my assembled units. I'm sure they will.

I wrote steamboat with that question. He answered to the affirmative. If you have extra chips more than your miner they will just be shipped along with your miner once its made.

Good to know, thanks. It's also nice the see it affirmed that there will be a refund option for unused chips. Although right now the idea of getting the singles made with the extras is pretty appealing.

I'm wondering if I have the skills to place the ASIC if I order a few single kits. I've worked with my hands my whole life, and I'm a real DIY type, but I have NO experience in electronics... Prolly gonna be a bit over my head :/

Payment for 16 boards assembled completed. Quick question though, is it possible to bump the shipping up from priority to express? The BTC price was fluctuating so rapidly that I couldn't wait for my remaining .3 BTC to clear (In hindsight, i'm glad I didn't!). Is that shipping price paid directly to you or to the fabricator?

The site is going down for maintenance while we port to the dedicated server. This should only take a few hours.

I thought there was an option to get a refund on any used chips?

Yes, that is still an option

Another question: Can anyone ask to ship his fully assembled unit to his shipping address after taking hosting service for some months? For me, this year and till mid next year I won't be able to host the device at my place but from the mid-next year I want to bring back the device to my new place. I think that shouldn't be a problem, right ? What are the criteria?

That part was answered by steamboat earlier - he said there's no problems shipping it at any stage provided you pay the shipping costs...

@Kapz786, Thanks.. That's great indeed. Steamboat is awesome.

Steamboat, thanks for quick and clear updates and also thanks for pre-purchasing the batch 6.

Just bought 16 * 13 = 208 chips and already sent email to [email protected] according to the format.

Hope the confirmation links and mail will come soon from you, steamboat.

Need to know more information about remote access, mining pool selection at hosting services.

$0.115 was used. I believe the method used was 8% of the profits divided by the difference in the electricity rates. At the current difficulty the difference in the standard electricity costs would equal roughly 14% of the hosting fee, while the hosted rates would equal 8% of the hosting costs. While the difference would actually increase, and end up equaling a zero or negative cost once higher difficulty is considered, the calculation is convoluted and subject to speculation, and as such has been removed.

Do you have any more info regarding hosting - do we have control of the units - or is it more a case of you set it up to whatever pool and just maintain it?

Host your units for 8% of the revenue generated, plus $0.06kw/h for electricity used. If currently paying the national average for electricity, this equals a roughly 3% premium to have your units hosted and maintained

How was this calculated? I am getting ~1% cost using $0.1kw/h.
